Damn you people, for all being so lovely and celebrating this party!
..You keep distracting me - whenever I take a quick break from my homework, I jump on here. But then, that quick break morphs into several hours. ninja
So! I have a solution - each time I visit this forum, I must upload a piece of homework. xd
What's in it for you? Those of you who cheer me on, or offer ways to improve my art/homework, each receive my eternal gratitude - and, of course, Gaia gold.
Stay and chat if you will, the more the merrier, and the more homework gets done. (Yus yus, it is cheesy but hey, if it works, you get gaia gold and I don't get many detentions xd )
The Almighty List o' Stuff To Do:
Art:
- 4 a3 pages of Mixed Media
(finish task 6, redo task 4, redo task 1)
Speech:
- memorise Macavity, by T.S Elliot
- a collage for Macavity
English:
- a book cover for The Whale
Science:
- revision + organise notes
Maths:
- exercises
ICT:
- ICT designs for desktop publishing
(booklet, brochure, flyer, poster to promote Techno Joy)
Other:
- work on characters for HaBYT, and memorise lines
- holiday rehearsals for Shakespeare Competition
And... here is what I've done so far:
- Book Cover
- Macavity (speech)
- Macavity Colage (speech)
- task 1 (art)
- task 6 (art)
- all art
Giving Away:
Each cheerer will receive 200 gold.
Each person who offers critique receive 300 gold.
The person who chats the most/keeps me company/most helpful will receive 500 gold.
Not much, but I'm a cheap sod. xp And hey - 200 gold for a post is more than fair. wink

This is actually a great idea. We'd all hate to see you get in trouble for not doing your homework due to the distraction of the guild.
You're very talented by the way!
I love the book cover, it's really cute.
The painting thingies were lovely.
And I agree with you about the contrast thing on task 6.

Wow. You know, you really are good. I've never heard of some of the things you mentioned, so, I wont be able to critique. lol. Ive never heard of Macavity or Mixed Media before. lol. The book cover and everything looks fabulous though. And for Macavity, I love how dramatic you were. 4laugh It was great. What does "witi ihimaera" mean though?
...Man, if my school assigned us work like that, id die from it...But I guess it's true that Americans can be a bit lazy (sometimes). lol. Im terrible. xd I wish you luck on getting all your work done. *Cheers Jen on* lol. O_o

smile My sister called a while ago, she made it to North Carolina alright. The funny thing about it is, that I went to sleep about an hour after I got home from school, and when she called, she woke me up and I thought it was 3AM! I was getting really irritated about it. xd It turns out it was only around 9PM. lol. I felt silly. But yes, now my sister and my nephews are no longer living with me, and it makes me sad. crying And since my mom goes to work around 5PM everyday and doesnt get back till around 12-3AM, Im going to be having the house all to myself again...Which, that starts to suck after a while...You get a bit lonely... eek Oh well, it gives me more time to actually do my homework I guess. I have a bunch to do this weekend as well. lol. Speaking of homework, how's it all coming along? 3nodding

I can empathise with you on the being home alone - we live out in the country, and in the holidays I'm the only one at home as I can't just n** into town. It's Saturday today, but Dad's out at work any way. So yes, you have my sympathy.
Bah.. I haven't got MUCH left to do.. Just a few ICT designs for a booklet, poster and flyer, re-doing an a3 page of the school environment, tweaking another a3 page, some maths exercises, and... some science revision + note organising. The art's going to be the most time consuming, so that's next... I'd say I'm about.. half way through? >_>
What have you got left to do?
