The smell of coffee hung heavy in the air, making the skin around the sea goddess' nose wrinkle in disgust. She hated that smell... it made her nose burn, and her fur feel dirty. And that color... it wasn't appealing at all!
She frowned down at a pond of dark coffee in front of her. She didn't want to get her feet dirty... So around she would go. With a grumble she started to trot, stepping on the drier bits of earth to keep from ruining her perfect legs.
Why was she bravely venturing into the coffee swamps...? Well... It was a secret, and she probably wouldn't have admitted to it... But she wanted to see that wonderfully unique undead Numa... He was becoming one of the rare few that she actually enjoyed the company of... So, she would risk a bit of coffee to see him.

it was far brighter then anything this beast from the swamps was used to, used to the darker depths, where very little light, if any broke though the thick bean trees at all.
keeping his eyes half closed protecting them from the light he was still slowly growing used to.
though most definitely a Coffee, he was abnormally huge compared to the average Numa, solid black, makeing so that he would be extreamly hard to spot against a dark background, if of cource it was not for the glowing designs all over his body.
his claws thudding dully against the most ground, he paused, falling large ears forward and narrowing his eyes even further.
he had heard that allot of very strange things were happening in the territorials towards the edge of the Swamp. the rumors he heard where outrageous, but he found looking into it worth his time... not like he did much else anyway.
so far however, the edges seemed to be a total let down. that was, of cource, until he saw something... very... very different.
she was like no other Numa he had met before. she sure didn't look like a Coffee? but what else could she be? gleaming eyes narrowed even more. he slipped behind a Licorice bush, lowering himself close to the ground, and just watching.. waiting patiently as she got closer and closer

The red female continued on her quest, looking around slowly for any sign of life.. Or rather, unlife. She managed to zig zag through the swamp and trees while keeping her graceful appearance, the fish at work like always. Her wings and fins flowed and whisped around her, making it seem like she was underwater, gravity having no hold on her.
She grumbled to herself softly.. If only she could fly.. Then she could just glide over this mess and find Jedrek easily! She wouldn't have to degrade herself like this...
And then, of course, came a loud squishing noise as she stepped into a puddle of coffee soaked ground. Her fur stood on end for a moment, body tense as she pulled the paw from the mud, it dripping with stinking, gooiy old coffee.
"Oh... Ew!" She hissed and tried to flick the mud off, whimpering softly. "This was a HORRIBLE idea!"

"thats exactly what I was thinking" the masculine voice said, a swirl playing across his lips. stepping forward to brush his face last the bush to see her better, and to let her see him.
"what was of cource until I saw you wandering around"
the large Coffee strode from his hiding place, perching upon the top of the small slope and staring intently down at her.
"but what was you're horrible idea?" he asked.

Calypso jumped in fright, fumbling and accidently stepping into the same puddle again.. with the other foot. She blinked down and growled, then looked up at him..
She suddenly felt very... small. She wasn't neccesarily below average size for a Numa, but she wasn't big... With the slopping hill making him even higher over her, she frowned slightly and stepped back. Not in fear... But caution. Though... The glowing markings on him did seem intriging.
"It's none of your business what my idea is..." She purred softly, head lowering as she looked him up and down. "And even if it was your business.. It's a secret."

"awww" he sighed slightly sarcastically, though his expressions still holding his interested smirk "well if you have that attitude, then my idea might as well be horrible again"
glow stick around his neck swaying as he quickly started down towards her. pushing himself to a stop and sitting down. eyebrow raised and eyebrows half closed in a appeasing manor
"well, at least want to tell me what kind of Coffee Numa you are?"

Her chin raised slowly as he came towards her, mouth falling slightly open when he was next to her. He was even bigger than she thought... His size only added to his abnormality, which she quite enjoyed. But he was still rather intimidating.
She smirked up at him, eyes falling half-closed idily. "And what is your idea...? Unless it's a secret as well." She paused, then shook her head with a chuckle. "I'm not a coffee... I'm.. well, I'm not sure I'm a candy either. I'm just... Me. Calypso."

"not a Coffee?" he raised both eyebrows, perplexed by this concept. "a Candy?" he let out a laugh "ahh I've been down in the swamps depths for far to long. and this is exactly why I had my Idea" he reached one of his claws up, grasping into the glow stick around his neck, and moveing it between his fingers out of habit.
"I heard that strange things happened up here. came to check myself" eyes still adjusting to the light, he tilted his head down, shading them further.
"Calypso eh?" he grinned, large healthy tusks gleaming based under his lips.
"you're the first I meet here. I'm Equis"

"Strange things...?" She glanced around with a bit of a frown. Was she in danger...? She cleared her throat then glanced back to him.
"The first, hmm? No wonder you thought I was a coffee... What strange things have you heard about..?" She asked curiously, voice soft and silky as she tried to persuade him. "A true pleasure to meet you.. Equis."

"well news spread about how the great Coffee Witch has punished two of her own. rumors about undeads wandering the swamps, and apparently another world so different from our home Swamp, that is caused other to rise in an atemps to destroy it" he lout out a very loud bark of laugher. raising his claws and swiping it enthusiastically at the ground, and effortlessly tears a chunk out of it. "now thats the kind of thing I'm talking about! betting then sitting in the dark, thats so sure."

Her eyes widdened slightly, the glowing eyes brightening her face for a moment before the lids lowered again. "The Coffee Witch, eh? I have heard of her..." She looked down at the glow stick in his hand, watching it move as he shifted it between his hands. "Who is trying to destroy your swamp...?"
The fish, attracted to the glowiness, swam out from under her wings to swirl around the glow stick, staring at it fondly.

he blinked, watching the Fish with amusment. enjoying the soft glowing of there body's. "destroy the swamp? oh no no no" he laughed at this thought, "I mean this other world some Swamp residence plotted on it. but from what i heard they were put out of commission."
he lifted a claw up, looking back at the fish, swaying his fingers to her closer to them "what charming creatures. are they yours?"

"Ah, I see..." She nodded a bit and watched the fish swim closer to him, the light seeming to drawl their's closer. She smirked widely, ears flattening against her head, chin lifting to make her neck seem longer. "Why yes, they are... Do you like them? They seem to enjoy you..."
Her tail flicked back and forth, wings fluttering softly as her voice purred.

he pulled his attention away from the fish, to grin down at her, eyelids drooping again.
"why yes" he said, lowering his paw back down, and pulling to his feet, walking closer to her, having to lean down to stare into her glowing eyes, the line across his eyes gleaming especially bright from his distance.
"I have to say, I'm drawn to anything that glows," he inclined his head upward
"you're eyes are not exception, they are quite intrancing"
letting out a breath through his nose, he sat back getting out of her face.

She smirked widely, staring up at him with half lidded eyes. Her nose tilted down and she batted her eye lashes at him slowly. "Oh..? Well, that tends to happen often... You don't mind though, do you?" She arched an eyebrow, tilting her head towards him, her ears tilted back still. She grinned wider and raised a small paw, almost half the size of his, and batted at the string of his glowstick. "I have to admit, unique gentleman such as yourself intance me.. in a way."
