Oh, man, I KNOW! What a friggin douche bag! scream
I hope Lana kicks him in the coin purse. But we all know she wont. She'll probably look at him like she's hiding something (again) and pretend everything is alright (again).
Lex = Weiner (I love to hate him)

Foetus In Fetu lol - Again: WHAT WAS THE POINT OF THIS STORYLINE? Exactly, I mean it isn't like Lana would have married him because she was pregnant. That was made clear in Promise. I guess it shows Lex's level of deceit but come on, we already knew he was evil.

clueless-in-the-forest this was definately something to give it up for the writers... they had us fooled for months gonk No it wasn't; the reason they had us fooled was because they themselves had no idea where this plot was going. Why was Lex suprised to find out Lana was pregnant? Because the writers decided it'd be cool if Lana was pregnant and wanted to play with the Clexana dramarama llama. dramallama Then they realised they'd started this arc and it had to have a conclusion, so they muddled through, and then decided it never happened and wrote it off as Lex trying to trick Lana into marrying him even though Static established that she loved him (and that he didn't know she was 'pregnant') and Promise established that her pregnancy had no effect on her decision to marry him.

Plus she said that she wanted people to know she is marrying him because she loved him, not because of the baby in Crimson. This was of course before the cheating, but I am less mad at Lana now a days and more frustrated with the writers and what they are doing to my favorite show.

I don't even know where to start on my list of grievances with the writers.
I just look at Smallville, and the premise is so fantastic, and the possibilities are endless, and I just think it could be so awesome and it's just not and it depresses me so much.

I also don't really blame the writers too much because they are really pressured by the public and producers fro more "angst", or whatever. I'd like to think they have good intentions and ideas (cause they've had plenty of amazing episodes), but the pressure to have a lot of drama, sex and intrigue is really intense. stare

zach61092 stare You guys are being to harsh on the writers. I liked the storyline. I liked it to a point. I am all for Lex and Lana having a baby. They just could have made it a lot better or just not have it at all. I mean, it doesn't matter now seeing as there was never a baby at all, would it have done anything to just not write it in.

Anything that comes out of it in terms of plot and character development probably could have been achieved through a different story arc, since I'm pretty much convinced it wasn't planned from the start.
That's why I'm annoyed at the writers. I know it's partly public pressure, but come on - what happened to staying true to your artistic vision?

I'm sure most writers want to stay true to their inner artist... But sometimes it's all about the benjamins. xp

I guess the only thing that the baby contibuted to was when Clark found out about it and refused Lana in Hydro saying,"everything's changed/diffrent now." But come on, they could have had other ways for Clark to feel like Lana would be better off with Lex.
