Jealousy was not a rare emotion, not among siblings. If anything, it was one of the first they felt. In Sen's case, it was one of the few so far she remembered most avidly. Happiness, because Ai liked her best she was sure, and he was the best out of them. Frustration, because any attempts to fly had so far been foiled.

And, jealousy, because there were times when people 'oh'ed and 'ah'ed at her stupid brother just because he was some weird color. If anything, he was too different from them. Not something to gawk at. Why was he so special?

It was early morning, the air cool, when Sen stumbled back to her family. Her coat was a complete mess. Somewhere she'd found a lot of yellow-ish, golden-ish flowers, and rolled, rolled, rolled until they were too smashed to roll anymore.

Now she was special, too, right?

Where was that stupid brother of hers? Still asleep, probably.

And that 'stupid brother' was still asleep. Or, he had been.

The boy's golden eyes sleepily opened, little wet spots on the side of his eyes looking like he was still quite tired, regardless. Stretching his paws, he maoned as his back arched in a refreshingly painful stretch, something that he saw his mother do whenever she woke up.

His golden coat looked a little tarnished, as he hadn't had a bath for a day or two, and he didn't mind. He loved his coat, but he didn't like the attention it gave him. Good, or bad. What could he do about it? He gave a little 'harumph!' when he thought about it, and let the grumpiness slide. Whatever. He'd show them all that he could be cool, coat colour aside.

His ears picked up a sound, though, and his mind tossed aside as he wondered what was visiting them. Someone new? Or- oh. His sister, the only one that was his age. He gave a little pouty face before speaking up. "Seeeen. Where didja gooo?"

The cub resisted the urge to cringe. Stupid, stupid brother. Like she had never thought that she was taking the situation too personally, she also never thought it wasn't his fault he was gold. "I went to... recolor my fur," she announced, puffing her chest out, obviously feeling greatly accomplished. "And I did. You're not so special anymore."

The pollen that surrounded her caused her to sneeze. The petals that had latched onto her erupted into the air, falling back down like rain.

Yue slowly looked up and down his sister, trying to understand why she get herself all icky. Mother wasn't going to like that! He made a little gag face as he thought about even licking that himself. Ick! The face didn't fall when she sneezed, though, as the little bits of flower and pollen rained back down on his sister and the ground around her.

"Wai...wha?" He didn't really get what she implied at first, but it slowly dawned on him; his coat colour. Again. He felt like a kid being picked on by bullies. But by his sister? No way would he lose to a girl. "....So? Everyone knows you're white under there." He stuck his tongue out at her in protest.

"Yeah, well..." Sen's expression twisted as if someone had just shoved something incrediablely sour in her mouth. No way she was going to lose! "At least the others know who my parents are. You don't look anything like the rest of us! If you got lost, nobody would know who to bring you back to!"

HA! There! Point Sen!

She was totally winning.

Yue's lower lip wibbled a bit, feeling the sour taste of defeat. That was certainly something that she was one-up on him for, and he didn't really know of a good way to kick the ball back to her. "Uhh....but...but," he started, trying to grasp at anything, "Don't I kind of look like Xu?" He fround a bit, hoping that he'd get something. "And you only look like Dad, anyway." He finished off his retort with a huff. Dad was pure white though, and Xu had a little bit of Mother's markings....even if they were really light.

"Yeah, but I still look like one of them, at least." Her light green eyes gleamed, the look on her face one only someone who had obtained victory earned the right to put on. Unfortunately, she only got to uphold it a few seconds before it fell down. She was frowning as she circled her sibling.

"I don't get why they like you so much," she grumbled, half to herself. Her paws ceased to move when she was back infront of him. Sen sat and shook the rest of the flowery remains off. She'd have to come up with another idea later, else she risk continously sneezing.

"Where are they, anyway?"

Yue sulked where he sat, mad at his sister. She was being stupid, like all girls were, and she wasn't making any sense. His little golden eyes shot a glare at him, hoping that in any moment, their parents would come in, find Sen all dirty, and scold her for it. But they didn't, and he didn't know where their parents were. But he wasn't going to say that, nope. He'd just....make something up! Yeah, that sounded good.

"They went out to uh...get a bath." Yeah, that was a good story, right? Probably not, but he tried. He wanted to give her a kick for being so mean to him, but he knew that once he did that, one of his parents really would come in, and he'd be the one to get in trouble. Maybe words would work better? They seemed easier to cover up, anyway. "And they only like me because I'm good." Another stuck out tonuge. If he kept it up, his face would be stuck that way.

Sen sneered at him. "Of course you're good. If you weren't good, they could just toss you outside and say you didn't belong to us. Everyone would believe it." Truth be told, Sen was convinced, should that event take place, that's exactly what would happen. Yue didn't look enough like them.

Not that she disliked her brother quite that much. Yet.

Well, if her parents were gone anyway, this was the opportune time to take on her lastest planned adventure. "If they're not here, then I'm going."

Well! That just proved that his sister hated him. Fine! That was fine with him. He didn't need his sister, anyway, he had his older sister to care about. He grumped a bit, unable to growl yet with his young throat. "Yeah well, I don't think everyone would believe it." There. He said it. He stuck his tongue out again befor eletting it rest back inside the saftey of his mouth.

"Where're you going? I doubt Mother would like it much if you left without telling heeeer." Well, a Mama's boy, but he seemed more like a tattle-tail then really anything. Maybe that's how he was always 'good'.

"You can just be a perfect little boring cub for her in my place, then, can't you?" Sen huffed and her tail straightened. It was an awkward habbit, something she did when annoyed with someone in specific. She was very, very annoyed with Yue. "Like I'm going to tell you where I'm gong," she added. "It's only for adventurers like me, not boring little goodie-goodies like you."

He pouted as his sister hit a weak spot. Huffing, he opened his mouth to find a retort, but nothing came out. Frusterated, he shut his little jaw again, his gold eyes glaring at his sister. He stamped his paws around, frusterated, until something blurted out. It wasn't a good retort, but it was all he had.

"Yeah well...I could just follow you anyway!" Which was a bit true, but Yue wasn't one to go on huge adventures. He liked staying in his saftey zone, and that was the saves around pride rock.

Spinning back to her brother, Sen marched right up to him and leaned forward. One of her eyes closed, the other abnormally wide and staring him down. It was suppose to be scary, and it was, just probably not in the way she intended.

"If you followed me, you would've left without telling Mom, too, and then you're not going to be so perfect anymore, will you? You just stay here and be boring where you belong." That said, she trotted from the cave, held head high.

She was still winning.

"Nooooo," was his initial protest. His mind quickly worked out a solution to her blunt statement that was full of nothing but the truth. "If I follow you, then I can tell Mother later where you went." The calculations seemed to work in his head, though they might not make the best sense later on, especially if they got caught. But he didn't want to lose, and not to his sister, of all things!

He was doing his best to stand up defiantly to her. A little shakey, but he was still standing.

The cub was surprised. She did a good job of hiding it, her mask revealing nothing more than annoyance for her new little tagalong. It was ironic, really, since usually it was her following someone. But she wasn't annoying like Yue was.

"Fine, but if you get hurt, I don't want to hear you cry," she hissed. Her steps continued at a steady pace, occasionally they would speed up, and not once did she look back to make sure her sibling still trailed behind her. It was his fault if he slowed down enough to get lost, not hers.

Now, where did she went to go? Not that big crack in the ground like she had with Noyana and Chaka. She'd probably get stuck again, and this time, probably wouldn't get back out.

So, where to go, where to go?

--Oho, now, there was an idea.

"I'm going to the Elephant Graveyard," announced the female boldly.
