She answered the phone with a hiss as she barked, "Division 13, please hold." Slamming the phone down on the reciever and slipping a headset on her curly blonde head she logged into the system.
D....I....S...H..E...S.... she typed, before entering her password and sighing loudly. Picking the line she quickly logged the citizen's quiry and transferred her over to the station's media relations.
"Damn." She growled. She hated monday mornings. Charcteristically she had forgotten her lunch at home while trying to decode her daily crossword on the long commute from a nearby suburb called Sakura Valley.
Realistically it was a gaudy complex of condominums on the outskirts of the metroplis but she could handle the snide comments she traded in her two bedroom penthouse for. How did a shift working, badly dressed, snarky woman like her afford such a wonderful abode? A stone cold dead uncle had left her a small pittance for her trouble, and every penny had been drowned in her echoing pad.
But she would not be curled up in front of her system linked laptop on her lazyboy today. She had to battle the phones, personel, and journalists that came with being the Division's first rate Dragon Lady. No info leaked from her desk, but she wasn't totally against the random bribe. Whoever tried it was a stupid s**t, but she enjoyed a good coffee any morning.

-Handing her a small coffee cup, Enishi smiled down at her- Sooo, finally going to agree to go out on a date with me?" -he smiled watching her get mad over answering the phones- Come on, you get off an hour before I do. Why not?" -he smiled again and leaned against the wall of her little office. Ever since Kira vanished, he hadn't had much of a job and finding luck with the ladies wasn't go his way so why not try the ones at work?-

She scowled up at him while sounding sweet and polite to a captain from 8th division. "Yes sir, I've got guys mooning over me as we speak, wha? HaHaHa...."
She stuck out her tongue at him, snapping her coffee out of his hands before waving him off with a dismissive, "Yes sir, we still have the snarky old Hunter here.....Uhm...." She leaned in her chair and barked, "Cullum's! Jack wants a word!"
A detective waved at her to transfer the call, and doing so she sighed, and sipped her frothy nectar. "Is that supposed to be a pick up line?"

-he nodded slowly- Yea...I read it in a magazine..it should have worked." -he bowed and took a step back- "If that is a no...I will try again in five minutes." -he smiled and turned on his hell to walk over, only to come back five minutes later- "So...dinner? Its the right thing to do."

She wrote very quickly on a sticky note a horribly vile suggestion involving his farming equipment and a blender and stuck it on his forehead. "Begone." The phone rang once more and she picked up the line with a growing face of concern, "Wait- sounds like we have a hostage situation..."

Noctame She wrote very quickly on a sticky note a horribly vile suggestion involving his farming equipment and a blender and stuck it on his forehead. "Begone." The pone rang once more and she picked up the line with a growing face of concern, "Wait- sounds like we have a hostage situation..." -he stopped from walking off and ran back to her- Tell me." -he said bluntly, running over to look at her computer on impulse, not seeing her on the phone-

She entered the streetlevel map viewer and brought up the location. It appeared to be a transit bus on the east end, and as she continued speaking to a panicked observer, her eyes widened with controlled calm. "Three hostages, a tall thin man with a hand gun?....wait- theres a body? Please sir, i need you to speak slower...."

-Enishi took off for his car, picking his phone out of his uniform pocket and dialing a number quickly before putting it to his ear- "Its me, I'm going to check out this, if something odd happens I'll call you back." -he closed the phone and jumped into his car, and cranked it up before calling Tammy back- What do you have on this guy?"

She put him on hold for a moment while she brought up a search engine on her list and started analysing the video feeds from the terminal, and her caller's description. Picking up that line again she muttered,
"He's killed at least one person, is holding a mother and two young children hostage on the number 19 bus route east, he is described as oriental, but not local, 6 foot 2 and thin, my caller says he looks drunk, if thats going to be any help...."
She rhymed off the details she had just heard, prepping a report for dispatch to circulate, "I got a hit Cupid- looks like his name is Mariko Tanaka. Security personel confiscated his car and we've matched his description to his Drivers licence...."

She growled, "I can hear the ranks filing out downstairs and I dont think thats a mad rush for coffee." Her lines lit up, "Look, the phones off the hook, I've got to give something to dispatch." Click.

Vixen hated these uniforms, why wear them? People shouldn't know you're a police officer if you're going to go kick some a** or bust a cap in their asses. She yawned, instead of having her lunch break she had taken a nap instead. Vixen needed some coffee. Her jacket was unbutton so her white t-shirt showed and the sleeves were rolled up, her hair was a mess. She undid her ponytail and fixed it, running her hand over the top of her head to make sure it was smooth. Vixen left her jacket undone and the sleeves rolled up, she sort of liked it, if anyone said anything she would fix it.
She walked down the hall to the lounge. She yawned once more and reached for a paper cup by the coffee machine. Carefully putting the money in the machine and deciding what she wanted she placed the cup underneath the pipe that emptied the desired coffee. The liquid steamed and burned through the paper. "Cheap cups," she mumbled. She finished getting her coffee and went to sit down on the couch. Vixen took sips gingerly, she closed her eyes savoring the taste. "Nothing to do, nothing to do." She was so bored.

-After being dropped off, Watoru left to await in a better place while Enishi ran inside to find the two on his list. After several minues, he stepped onto the elevator and caught sight of Vixen- "HEY, we got to go. It's important." -he said, taking her by the arm and going to find Trammy

Tammy was typing madly into her computer keyboard as her blue eyes scanned alerts, tracing, and surveillance screens sunken into her desktop background. She was scowling when she saw Enishi and barked, "I just had to hear about the shooter on youtube, could you have called me?"
