there used to be 2 links where if you put that you heard about it through gaia you got like an extra 40 gold a day it was awhile ago that i saw it i dont know if its still around though

I really don't have any idea, but if you look for items in the marketplace and see how much they cost in the store, then you can sell them for a bit higher than what you can buy them for in the marketplace
I don't do that though XD too lazy to go back and forth all the time XD
