The High Peaks Haven

I‘m fairly new to the shop compared to many, so if there‘s anything I‘m missing or if there is anything you’d like to see added as a detail, please feel free to post it here or PM me.

The basics:
This will be a fairly withdrawn pack. They are set aside from most other wolves, and yet are not completely out of reach. There isn't a whole lot restricting wolves in the pack from meeting others outside it, but it is difficult for a wolf new to the territory to navigate to the core of the packlands without a guide. The core of the packlands is a twin-peaked mountain, perpetually covered with snow, that is not easily accessible to those who don’t know the way. Pack members are generaly level-headed, calm, and wise. They function as a family unit regardless of blood relation to one another, and are in general staunchly protective of this ‘family’.

The pack also serves as something of a refuge, not for those with physical ailments, but for the mentally disheveled. Disturbed, depressed, or distrustful wolves not at risk of causing harm to the pack are screened and shown the way into the peaks to allow them refuge and a stable environment to ‘recover’. Any aggression shown by recovering loners is not tolerated. After a period of time, a well-renewed wolf may have the option of joining the pack.

Rankings in this pack will be strict simply because of its nature. However, wolves need not be securely mated because of the possible coming and going of wolves from the lands. Contact with outside wolves is in no way discouraged.

The Lands:
The pack lands will include the snowcapped twin-peaked mountain and a small valley at its base for hunting grounds. The core meeting and den area is nestled between the two peaks, where a small grove of evergreens stand. This area is always snow-covered because of its lofty height. Above this area, the trees disappear and the tops of the high peaks are bare of trees and shrubs. The valley below is of a more normal climate, and a secondary den site can be found at the base of the mountain, though it is largely unused except for hunting.

Pack Doctrine:

Protect your family as best you can. Knowingly allowing one of your pack family to suffer without intervention is punishable by expultion from the pack. Wolves accused of this have a right to bring their case before the alpha(s).

Keep our security. Do not bring an outsider to the high peaks without either first knowing him well, or getting permission from a higher ranked wolf. Bringing an aggressive wolf into the high pack lands is punishable by attack and expultion.

Always aid the refugees. Never hinder an impaired wolf from his willing recovery. Aiding in the madness of a wolf protected under the pack is punishable in a manner that fits the degree of the crime.

Never harm a pup or youngster. Those found harming young pack members are subjectable to attack by the other members and, depending on the severity, murder by the parents of the pup.

Confirmed Members and rankings:
Alphas: (2)Aion and ???
The alphas act as the core knowledge base of the pack. They are wise and tough, and personally screen those in need of a haven to keep out any hostile riffraff. Also they act as advisors and teachers to the other wolves.

Betas: (2-4, depending on pack size) Petbe, Occam, Equuleus. (Petbe will eventually concede the rank to Equus) (RP Complete for Occam)
The next in the chain of command, though betas are in general younger and probably a little less experienced. They act as peacekeepers, and are the consorts to the alphas as needed. Betas are also charged with leading hunting parties as Aion is aged and not so quick on the chase anymore.

Gammas: Livia
Gammas are charged with the bulk of the necessities of the pack, building new dens, hunting, and pup care. They are calm and smart, but not necessarily as wise as the alphas and betas. They aid the betas in running unwanted characters out and do their part to keep the pack structure stable.

Omega(s) (1-2, depending on pack size)
While the most submissive in the pack, omegas here are not the whipping-wolves. They act largely as pup-sitters, and should not have a mean bone in their body. Because they are charged with helping to raise the next generation, omegas who hurt a pup or act out of line are at a high risk of being chased out of the pack.

Lones (However many Aion will allow at a time. Undetermined.) Ravii

These are the wolves who have either been accepted into the back but only want loose association, or they are refugees learning the more positive things in wolf society.

Miscellaneous info:
Obviously not every wolf coming in for refuge will be on lone lines. This isn't a problem, for those of you who might be curious.

Refuge seekers can be counted as pack members or not, depending on how long/if the player wants her wolf to continue to be a part of the high peaks haven.

<3 If Fierj is able to help Starla out this might be a great place for her to go and recover? And when she gets better she'd probably stay, simply because she'd feel there was no where else for her to go. It still depends on how our next interactin with Starla and Fierj goes, but it goes well I think I'd be perfect. xD

Form for consideration:
Wolf Name: Ravii
Image link: x
Desired Rank : Gamma or Wherever you think she'd work best. :3
Why your wolf fits this rank: She's an experienced mother, very sweet tempered and very kind. She doesn't like controversy and is often a peace keeper amongst others. She's survived on her own since a puppy, and has raised two daughters after her 'mate' abandoned her too. Thankfully though, she's found a new love in Occam and has followed him to (hopefully) be accepted in to this pack.
Why would your wolf fit in with this pack: She's Occam's mate, for one, and I would hope they'd trust his good judgement in bringing her with him. Secondly, she is very kind and generous; she's a sweet heart, when you come right down to it, and would have no problem pulling her own weight and caring for others. Think of her as a big Mom. She's been a lone wolf all her life and, with Occam's help, would like more than anything to be part of his family and this pack.
What would be your wolf's purpose with the pack? Rehabilitation, stable home, etc. : She's a gentle sort, and would be great when it comes to keeping tabs on refugees and offering comfort, kindness and good humor/play. Her patience would make her an asset in dealing with more shy or anxious wolves that seek out the sanctity of the pack.

If you're still looking, I've got an interested wolf puppy ^^

Wolf Name: Tippa

Image link:
User Image
http://i41.photobucket.com/albums/e276/loup-garou_de_la_nuit/Gaia Pets/tippapup.jpg

Desired Rank: Pup, obviously. I’d be happy to have her simply move up to gamma lines. If her personality turns out to be different (either beta or omega), and it’s acceptable to the pack alphas, she could also move to those lines instead.

Why your wolf fits this rank: Well, she’s a pup now xD I haven’t developed her personality, so I’m not entirely sure where she’d go after that.

Why would your wolf fit in with this pack: Her mother was a lone wolf and unable to take care of either Tippa or her two siblings, and they were therefore abandoned at a young age. Presumably they could have been abandoned on the edges of the High Peaks Haven, and Tippa managed to make her way close enough to be found by one of the pack members.

What would be your wolf's purpose with the pack? Rehabilitation, stable home, etc.: She needs a stable, caring home where she can grow up and actually thrive. There shouldn’t be anything wrong with her (i.e. she‘s not crazy, and she‘s generally sweet and a normal healthy pup). She’d be extremely interested in staying with the pack as she matures, to help care for other wolves in need.

Additional noteworthy information: She will most likely deal with small issues concerning abandonment - the feeling that she is not worth the care and attention of the rest of the pack, and a constant worry that they may leave her. This will also drive her to want to help care for others, as a means of making herself feel worth more, however.

Oh! Thanks for the reminder. I would have spaced on that. Need to get all the RPs wrapped up for this in the near future. @_o
