I've noticed that a lot of people who are mainly fans of the anime series "Naruto" belive that they can use ninja arts and such that are completely unrealistic. In fact, most people are influenced so greatly by action based anime, that they believe they are samurai, ninja, other-kin, etc.
Now I am a fan of anime and all that but I'm also a realist. No 150 lb., 16 yr. old male is going to be able to jump 20 ft. into the air, and the come down with the force of a lead brick. It just ain't happenin'.
I'd like to hear opininions on why people get these retarded ideas into thier heads. I'd also like to see qoutes (not from RP's) from any n00bs spotted pulling this crap.

Yes they do. When they're disguised as constructionworkers or Naruto cosplayers. XD
As for the actual question, I think people nowadays either have too much imagination or simpy want to believe this crap.
Some may have started to lose their sense of reality.
I kinda envy some of them, though. Sometimes they're so blind and/or confident that it actually works to their advantage.
I've seen people like these win prizes.
But then I suppose it's not about the prizes. ^^
I think, the real winner is the one that can lose without thinking badly of himself because of it.
But that might just be a loser mentality I've grown to protect my ego. XD

Yeah I guess it dose work sometimes. You have to be sure you're ready to try unrealistic things incase the time arises but I see people in school fight each other and some dork is trying to break a guys arm by bending it the right way. (This actually happened.) I was like OMGWTF?!!?!?!??!
Some guys then told me he was a demon. becasue of my religious beliefs and common sense, I laughed at him and then said something about the Bible. When he said "f*** the Bible", I went ballistic on him.
Anway, anymore opinions?

Kimihiro_Watanuki Yeah I guess it dose work sometimes. You have to be sure you're ready to try unrealistic things incase the time arises but I see people in school fight each other and some dork is trying to break a guys arm by bending it the right way. (This actually happened.) I was like OMGWTF?!!?!?!??! Some guys then told me he was a demon. becasue of my religious beliefs and common sense, I laughed at him and then said something about the Bible. yeah, I knew the illness that is Naruto, would eventually spawn a wave of mindless Ninpo newbs.
Seeming how Kishimoto accurately labelled the arts in Naruto "Taijutsu", maybe the mindless kids will stumble upon some Bujinkan, and learn that the dated style isn't as invincible as they hoped.
Its funny how influential the television has become.

Thunder Foot yeah, I knew the illness that is Naruto, would eventually spawn a wave of mindless Ninpo newbs. Seeming how Kishimoto accurately labelled the arts in Naruto "Taijutsu", maybe the mindless kids will stumble upon some Bujinkan, and learn that the dated style isn't as invincible as they hoped. Its funny how influential the television has become. Ha, Kenshin Himura's Batoujitsu and Sanosuke's punch would be really dangerous too ... sweatdrop Well, with Ken and Ryu in Street Fighters, Karate became the art of fireballs; with Dhalsim 's Yoga, you can levitate, stretch your arms and legs really, really long, and blow fire ; Chun Li's Kung Fu gives you a helicopter style spinning kick ... shouldn't games be more harmful ? mrgreen

You are COMPLETELY illiterate. I said I SAW someone tryign top break someone's arm and bent it the right way instead. It's common sense that it's easier to break a limb by bending it the wrong direction. And in no way, did I get the everloving snot beat out of me.

Its unfortunate that fiction like Naruto can give people the wrong ideas about ninja, making them seem like invincible super-warriors. Truth be told, I believe all arts can have something to contribute to a persons martial arts arsenal, but I will probably never see a boy shoot fire from his mouth ( at least, not without a torch, I've seen that plenty of times) though it would be interesting.
