Mhm mhm, was mentioned in another thread (someone posted all the tour locations/dates). I'd go, but I dunno... besides the whole money thing I don't really want to see them in concert without Tarja, even if the new singer's amazing. She's kind of the spark that had me interested in seeing them live.

Oh, sorry.
I dunno, Tarja really wasn't great live... and she wore so much yellow! I HATE yellow!
Hopefully the new singer will be talented and stylish. 3nodding

I liked Tarja's shows before Once, back then she seemed to have more...

Spark in her voice?

If you compare her previously live versions to the recorded ones on the CDs they sound near the same.

After Once they all went... downhill I suppose? They sounded much worse.

Although, after Once a lot more stress came upon Tarja in live shows xp

In my opinion Tarja is very stylish, the clothes she wore on stage were not her choice, I am pretty gosh darn sure.

And I hope to be able to go to the Seattle one.

So you think the first 4 albums were the best? I guess that's what Tuomas meant with 'The lost of Innocence' When the release of Century Child. Personally I think 'Century Child' and 'Once' are the best, why? Because it sounds more aggressive and the songs about lost loves and such are just awesome whee heart

No, not the albums.

Simply Tarja's singing skills, only on stage, after the release of Once. 3nodding

Agreed. I'd love to know what this new singer's like, but it's just not the same without Tarja. I loved that at every single concert, she'd air guitar her brains out. I always thought that was funny. And brave too. Most people would laugh at someone who's doing air guitar and she does it in front of hundreds of thousands of fans.

I agree that she had more spark in her voice earlier on, but one must take into account the transition from symphonic power metal to metal and perhaps from some people's perspectives, even to Goth Metal. I agree, though. At the beginning you could hear the eagerness in her voice, you know? The kind that says "I am so glad I get to do this every day" but lately it's kind of gone to "just another day". Yes, I quite like her style as well. I never did get the same impression when she was on stage and she worse that leather outfit. It just was not the same, and it was really weird, actually.

Nightwish didn't make a transition from a genre, they've always been the same; however, once Century Child came around Tuomas's style did change, but it's still power metal.

I totally agree with you on the eagerness of her voice part, totally true. It's even more weirder when, in Century Child, Tarja's singing style also changed, due to Tuomas. One would think 'Operatic' vocals would be much easier than 'normal' singing, but on the newer shows, as I said, it just, everything seemed gone...

Very true, and I like both of her singing styles; however, on stage...

On stage, as I said above, her singing started to suck.

There, I said.

After the release of Century Child every on stage performance I've seen of her, her singing has been crackly and misses the notes. There.

Really? o.o'

I actually never noticed ... maybe because her throat was sore or something ... she's been singing like that for a while so I wouldn't be surprised 3nodding

Is that the first song in one of their later concerts?

I don't know which songs were played first imprinted in my mind surprised
