Wide, curious azure hues scanned the surrounding area with an innocent inquisitiveness, bright blue tail flicking idly back and forth. The young colt was rarely seen outside of his father or mother's care, but he enjoyed the freedom of being on his own for once... even if he wasn't supposed to be. He had left the safety of his father's side to go exploring... it couldn't possibly be as dangerous as he had been led to believe, could it?
Nahuel refused to think about it more than he had to, and stubbornly continued on his way, grinning at everything and nothing as he passed.

Del'nal was getting quite good at this sneaking away from her parents thing. Being around her parents and brother all the time really got on her nerves. Besides exploring the huge area seemed like more fun and was much worth the risk of getting into trouble. She took a couple of leaps as she walked with her wings stretched out hoping to maybe stay in the air but once more it failed to work.
'Darn wings why won't you work?' She asked in frustration as she glared at them. 'You should be big enough to get me up in the air. But no you just don't wanna work.' Talking out loud to herself is something she always ends up doing when she's out by herself nor does she really pay attention to who may be about when she talks with herself.

The ebon' and cerulean colored foal stopped abruptly at the sound of a voice cutting through the darkness, eyes wide as saucers, and ears perked to stark attention as he gazed towards the disturbance. Although he probably should have been worried, as any soquili with common sense would be, Nahuel was blissfully ignorant of any potential danger, trotting happily towards the source of the sound.
"Hello?" he called out, tilting his head curiously at the comment about the wings. "Who's there?"

Del had just finished getting her wings pulled back into her side when she thought she heard another voice calling out. 'I'm here!' she called out happily not caring who the voice belonged to. 'Are you there?' she asked as she started walking towards where she had heard the voice come from.

Breaking into a large grin that was characteristic of his father, the long-legged foal broke into a clumsy run towards the feminine voice, ears forward as cerulean hues looked eagerly for the other soquili. He had no idea who it was- or even what it was, for that matter- but he was a colt, and he was too excited about the prospect of company to care about the danger.
Skidding to an abrupt halt before a winged filly, Nahuel tilted his head slightly in confusion as he eyed her wings. He'd seen an adult soquili with wings, but never a foal like himself... did that mean they were born with them? If so, there went his idea to find wings for himself...
"Hi!" he greeted her happily, tail wagging back and forth like a dog's as he smiled at her. "I'm Nahuel. What's your name?"
