I like the tenth doctor. ^.^ The ninth was to... urhm... outwardly dark for me. Y'know? I haven't seen any of the older series, but the sixth doctor sounds awesome. ^.^ Uhm... Yeah. I'm thinking of cosplaying as the tenth doctor. ^.^

Doctors # 4 and 9 are the only ones I've seen, but I like them both. 9 is my favorite--maybe because he has some sadness under the awesome alien-ness.

I've done research on the first nine to figure out about the series. However of the two that I have seen on Sci-Fi Channel, I would say I like the 10th doc much much better than the ninth.
I agree that he's not outwardly as dark, and he's much funnier.
Outside of that, I haven't purchased the seasons yet, so I can't say which episode I like the best.

I'm going to have to go with the 9th. Although I have not actually seen the seasons with the tenth yet. But judging from clips Id say hes more juvenile. Which isn't bad, but I like the older one xd

Edward Railington I'm going to have to go with the 9th. Although I have not actually seen the seasons with the tenth yet. But judging from clips Id say hes more juvenile. Which isn't bad, but I like the older one xd Actually he's (the 10th) is not really more juvenile ... he's just got a better sense of humor and a better sense of adventure. The 9th was always so serious ... even when you look at his other work, that's the way that that actor is. He's a method actor for serious roles.
The 10th doctor can actually play a range of emotions!

ha ha yeah rastinon I used juvenille for lack of better word. He is more 'happy' I guess? Its hard to describe. And whether or not the 9th is a method actor, his method worked rather well for the part in my opinion. But in any case, as I said, I have not actually seen the 10th in action yet so Im only discussing what I've seen. I shall reserve final judgement for september *grumbles* (I have to wait till FREAKING september for the new season... *grumble* damn bbc america)

The doctor who had curly hair. I think it was the fourth one Tom Baker. I have seen the new series and you are right in saying this doctor is emotional. PM me if you want to talk about the favorite things you like about Dr.Who.

I particularly like the new series. However, the problem that I have is that we (us in the US) get them at least a week after Canada and about a half year after England.
I like the new companion, but am getting a little tired of her questioning why he might have a problem with losing Rose. Other than that, it is good to see her as someone much smarter than Rose!

I every once in a while get to look at the new Doctor. Mostly the show reminds me of the old school with Tom Baker.

From what I understand that's not necessarily a bad thing, since Tom Baker was one of the most beloved Doctors ever. So that should be a hats off to the new series then!
Unfortunately, I started with the new series and never really got into the old ones. I thought at the time (I was young forgive my ignorance) that they looked stupid.
And now they aren't played anymore, so I don't have a basis to compare them with except for between Eccleston and Tennant.
It's ok, I really like the new ones!
