I pull this game out every now and again, because it does have some high replay value. However, after putting over 140 hours into it, I STILL don't have a single character that can do over 10k damage to a single creature. I have four characters on their best incarnations (the male and female mages, and the male and female battlers) and I have mastered a few standard items and one rare item. Currently, I'm on level 94 of one legendary item (the weakest shield in the game, I believe; the one that claims "360 degrees of protection") but it is kicking my a** because the creatures are about 250+." I've yet to acquire all of the map pieces, either, despite the fact I'm on my fourth cycle (although two of those were shortened playthroughs due to specific endings.)

Currently, my highest level character, not including incarnation levels, is 160. :/

Any ideas on how I can mix things up for a fresher, more achievable challenge?

Also, is there a list of the various weapons and armors in the game (for example a list of spears form worst to best, or a list of swords from worst to best?)

how about grinding? its long and hard, but there are some good grinding levels such as one with and EXP bonus in the cave of ordeals.
