[Moire Frost]

Journey sighed happily as she allowed the cool river water to lap gently at her hooves. She had run from the far side of the field to this spot, thirsty and desperate, and had found the river to be clean enough to see the tiny silver fish that flitted about wildly. She drank to her heart's content and decided that she needed a nice rest.

The sun had begun to set, reflecting the bloody gold colors onto the river and surrounding area. Only a few birds and bugs were making noise, bringing the area to life as the sun set. The night would soon be alive, setting the black curtain on the trees and bringing the night animals to life. The moon was already beginning its long journey through the sky, still pale against the red sky, and would soon reflect on the water as well.

Journey closed her eyes as the soothing sound of the water lapping against the shore enveloped her senses. Her breathing became slow and steady, and the wind picked up her mane and tail gently. It was perfect.

Slowly walking through the trees, the sun setting between them, a figure made his way. Chocolate colored stripes broke his form, though as he rustled through the grass and bushes, the animals around knew that he was there. The stallion known as Tohopka, made a long treck to find some water... unfortunately for him... he took the long way. Had someone from his herd informed him before he left, he would not be in such a predicament, not that he minded though... the walk was refreshing, albeit long.

After a few more moments, the tiger like soquili made it to the end of the forest he was walking in. Before fully stepping out of the clearing though, his orange eyes scanned the area. It was in doing this that he noticed something by a stream. His head cocked slightly, slightly curious of to who this might be. But his thirst was more important at the moment. With that, he slowly stepped out from amung the trees and made his way toward the small, moving body of water.

Journey heard hoofbeats not too far off, but paid no heed; they didn't sound stalking or threatening. She'd allow the stranger to drink, maybe even rest. Unless it messed with her.

She slowly peered out to see what had made the noise. A striped stallion... odd colors, no doubt. Not all too common.

"Why, hallo there!" she called out in her dreamy, sing-song voice, rotating her body to face him fully. "No need to be shy... I won't eat you! ... well, no promises.."

As Tohopka ventured closer to the stream and the other, he took notice of the other's wings. They reminded him of the oddly dressed stallion that resided at his teepee, but they had different colored tips. It wasn't a big deal to him really, it was just something he didn't notice before.

He paused for a moment when the other spoke to him, now noting it was a mare. He was unphazed by her eating comment, a blank look on his features as he nodded his greeting and began to walk to the stream again. "Hello there."

Journey quirked her head to the side slightly, allowing her full ditzyness to show. This stallion had piqued her interest; usually, as with her herdmate Will, when she said the Eatchoo line, they were at least startled; the stallion seemed to take no interest.

"Why're you out here, mister?" she asked, her sing-song voice holding a slight tone of intrigue under the ecstatic voice. "It's not often I see 'nother soul 'round here!"

Journey bowed her head down low, touching her nose to the ground and bending her front legs to seem polite. "The name's AF Final Quest, but you can call me Journey. And you are...?"

Now at the stream, he looked to the mare and to the stream. As much as he would like to take a drink of the water, he felt that would be rude to her. With that, he just stopped in front of it and glanced to her. "I'm here for a drink of water, and yourself?" He asked, two-toned tail flicking lightly.

His orange eyes watched her bow her head to him, introducing herself. He returned the gesture with one of his own. "I'm Tohopka."

Journey smiled wide. "Tohopka... pretty name," she said dreamily, swaying slightly in the breeze. She stole a quick glance at his eyes, having had averted them until this point.

"Get a drink then, you silly varmint!" she giggled, side-stepping towards the stream and taking a quick drink herself. "I'm not going to bite... c'mon!" She shook a few drops of water from her mouth and flicked her tail as she waited for the stallion to satisfy his thirst. She didn't care if he was busy; she wanted to find out more about him.

"Thank you." He replied with a simple bow of his head.

When she had told him to get a drink, he simply nodded and stepped to the river. He lowered his head to the stream and began to sip at the cool liquid. Once he got his fill, he brought his head back up and looked to her. "Oh really? This coming from the mare who said that there were no promises of not eating me?"

"You look like you'd be too tough to eat," she said cheerfully, positioning herself so she could watch Tohopka more closely. "Give me indigestion."

Journey winked and proceeded to trot around the stallion, glancing up at the sky and down at her hooves and humming a song that calmed her. She was in a happy mood at the moment; anything could make her giggle like a schoolgirl.

"So is that the only reason you're out here? Getting a drink?" she asked slyly, quickly ducking in front of the stallion to catch his gaze.

"Oh really?" Again, he was nonplussed by her comment, just giving his curly tail a flick. He watched her trot around him idley, ears following her as she hummed. The stallion was a bit curious as to why she was doing this, but said nothing of it. Instead, he just shifted away from the stream, orange eyes glancing to her as she caught his gaze again. "So far, yes. But perhaps a small stroll along the stream would be nice."
