just got a text from fawN. she was admitted about 30 minutes ago for premature labor. They're going to try and stop it. She may be on strict bedrest after this. She said they have to wait and see.
I'll keep you posted on any more news from her and Jason.
(i'll change from announcement later ... just wanted to get your attention)

i was out when she texted me but at10Pm she wrote:
I'm dilated some, the contractions are making baby's heart rate drop alog and my amniotic fluid is too low so I'm here overnight. They'll just watch and see.
i'll let her know tomorrow we're all thinking of her *hugs* thanks so much

I am SO happy to hear that mama and baby are doing well. My thoughts and prayers are with them both, she's a tiny littel girl and will need them.

she is tiny, but a friend of mine has a cousin who was that weight at birth, and grew to be 6 ft 2!!
i'm so pleased everything is over now, it was on my mind last night when i went to bed, and during the day today, wondering how they were both getting on and what was happening.
so pleased that Jaz and fawN's Mum were about to keep us all informed heart

She is not in an incubator, but her little crib is equipped with all kinds of tubes and monitors. She is breathing on her own and today they will remove the oxygen tube attached to her nose. They tried to feed her by mouth today, but she spit it up, so they are going to use a nose tube instead. She's also being fed intravenously. Hopefully, she'll be gaining weight soon and be home in a few weeks. FawN is also recovering well. She sat up in bed and began using a breast bump. Her first, 10-minute attempt actually produced a few drops of colostrum. She's to do this at 3-hr intervals. Once there's a little milk, they'll freeze it for her and fly it down to Albuquerque (where Jason and the baby are) for the baby. They will be reunited tomorrow when fawN gets discharged. We are all so very happy!

and in case anyone is wondering, the new baby is Amber Ying-Hui. It mean strong blessing. fawNie is on her way right now to meet her for the first time. i'm so excited!!!! she was 14.5 inches and officially 5 weeks premature.
she's supposed to call me later with more details.
I can't wait to see pics of the baby Amber!

Oh my goodness! I'm so glad they're both doing all right! Whew! I guess little Amber was really eager to come into the world! Please give fawNie my love when you talk to her next time, too, Jazzypoo!
