Serenade had found herself in a clearing, her mind a bit buzzed with excitement. Where was she? She had felt it in her heart to wander, and wander she did. Soon enough, she had lost track of her brother, but she didn't worry too much about it. Besides, perhaps she would run into him again someday. And she would show him just how much of a lady she had grown into. With that thought, she tossed her head, her tri-coloured mane dangling around her in a tangle. Well, crap. She shook herself a bit to get her mane a bit back in place, grudgingly murmuring about how silly such long manes were. She'd never say it, but she did adore her long mane, and always wanted to keep it looking great; but only when others were around. Must look your best, she was always taught!
She trotted away from the trees that she had emerged from, off into the warm sunlight. Her smoke-coloured coat soaked up the heat, relaxing the muscles that the mare had worn out. Her long tail dragged behind her, picking up bits of dead grass and dirt, but the mare didn't pay any attention. Instead she perked her ears up, looking at the world around her. So pretty! She let her mind absorb what she saw, for she wasn't certain if she'd stay here for long, or not.

Somewhere in the tall grass, there was a stallion lying on his side, breathing heavly, but with a smile on his mouth. He had just been playing with his insane sister, who had ran of, while he just collapsed in here from exhaustion.
But no worries, he could just go find her later, she'd probably run for maybe an hour untill she realised she wasn't being chased, then she'd just lay down and wait for him. He sighed, and snorted once, then heard something. He lifted his head, and pulled himself onto his knees, then suddenly appeared from his moments of invisibility in the grass, it wouldn't be high enough to hide the whole thing, but still reached about his shoulder.
He blinked in surprise, seeing a mare not so far off, and taught at least soem manners by his father, the stallion whinnied in greeting, then waited. If the mare wanted to tal, she could just come over.
Right?

The sudden movement from a bit off startled the mare, and she tense her body up as she could only see a brown movement. A predator? A surge of fear flashed through her body, nerves tense. Her breathing grew heavy as her heard beat faster. Dare she take a look? Could she spare that moment?
Well, lucky for her that she did look, or she would of been scared over nothing but another horse nearby, who simply popped it's head up as it heard her. Serenade wasn't very quite, so she should of expected something of the like, right? Well, if not, it was something else that the mare would have to learn through experience.
She snorted at herself for a stupid moment that she pulled, and gave herself a moment to relax. Just breathe, you'll be alright. She was never very good at talking to others, so her nerves got a bit jittery for a different reason then before as she slowly walked up towards the other Soquili. She didn't want to assume the gender, but it seemed fairly bulky, so perhaps a stallion?
"H-hello," she said timidly, her quiet voice nearly lost in the rustling of the grass. "I'm sorry if I woke you from a nap, or something of the like..."

Wait, what had he just done?!
Sunflash grew shy from one moment to another, remembering how bad he was when it came to talking to others. Hs ears folded back for a moment, untill he remembered that often meant he was mad, and perked them up again, looking a bit more friendly.
"Um. Hi.. Its no problem. " He muttered, blinking. "I was just resting a bit, cause I was just running a lot. " His own fur made that more clear, as it was wet and messy, like he'd ran three miles without stopping.
"My name's Sunflash. "

The dark coloured mare looked shocked as she took in his words slowly. "Running? What were you running from?" She peeked around the clearing, though she really couldn't see anything to run from. She noticed a hare, and some birds, but nothing that seemed scary. Her attention turned back to him, where she abruptly saw the white marks of sweat around his neck and shoulders. Well, she knew he wasn't lying about that, but....
"Are you alright, though?" Her words had a twist of concern in them, even for a completely new stranger in a new area. But Serenade only ran herself when she had to, so doing it for fun never crossed her mind. She stomped her forehooves on the ground in anticipation to what he had to say, hoping that it was something silly, instead of scary.

"Oh. I was playing with my sister. I don't think she saw that I stopped. " He said almost meekly. His sister was quite an entertaining mare, and fun to be around, even when she was running each time further. "I have to go find her soon. But she'll be okay. "
Just incase she thought he was an inconsiderate brother! Maybe she might think he was the oldest, too.

