The little prince of the Pridelands was being a little...adventerous today. He was tired of always being babied, and wanted to prove himself. And today would be that day! He would find something really nice to bring back to his parents, and hopefully they would be proud of him!

So he was out exploring the far-away lands of...the border! He knew better then to get too close to them, though but...how could you tell where they ended? He really wasn't sure but...hopefully he wouldn't get into too much trouble. There wasn't anything scary out here, right?

His butt was sticking up in the air as he investigated a beetle on the ground. It wasn't moving, but it didn't seem to be dead....hmph. That wasn't going to do. He wanted something GOOD. And beetles were everywhere. "What am I going to fiiiind?" he whined outloud, which might not of been the best idea.

Isipho, at the moment, was enjoying an afternoon nap basking under the African sun. Her lips were parted into a lazy smile, her head rested on her paws. The lioness wasn't sure what she wanted to do, really. Stay here? It was rather relaxing here... But Isi still had plenty of years left in her, and something told her, something from deep down in her gut, that she should travel. But... Uggh, she didn't know. Travel? Or stay here? If she was to stay here, she would have to meet with the Mufasa guy, the king of the pride.

Apparently, she had yet to hear of his death.

Oh, great, now she was getting a belly ache. Probably from all this thinking. Groaining slightly, the lioness rolled over onto her back, exposing her light purple underbelly. For a second, Isi thought she heard something. Casually, she dismissed it as a dream.

Simi's ears perked up as he heard the rustling of something up ahead. Eh? What was that? His mind told him to stay put, but his heart pushed him on. Maybe it was something really really cool! The little cub gave out a growl (which was more like a squeak), before he bounded towards the noise, his little tail bobbing behind him like a flag.

The prince quickly didn't find anything. But wait, didn't he hear something? He knew something had to be around here, for Simi was always right! With that thought, he stood for a cheesy pose that no one would ever see before prancing off to the side a bit, hoping that he'd find it. And soon enough, he did.

"Aaack!" was all the brown cub said as he nearly tripped on a huge lion! His little heart beat fast, as it was someone he'd never seen around the pride before. Bad, this is baaad, baaaad bad bad, was all his mind was telling him, his legs freezing up as he stared at the sleeping lion.

Half asleep, Isi kept hearing noises. Rustling, a squeak, a yelp? Startled, the lioness's eyelids quickly fluttered open, her fur bristling. It might have been a hyena or something! She had heard enough about those to be scared of them. Silver eyes darted around, and finally rested on a...cub? Instantly her face broke out in a grin, and she giggled slightly. "Hi!" Isi smiled at the cub, still on her back.

Oh, how she did love cubs. They were so cute and cuddly and fun! Yawning, Isi rolled onto her belly, and stood up. She was rather large for a young lioness, if not by much. "I'm Isi," She continued her greeting, "Well, actually, my name is Isipho, but that sounds funny, so my name is Isi." The multicolored lion nodded along with her words, as if confirming them.

Simi's fear still enveloped him, and he shook at bit. Wait...what? Was she nice? He quickly unlocked his legs and sat down, his little tail wrapped around him as he still shivered a bit, staring at the ground. Father taught them to be nice to everyone, right? So....so should he be nice to someone that might not even live in their pride? He didn't know much about anywhere else in the world, but...he didn't want to be rude, either.

"M-my name is...is Simi." He said shakily, still nervous. His rust-coloured eyes still staring flatly at the ground. He should look up, right? Oh, but he was still a little scared, and a cub's fear was always the strongest things that they felt.

The lioness nodded again, almost lazily. The heat had been making her tired all day. Despite the excitement of meeting someone new- a cub, even, she was finding it difficult to stay awake. "Simi is a nice name." She remarked, kindly. "You certainly look like a Simi." The brown colored cub was something unusual to her, msot of her time had been spent with things less natural, like white and pink cheetahs, and so forth. It was a rather pretty color, she had to admit.

Isi squinted at the cub through silver eyes. Maybe it was sick, or something. "Are you okay, Simi?" Her tone was worried, and she sat down, tense, her paws tucked against herself.

"I..." he started, though he didn't know what to say. His rusty eyes glanced up at the purple-faced lion....ess, since she was certainly female, his eyes matching her silver ones. "Eep!" He adverted his gave back down to his toes, his shaking slowly stopping.

"I was uh..." it wasn't very manly to admit that you were scared, but she seemed ok. "d-didn't think to find a stranger!" He blurted out his words all in a rush, enough so that he hoped she caught them all. "I was just looking for something pretty to take home today, and I think I found a big lion instead." He said his words shyly, though they were coming out stronger. Shyness also seemed like something that was easily breakable in a child, as well.

