CHAPTER SIX
The huge, misshapen, tortoise stomped the ground angrily, sparks flying out his nostrils.
"WHAT!? What do you mean you don't know where we are, old hag?"
A shaky reply came from a smaller, older, broomstick-riding tortoise, "Well, that's not quite the situation, Your Nastiness. My scouts have reported we are in a land called 'Meh-Hee-Kho'." She left out the part about not knowing where that was in relation to the Mushroom Kingdom they called home.
"Really, now? The large reptile's tone changed suddenly. That sounds like a good place to conquer..."
"You won't be conquering anything on my watch, reptilian fiend!"
A tall man in a blue flight suit leapt out of nowhere, and kneed the spiky-shelled oaf right in the jaw. Bright blue sparks jumped from his kneecap at the point of contact, and spread throughout the tortoise's body, shocking him for massive damage, then sent him flying away, slamming into a nearby building. The man landed gracefully, and shook the lizard-slobber off his gold boot.
He turned to the flying tortoise, and pointed accusingly.
"You, magic woman! Return us to where we belong before my new little buddy shows you his moves."
A loud 'BEEP' could be heard coming from the small, black, 2D creature standing next to her.
"I, uh...I'm getting too old for this..." She fainted, and fell off her broom.
The big tortoise got up and shook his head.
"OW! What’s the big i-...HEY! What did you do to Kammy!?"
He waddled quickly over to the strangers, and tried to slash out at the muscular man, but he dodged it with a backwards flip, then pulled his fist back as he shouted "FALCOOON!".
His whole body lurched forwards with the punch and his arm exploded in fire in the shape of a fierce bird. As this happened, he let out a resounding "PUUUUUNCH!", and the huge, misshapen tortoise headed unwillingly for the horizon.