"....oh." Well, Serenade had obviously worried about nothing. Stupid girl. She sighed lightly, shaking her tail. Bit of the tail wrapped itself around her legs as she moved the long strands of hair, but the soon slipped to the ground and looked more like a green and white mess then anything.
"Well, at least you're safe? I guess..." she mentioned shyly, feeling a bit of awkwardness in her tone. Whoops, better hide that quick! "Ah, I'm Serenade. My real name is kind of long, ehehe..." she flushed at bit at the thought of it, but she did like her name. It was just an aweful mouthful for everyone. "It's a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Sunflash." She offered him a slight dip in her head, hoping that he would take it respectfully.

He blinked, swishing his long tail and blinking at her. Safe? He suddenly remembered what da said about there being some wolves who were bad.. Why had it just been some? Maybe there were good wolves.
"Um.. Don't call me Mr.! " He sweatdropped. "Everyone just calls me Sun. " He smiled weakly. "What is your whole name? " He asked, curious. It couldn't be that long, could it?

"Er....I'm sorry." She offered him another quick bow before dancing back a bit, giving him a little room just in case he wanted to get up. She wasn't sure if he did, since he did seem kind of tired, but she didn't want to be hovering over him. What if he didn't like that? That wouldn't be too nice of her now, would it?
Her red eyes opened wide a bit when he asked. Oh, they always did that when she said how long her name was! She frowned at herself, for being so stupid to do that again. Someday she would get over it, but not today, obviously. "M-my full name is Serenade to a Starlit Night. It's not hard to remember but," her voice dropped a bit. "Kind of a mouthful, huh?"

"Its a pretty name. " He said, then looked down at himself, blinking when he realised there wasn't much to look down at. No onder she'd looked so.. tall. "Oops-- um, sorry. "
He got up to his feeth, shakking his mane a bit, and looking at the mare, realising she wasn't as huge as he thought. "Well, it may be funny to say it over and over again. " He grinned, because it was long. Wait, wasn't that a mouthfull?! Dear god, he was terrible at conversations.

"Thank you," she said quietly, grinning when he pulled himself up off the ground, little bits of....well, everything stuck to him. The seemed to disappear when he shook off, though, and so she thought about what else to say. What should she do? She was used to her brother talking a lot....well, she could do it! Determined, she stared at Sun....and.....stared at him. What should she say?
"Well, maybe I'll say your name over, too!" She said his name about three times fast, each time getting a bit messier, but she was proud. She flicked her long tail behind her, proud. "There!" ....that whole part of their conversation was useless, wasn't it? But Serenade was enjoying herself.
While she had been staring at him, though, she noticed his strong stripes that glided down his back. "Cool..." she said, not realizing that her mouth was open and she was saying what she was thinking.

He blinked as she repeated his name, and proceeded to try her own. "Serenadetoastarlightnightserenadtuastarlitenitesarainadetuastarlaightnite. " He took a deep breath, as if someone had just squeezed his lungs. That name would choke him next time he tried!
He blinked, and looked around, trying to find the source of the cool, till he decided to try and follow her own eyes to his.. stripes. "Oh.. These? " He turned to the side, so she could look at them better if she wanted. "My mom, and my sisters have them. " He smiled, liking his stripes. his were the only ones that were white.

"Hahaha!" She laughed, thinking it was funny when he tried to copy what she did. She warned him, but did he listen? Nooooo! Of course not. Males were always that way, having to find things out on their own. Silly things. She snorted at herself, and pricked her ears back up over at Sun.
"Yeah, your stripes. They're really neat." They stuck out like a sore...knee?...but they were really different then the runes that drew themselves up her hindleg and flank. "Is that where you got your name from?"

"I dunno. " He shrugged, staring at his stripes as if they had a meaning now. "My mom and dad named me, I dunno why. " He blinked, looking at his stripes once more, then noticing she had something too.
Pacing a bit to the side, he blinked at the mare's runes. "What are those? " they were pretty cool looking. Like.. Sparkly, in a way.

"Eh? ....oh!" The mare's face flushed as he trotted nearly behind her, peering at her own rune markings on her rump. How....how embarassing. She couldn't help but dance a bit, shifting a bit away from his so he wasn't...so close. That sure threw her off!
"T-they're rune markings. Well, I think they're rune markings." She started, studdering through her words. She couldn't remember what they meant, she sure hoped he wouldn't ask! "M-my father has them all over his body....and so I guess I got them from.....from him." She swished her tail a bit to help relax her, the embarrasment slowly escaping her body. "I think....well, I think that's where they got the inspriation for my name. M-maybe."
