Zo Jah'meka panted under the shade of a lone tree. It happened to be the only on in a large visinity, and she was lucky enough to have claimed its shade before another. It was a hot enough day, in any case, and having a black back made her very warm indeed. She wished she was closer to a river, or some water; she could use a small sip or walk in cool mud.

But the sun was high now. Who would go out walking this time of day? To hot, to humid, even to move. The maned wolf flopped over to her back and shook the dirt loose beneith her to get to cooler ground. Dust sifted back down to the ground and she stared tiredly with grey eyes at the birds twitering in the tree above her.

They had it easier, she figured. They could fly directly to water, have the cool breezes fly past them, and they could rest almost anywhere without much worry for other birds territories. She sighed a langthy sigh, but reverted back to her pantings as she felt heat rise in her chest.

"To warm.. to warm.." She mumbled to herself. Her shepherd-like colorings were dusty with the earth she had rolled in, keeping her slightly cooler. She glanced around the horizon absently.
