Bio: Mina is an orphan and isn't as spiteful as may Slytherins. It seems Mina is in the house more by her heritage than making a choice. Little is known about Mina's background before she came to Hogwarts. This is Mina's (and Harry's) 4th year. Her father's name was Alfonso Penuria.
Appearance: Mina has long, golden blond hair and green eyes.

"I'm going to marry Draco!" Pansy Parkinson announced to her girlfriends, which caused Mina to choke on the chocolate frog she was eating. "What's wrong, Mina sweetie?" Pansy said in a disgustingly sweet tone. Mina quickly swigged down some water to clear her throat.

"N-Nothing... I choked that's all..."

"Aww... poor Mina!" Pansy patted her back. "It's not my fault you're not as popular as me. If you weren't so plain, Draco would like you too!" She giggled to her girlfriends about it. It rang in Mina's ears and started to give her a headache. This was the first time she'd shared a carrage with the girls.

NOW I SEE WHY DRACO WONT SHARE A CARRAGE WITH YOU AND YOUR FRIENDS! "I'm going to the toilet..." She told them, blatantly lying. She darted out of the carrage before anyone could question her and into the gangway. Mina passed about three or four carrages (one with a sleeping boy inside, another with two students making-out but she wasn't all that interested since it wasn't anyone she knew) until she reached the one she'd been seeking. "Draco Malfloy! That was no way to treat a friend!" Mina announced, hands on her hips.

"Who said you're my friend." Draco half sneered at her. Ever since she'd joined Slytherin house, Mina had spent nearly all of her time hanging out with the guys. She'd never taken an interest in the girls... until she'd heard that Pansy liked Draco... that had taken her interest.

"I've always hungout with your guys. Plus I'm the smartest person in our group next to Blaise!" Blaise grinned smugly when she said this.

"Are you saying I'm stupid?" Draco said, glaring a little but Mina kept her cool.

"I'm reminding you who does your homework." She put herself in the free seat next to Malfloy. She would of liked to of sat on his lap and given him a peck on the cheek but he didn't know she liked him... unlike Pansy... whom she suspected wouldn't be happier to see Mina humiliated.

"I thought you'd like hanging out with the girls for a change..." Draco said to her.

"Nope. I'm sticking with you guys... the girls gave me a headache... all that laughing and 'which-boy-do-you-like'-ing!" After Mina said that, Draco and the other boys grinned except Grable and Goyle, who wore vaccant expressions.

"Mina..."

"Yes?" Uh-oh...

"What did you tell them?"

"What do you mean?" Mina asked, fully aware of what they meant.

"Who do you like?"

"Do you like Blaise? You just now said he's smart!"

"NO! No... I don't... like anybody... well I mean, not like liking!" They laughed. I might never live this down! I'm just glad Draco never knew it was me who sent him that valentine two years ago! He never even mentioned it... then again, he probably threw it away when he saw it was just a valentine.

Mina quickly chanted a spell. Freezing everyone in the carrage for a few seconds, enough time to push Maya outside and make an excuse.

"What just happened?"

"Someone fell in?"

"I want my mummy!"

Mina sighed. "Guys it was just someone coming in to jinx us..."

"Who was it?!" Malfloy demanded.

"I didn't see but I reversed the jinx so we're all fine now." Mina was glad they'd brought her excuse.

Mina still remembered the first time she came to Hogwarts. She would of been more nervous than she was but Snape had reassured her that, as long as she was in Slytherin house, she would do well. She didn't disagree. Her mother had been in Slytherin house. The hat was put on her head...

I'd prefer to put a brain like yours in Ravenclaw but I see your heart belongs to... "SLYTHERIN HOUSE!" The hat bellowed.

The eleven year old Mina walked over towards the Slytherin table. She went to sit with Malfloy. They'd been introduced by Snape, prior to coming to Hogwarts, so Draco had made sure there was space for her between himself and Goyle. Malfloy grinned his snide grin.

"That tatty, old hat definately knows what's good for it! Putting you in Slytherin."

"I'm glad it did... I would of hated being on my own..."

"Wake up, Mina!" Draco poked her in the arm. "It's time to get off."

"Oh... sorry."

"One of these days, I'll just leave you there!"

"I bet you would!"

Mina tried to dart out of view but the others saw her too. Mina didn't only like Draco Malfloy... she also had a crush on Ronald Weasley.

Luckily, I didn't tell Pansy THAT! It would of been such a riot in the carrage... I am a Slytherin after all!

Ron cast her a slight glare. Mina could understand why, yet, she was hopeful they might still be friends... it's not as if she'd known he had a phobia of spiders... well, she hadn't at the time.

