800 metres. 5 minutes of running/jogging/walking/saying'shitshitshitican'tdothisshitshitshti' 6 puffies of an inhaler. 15 minutes of pain.
Basically, it was a choice of 'do the 800m as fast as you can' or 'run for five minutes'. I chose the latter, because running fast is NOT my forté.
So I did 800m in that time, so it's good that I chose the latter 'cause I was with people who did roughly the same (three people 50 in front of me, roughly ten people 100m behind me), whereas if I chose the former, I'd be running for about a minute after everyone else had stopped, because they're all good at running and things. I, however, am asthmatic. And because I'm a freak, I HATE having to stop, because it makes me feel weak, so if I start walking them I only give myself five seconds before going back to jogging, running the last 100m.
Anywho, after 5 minutes, we could stop, so I started walking to try and stop my heart from dying. I literally couldn't breathe more than a tiny tiny tiny tiny tiny amount of air at a time, so I had to use my inhaler (I HATE IT. I DON'T LIKE BEING ASTHMATIC scream so i kind of try to deny that i am? sweatdrop Anywho, so after ten minutes of agony and three more inhaler uses (i'd used it twice beforehand, unfortunately), there were just five more minutes of just plain pain before we went inside to get changed. Just gotten dressed (I get dressed quickly, thank GOD because smile when everyone starts using their spray deoderants (which I can't spell and aren't even allowed in school Dx). I get out of their quick and have to go up two flights of stairs to go to my classroom.
That's when I start shaking and giggling like a maniac. And I decide that it's quite pleasant when I'm shaking because it's really just making me scared and I can't feel the pain.
So Paul tells me to not to even consider overdosing on inhaler (because it makes me shake badly when I do that, which I've done only once before when no one had really told me what to do with it, so I just tried to take it until the breathing came back - NOT GOOD) and I have to start walking home.
All in all?
PE is the most legal form of torture.
[/end rant, which was very whiney and self-centered and spoilt and things, but I had to get it out of my system. sweatdrop ]

Oh, we don't get that. We get, 'shut up and run bitches'
At least we're seperate from the boys. Though they like to watch us when the girls and boys are out on the field together. -self conscious-
And GAWWWD. Girls probably know what I mean by this already, but boobs + running for five minutes = PAINFUL. crying

...even though it's making it very difficult for me to find a decent-fitting prom dress right now stare .
Anyway, I love running fast! I have no stamina, but a whole lot of speed.

I have had asthma since I was 5. Please concider that you are not taking your medication properly. And that you can fix this!! Have a chat with your doctor the next time you are due for a check up. Don't let asthma control you-you control your asthma. You can do it!! Swimming is great exercise for asthma, rhythmic breathing builds strength and endurance!! razz

Probably because my old swimming teacher once nearly drowned me. o____o
But the last doctor I saw about it didn't have a clue what she was talking about (I think? Dx). She said, 'take your inhaler every time you feel out of breath'. I'D BE USING IT EVERY TWO MINUTES. Dx