"Ohhh," Good, he wasn't hurt or anything. She would of had no idea what to do if he had been. It was sortof strange, being called a stranger. She guessed she was, though. Hmm. Isi tilted her head in thought. "Something pretty?" Another one of the lioness's grins plastered itself to her face. "Oh, I know! I could help you look!" Already she was on her feet, shifting her weight from side to side. Something to do! Anything to get rid of this exhausting heat.

Eagerly, she looked at the little cub, happy to have met him. Another check on her friend list, maybe? The thought pepped her up even more, and she was doing all she could not to wiggle.

The little cub peeked another glance up, but it was one with a bit of adoration in it, other then fear or shyness. "Really? You'll help me?" He was a bit shocked that an adult wanted to help him, a silly cub just looking for something nice for his parents. "Do you know of a good place to look?" he asked sheepishly. "I thought that if I looked around the borders, I could find something that isn't easy to find near Pride Rock...."

He bounced himself up out of his sitting position, and curiously stepped over to the dark-coloured female. The sun didn't bother the little cub, but perhaps that was his coat colour, or even his youth. He was just focused on finding that cool something. He was just sure that there would be a fantastic treasure around.

"Sure!" The lioness's grin faltered slightly at his next question. "No... Not really." She shrugged. "There aren't that many pretty things around here, though. I've been here for a bit, and I haven't seen anything that pretty. But maybe we could find a feather or something? I don't know, it's up to you." A feather sounded nice. A shell would be too... Bu those were far, far away, in a place Isi could barely remember. Where all the water was. It went on forever... Her memories were blurred and vague, and she didn't bother mentioning it. All she knew was how far away it was.

The black lioness flicked a fly away from her rump, and looked around. There was nothing pretty that she could see. A tree, a few rocks, bushes...grass.

Simi winced up at the female, the bright light taking a toll on his young eyes from the position that he was at. "Well, a feather sounds nice..." He didn't know how well his parents could share that, but it could work! He just wanted something pretty.

He noticed though that the female kept looking up above. Why? There was no way that he could bring home something biiiig, as big as an elephant, home with him. It had to be small, and fit in his mouth, or something like that. Or else how would he take it home? "Why're you lookin' up so high?" he asked, curious on what she was doing, his head cocked to the side.

The lioness nodded. "We'd just have to find a bird nest, and that shouldn't be too hard!" She sat down again, trying to think. Surely she had seen a bird nest. While feather's weren't exactly the prettiest thing in the world, decent ones weren't difficult to find.

"Huh?" Isi blinked and looked down. Oh, right. "I guess I was just thinking 'bout this place. Don't really remember it, though, so it doesn't matter." She gave a little 'hmmph', and asked, "Is there anything you would want besides a feather? I don't see any nests..."

"I dunno," was his only reply to her question. He popped his head up and looked around, hoping to find something. He soon saw it, and scurried off towards a rock. "Let's look up high though!" he called back, hoping that she would follow him. It really wasn't that far, but to the little cub it sure was!

"Maybe....maybe if you stand on here you can see better." The more talk about a feather, the more he wanted to find one. And if you looked up high, maybe you could see one? If not, they might go digging in the ground or something, right? That might work to find something nice.

"Okay!" Isi loped after the cub, quickly catching up with him. Simi was very smart, thinking to look on a rock like that. Surely they'd be able to spot a feather! "Uhhm, alright. You stay down here, and I'll come down in a sec, and tell you if I see anything." With a little intake of breath, the lioness proceeded to leaping halfway up the boulder, and scrabbling the stone with her claws the rest of the way up.

Using her tail as a balance, she stood precariously on top of the boulder, and looked around. She didn't notice anything, at first. Just grass, more grass, a tree, more grass... And then? A nest! Wedged high between the branches of a tree. There would be feathers there, she knew it! Leaping down neatly, she gabbled, "There a nest way over there," Isi pointed to it with her snout, "You still want feathers, though, right?" Just incase, you never knew.

The brown cub watched in awe as he saw the lioness scamper up the side of the boulder. Wow! She sure was brave! He waited patiently, or as patiently as his little cub mind allowed him too. His mind soon started to wander though, but that was quickly interrupted by the sounds of...success! Yay!

"Where?" He perked up, though she already showed him the way. He started scampering that way without giving her a reply to her question. Though with the way he was moving, it was a bit apparent that he certainly still wanted that feather. And the more the better, in his little mind! "C'mon, let's go!"
