What is living green? Living green is the use of products that do not waste energy or use a lot of energy to make.

Here's some suggestions to use in your kitchen instead. It's ok if you can't afford them since most of them are fairly cheap and some you can make at home

  • Paperstone counters
  • Recycled Glass Tiles
  • Gas powered oven
  • Cotton-Whool for furnisings
  • Buy in bulk
  • Try to eat lower on the food chain (fruits, vegetables, grains)
  • Grow your own garden (you won't have those nasty pesticides in your system either.)
  • Reuse plastic bags
  • Try to buy products that use very or no packaging
  • Don't let the water run while doing dishes

If you have any more suggestions please tell me. ^^

OK! yeah! clean as you go! Trust me it gets you in checklist mode! when you clean as your moving it automaticly gets you thinking of what you can do to make things easyer! ...its more of a concentration technique...but anything helps!

Living green can be for city life too. Those of us that don't have a backyard or a vast open space to plant a farm can still live green by buying fresh foods from local smaller specialized markets. Buying in bulk isn't always living green. Foods go bad unless canned, jarred, dried, frozen, or cooked. So buy what you will eat and don't let foods spoil.
