Of all the people you don't want in your subconscience! Anyway, she's set off a trail of ficcing that I'm (probably unjustifiably) proud of. So, erm, here's the link to it. It's been a while since I wandered into the fanfic thread (we really need to find some way to lure more people in here). Anyhoo...
I only read the first chapter, and my initial reaction at the end was 'whoa, you're going to pair up Captain Jack with Peri? Peri?!' Talk about an odd couple! But, yeah, I'm curious to see how they eventually cross paths, and what kind of rapport they'll have.
Even though this was more of an introduction and not much has happened yet, it was an excellent summary of Peri and Jack. I'd forgotten about Peri's interest in botany. Oh, and a nice rationalization for why Nicola Bryant's 'American' accent sounds so weird on the show. whee

Wow! Thanks for reading! Yeah, I start coming up with other rationalizations for Peri's accent in the next story (dear lord, this thing spurred a series) and then for her outfits (I don't even like this character, so for the life of me I can't figure out why I'm appologising for her in multi-chaptered fics. Stupid plot bunnies)
Jack and Peri really do make a perfect couple when you think about it though. They're the two abandonned Americans (it's so bad, I can't write either of them properly).
As to luring people onto this sub-forum (you're right, it's deadeadead in here) maybe a contest or something?

I can't help but like Peri. I think that her and 6th make a good companionship on Doctor Who n 3n Not the "Love" type, but definitly like Father and Daughter, arguing all the time XD
