Hi all.

Today proved to be interesting on several levels. It all started late last night. This week is chocked full of things that need to get done, homework being on the top of my list. I spent a great deal of yesterday working on a 5 page paper on the Salem Witch Trials for my history class, and finishing a radio ad that was due in written form today. I was up until about 2 am working. I got the radio ad done, but I'm not quite done with the history paper. This left me very tired for today.

I got to the radio station early and finished all that, which left me plenty of time for lunch before my next class. I hit the cafeteria and got a salad and sandwich (which is my usual) and thought all was going good since I beat the lunch rush. As I eagerly dug into my salad, I noticed a peculiar insect wriggling it's legs around on a green pepper slice. I dismissed the salad right away, but found it hard to eat anything else of my lunch after that. So much for being lucky with lunch.

My next class went over really well. We are watching "Network," which talks about the corrupt world of television. So far, it's really interesting! After that class ended I had some spare time, so I ran to the library to take a short nap in between that and my next class. That was nice since I needed the little power nap. But all was not well when I awoke. I noticed some people staring at me, but I didn't think much of it. Lots of people take naps (and set alarms on their phones) so I just thought they were annoyed by my phone alarm. Once I got to my next class, one of my friends pointed out what people were staring at. I had a huge rip in my shirt under my arm, and you could see my whitie tighty bra! Not wanting to expose myself further, I covered the rip with some duct tape that we have in the TV station. Every other word out of people's mouths had something to do with duct tape after that.

I ran home and changed as soon as I possibly could after class, but apparently I didn't run home fast enough. We had a huge series of storms roll through the area, and I got soaked getting from my car to my house. Good thing I was changing my clothes anyway!

Later tonight I had to finish the last 5 hours of my radio air check for my basic radio class. During the first hour, my alergies decided to act up and I needed a tissue between scopes. (A scoped air check is when you record onto a tape what you say on the air. It is not the music!) Something must have really upset my nose, because it started bleeding really badly! I had to read two news stories and the weather report (which I might add has been VERY active today) with my nose spewing blood! Thank heavens I didn't get any blood on the controls, let alone my clothes.

During my nose bleed episode, I swallowed a lot of blood. Blood must give me gas, because I burped a lot after the nose bleed, and each burp tasted like blood (EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!) This was into the first hour of my five hour shift, and I knew I couldn't stand that taste any longer! Luckily, the cafe was still open upstairs, so since I knew I was going to be burning the midnight oil anyway, I ran up to grab a cup of coffee. I got there just before it closed, and the girl working that night was really nice to me. After I payed, I left out the exit door. Unbeknownst to me, the other cafe worker was mopping. I was in a hurry to get back down to the radio station, and I ended up slipping and falling, spilling my coffee everywhere. None of it got on my clothes (thank goodness!) but the floor was a mess and the cafe guy was not too happy. The girl inside let me get another coffee at no cost to me, but she told me that I had better leave through the other door.

Once my coffee and I were safely down at the radio station, the coffee canceled out the gross blood tasting burps. Things were going much better for me on my air check until I came upon a Dido song. I almost mispronounced Dido's name (I almost called her the name of a female bedroom toy. Three guesses what I'm talking about.) I caught myself as I said "dil," so to cover myself, I said Dilbert. Lucky me! That would have caused me an instant F had I said the other word!!!

As the air check came to a close, I began to get really bored. Bordom and sleep deprivation can make me act kinda crazy. To keep myself awake, I began dancing to some of the songs. The next person to have an air check saw me dancing in the studio to the song "Walk Like an Egyptian" and now has a lovely way to blackmail me on her camera phone. She's one of the people I tutor on the Avid editing system, so I know she's just teasing. Let's just hope she doesn't put it up on YouTube or something.

Sounds like you had a gross day, Edit.

As for the lunch thing, yeah, that would make me lose my appitite as well. I won't eat the school salads anymore...I got sick on the spinich one day, not too terribly long after it came back on the market after the ecoli scare. I was up sick most of the night, and the bad thing about that was I had a psychology test the next day at 9:30 in the morning. I haven't touched the school's salads since.

(At least you didn't eat the bug...)

I think you need some hot chocolate and a stuffed animal to cuddle. It just wasn't your day. Hopefully tomorrow will be better for you Edit.

At least you didn't burn yourself with coffee. I did that the other day at work when I was handing a customer their coffee. It was so hot it still looks like I have sun burn on my hand.
