Yesturday, we noticed my dog was limping a bit. We encouraged him to staying lying down most of the time today. Today while I was at school, my mother noticed my dog was limping a far bit more. Currently, he can walk, but it's kind of difficult, or so it seems. The leg that seems to be causing the problem is the front right one. So far, we tested to see where it hurts by gently pushing/feeling the leg. that's how we determined it was the ankle, cause he whimpered slightly when we pressed down on it. We also compared his two front legs by running our hands a long it. the ankle bone on the inside of the leg he is limping because of seems to be out a tiny, tiny bit more. We're not sure if that is just us being paraniod, it might just be like that normally or if it is actually a factor. My parents say if it doesn't seem to be getting better by next week, we're going to take him to the vet... A little background on my dog: He's a german shepard/lab mix. 6 years old. We think he might have hurt it while getting down of 'his' couch (an old couch we have, and the only furniture he's allowed on.). It's not that high up off the floor. Maybe a bit more than a foot...
Anyway, any of your opinions or advice about what it could be or what to do would be loved... Feel free to ask any questions. I'll try to keep this updated...

Take into consideration his age. It's possibly that this is just an accident that happened to him [Perhaps getting off the couch and hurting himself] but considering his age the leg may not be able to heal fast enough. [Or at all]