"Mina!" Malfloy’s voice bellowed.

"Coming!" She walked over to the carrages.

"Why do you always look so uncomfortable in these?" Malfloy asked Mina after he'd helped her into the carrage, Grable and Goyle sharing with them, Mina sighed.

"Well you said you couldn't see anything... I keep thinking I must be the only person who does..."

"See what? I've never understood what you're talking about!"

"The horses... they're drawn by horrid looking horses... they're like skeletons with wings... they frighten me. I always think there must be something wrong with me, you know, because I see them and no one else does!"

"There probably is something wrong with you. Just forget about them."

"Thank you so much!" She said sarcastically. "I just wish I knew why!"

Harry shook his head when he saw Ron glare at Mina and he exchanged looks with Maya.

"What?" asked Hermoine, frowning in confusion.

"Nothing." they chorused.

"Whatever," said Ron. "Let's hurry up and get in the carriage. I'm starving, I want to get to the castle."

Maya blinked, "But didn't you just not too long ago eat all of our choc frogs?"

Maya yawned.

"I can't believe this!" muttered Ron, holding up the timetable for the thirteenth time. "Double potions with Slytherins!"

"We heard." said Maya, rolling her eyes.

Hermione shut her books with a loud clap which knocked Ron backwards. "I'm going to bed."

Ron frowned. "Yeah me too, need to get up early,"

Hermione looked hopeful.

"For breakfast!"

She scowled and walked off, leaving them all laughing. A few minutes later Ron turned in as well and Maya read a book while Harry wrote to Sirius.

Soon they were the only ones in the common room.

"What happened in the train?" asked Harry so casually that Maya felt practically happy to tell.

And she did.

Harry listened and then frowned. "She let you go?" he looked puzzled.

"Probably the whole valentines thing."

"Probably."

"Do you get any weird feeling? Like the first year and last year and the second year?"

Harry stared at her. "Kind of." He hadn't told her about his scar yet, or any of them.

"Harry.. You're hiding something." Maya leaned forward, staring at him carefully.

He pulled back automatically.

Maya felt herself go red in the face.

"Harry, calm down, tell me, what happened?"

It was their third year, Harry had just over heard Fudge talking about his Godfather. He'd stormed out and Hermione, Ron and Maya had spread out after him. ((Since there were so many people and Harry was being careful as to not be followed))

"No, Maya, let go of-" he stopped when she suddenly kissed him.

Maya hadn't meant to, he'd pushed her roughly aside, she'd almost fallen down and had grabbed him for support.

They pulled away and stared at each other.

Something changed between them...

"Harry, Maya!" Hermione and Ron came towards them.

"I'm going to bed," said Maya softly, getting up.

"Maya, wait-"

"Goodnight Harry."

Maya met Harry, Ron and Hermione at breakfast the next day, she took her seat and said good morning.

"What did I miss?"

Unfortunately she didn't realize that everyone in the hall was staring directly at her. Or that there were a few dozen more people then last night.

Snape quirked an eyebrow and held his tongue. He'd been itching to say '50 points from Griffindor' all day.

"Why are you-"

"It seems Miss Pearl is a tad late Headmaster, perhaps Miss. Granger would like to explain this mornings events to her." Snape smirked nastily as Maya turned a deep shade of scarlet.

Harry saw Draco laughing out of the corner of his eye. He could see future tormenting for poor Maya.

Hermione pulled Maya down and explained that the Triwizard cup was being held and Durmstrang and another school were competing, after of course Dumbledore finished his speech.

Maya groaned and began hitting her head lightly on the table.

"I bet now you hate the double potions with Slytherins." said Ron as he finally teared his eyes away from Fleur.

Maya didn't say anything. Maybe I could make a potion to make myself disappear, she thought bitterly as they finished their breakfast.

Later:

"Today we will be learning the effects of unicorn hair in different types of healing potions, can anyone-"

Hermione raised her hand, making half the class groan.

Maya just smiled to herself and began working on her notes.

"50 points from Griffindor for interrupting." said Snape.

Ron scowled.

"You," Snape pointed at Maya, making her bolt up like a rocket.

"M-me sir?" She felt herself go pink under his gaze.

"Another 50 points for doodling."

Maya frowned.

Ron had had enough. "She wasn't doodling!" he defended. "She was writing about unicorn hair effects on-" he took a glance at her paper. "On healing potions just like you said!"

"Another 50 points from Griffindor and lest you want to lose more you'll sit down quietly!" he boomed.
