schools.

Do not bring your book to class! Expeshilly if you start reading when your not supposed to. I was re-reading the Killing Dance cause' I have been hunting for Obsidian Butterfly for ages now, during government, and guess what happens? He thought it was a phone (I was hiding it under my desk). He started reading it to himself. He kept giving me these really wierd looks, because I think he was reading the porn scene, where it turned Richard on, and he got all ashamed because of it. Ha, i'm lucky he didn't call my mother. Actually, I'm lucky he didn't send me to the principals office!

Has anything like this ever happened to you?

I go to an arts school, so I get caught reading these books by my teachers all the time. I've actually gotten a few of them to start reading the series. I did a project on Incubus dreams where I had to write a poem that gave the tone of the book. It was hot...and I won a poetry award. This series is my writing inspiration.

I always read in my classes, usually when a teacher lectured about something or my work was finished. biggrin I had an english teacher try and tell me what I could and couldn't read and act like he was my parent, because I was reading stuff that was cleaner then Anita Blake at the time. Let's just say end result was his a** got in trouble and mine was shifted from his class to another's biggrin Happy teen I was.

Not to mention the worse I got with my books and class was "Get to work" or "Stop reading and work." Sadly, most of the time my books interested me far more then the lesson <<;

A few years ago my theatre teacher picked up my copy of seduced by moonlight and started reading the back. his eyebrow kept raising higher and he started calling out all the interesting words he found. it was a little bit funny if not thouroughly embarrasing.

Most times, they ignore it because I always read in class... have gotten a few interested in the series, though.

Never happened to me, but a friend of mine was yelled at for bringing Incubus Dreams to class. I don't think the teacher even read it, just saw the cover and was offended by it. That teacher was easily offended, methinks. Also, said friend was once yelled at for reading during band when the teacher wasn't speaking to the class. Or was that my other friend? Bah, oh well.

My own teachers generally don't give a s**t if I'm doing something else, so long as there are notes or visibly complete homework on my desk. =3

I brought to school to read anything I wanted, and I didn't have a problem with that. I think the last teacher that actually tried to get me to stop reading in class was Middleschool, the other teachers would just say everyonce in-a-while to put the book away. I once got yelled at for reading a book instead of saying the pledge. rolleyes

Of course, I found it humerous that in our ten minute reading time (beginning of second period everyday), a teacher actually accused me of not reading. I just gave her a look. confused

1. Guilty Pleasures
2. The Laughing Corpse
3. Circus of the Damned
4. Lunatic Café

I don't know...Guilty Pleasures, Narcisus in chains, Incubus Dreams...titles are getting pretty racy there. lol

If you're considered the "virgin Mary" of your class, reading these books at school will get you razzed. Constantly. The guy friend that got me hooked and I both were the "good kids", so people in our class always made fun of us for reading "vampie porn".

lol, I have to say that's never happened to me. I think it's b/c I read all the time in class and still get good grades so they don't give a ********. Though one of my friends (who got interested in the series b/c of me twisted ) had her teacher chuck one of the books (I think Incubus Dreams) out the window. Needless to say he got in trouble for trashing a student's property. rofl

My friends where the jerks about it. I stopped reading at a sex scene, and my friend(s) stole it from me and were reading it. They where like, "Wow Celia, we didn't know you where into stuff like that!" It was embrassing, but not so bad, I kept bringing in the books.
