A quaint, pleasant little place, Greg's is locally owned, as one might guess, by Greg. Greg Pliskin himself serves people at the bar that spans across one end of the place, mopping up the counter with a wet rag as he slides people thir food.

The three figures Gabriel, Jester and Edd walked up to and, presumably walked into Greg's. Edd yelled over to Greg, who was wiping down the counter.
"Oi, Greg, I need three a' your best philly cheeses. You can take it off a your tab."
Edd said this last bit slightly more inflected. He walked over and sat down in a booth in the back, and yelled once more.
"'N let's get some loud Jazz music goin', shall we?"
Edd reclined, and put his arms behind his head.
Greg, of course, did as Edd said. After all, he owed a large amount of money from drugs to Edd, and didn't want him to start throwing an old man around. He mumbled something about his eye and Nam as he hit the music, and started on the sandwiches.

A man sat quietly on one of the stools near the wall of the place, silently tearing into a sandwich of such ridiculous proportions that one might swear he had asked Greg to put two sandwiches together. Maybe he had.
He set the sandwich down, one hand carefully adjusting the set of the great big aviation goggles on his cap before it dropped down to pick up a glass - his eyes half closed with enjoyment, the curious fellow siped of his favorite drink eagerly. He paused, eyes following a group of people as they entered the place, rather noisily and obviously as friends or associates of the owner.

Cool, maybe they knew how to dance.

Gabriel made an utterance of protest at Edd's purchase of the sandwiches, and started for his wallet, but decided it was best to let it be. He sat down, and listened to what the crazy old man, Greg, said about 'Nam, which was funny, since nobody that was in 'Nam was still alive, or at least coherent. The music the old fart put on was interesting, but decidedly the wrong grain for Gabriel's taste.

((Arcus gains bonus points for noting craziness.

And now we wait for Josh.))

((Oh, wait. His character's silly. Never mind.))

Edd leaned in to talk to Arcus, and then he noticed the figure sitting there. He leaned back again, and began yelling at the top of his lungs.

"OI! URU! You wanna come join us? Yer' Invited, as long as you don't unstrap that god-damn thing!"

Edd looked at Arcus.

"Old friend 'e mine. Hope ye don't mind us talkin' with him, before we get down to a bit o' business."

Uru grinned. The old b*****d had caught on after all. With a shrug, he lifted himself off of the stool, and headed for their booth. As he passed by the counter before headign for the back, Hiru shouted over the music at Greg.

"That'll be another two sandwiches together, and a barrel mug of Coke."

He sat down next to Edd, slouching comfortably, a clank and a metallic scream accenting the shifting of the weight on his back across the seating. He looked Gabriel over with a good deal of disinterest, and then turned to Edd.

"You're paying for that, Edd. And I mean really paying for it, not scaring the old man into it. As an alternative, you can dance."

"I'm not gonna have you ******** shoot me again, and he owes me the money man. So just sit and chill."
Edd sat up and talked to Arcus in a voice just begging for sympathy.
"I mean, I didn't even pull my gun out."
Edd laughed then, as Greg brought them the sandwiches, all five of them, one inside another. And damn, would they be good sandwiches. He also handed out cokes all around, and said something about clearing his debt. Edd nodded, and quickly shook his hand. After Greg mumbled off about WWZ, he asked Uru How he had been doing lately, and took a huge bite of sandwich.

Jester walked in a little while after the other two, only to find a sandwich already waiting for him. And of course being the urchin that he was he began eating without a second thought.

"Oh, you know, just here on some paid internship business with the, ah, company again."

Uru appeared to eat his double sandwhich based on the theory that it was in fact, not a double snadwhich, or even half of one. How a human being should fit such a preposterous mass of food in their mouth was an almost fascinating prospect - people across the country had gathered at remote little run down restaurants when word got around town of how Uru ate. It was...well, it defied everything humans thought limited the process of degustation.

"The whole limitless bottles of Coke provision in their contract is a bit of a clincher."

Uru toped off the incredible chunk fo sandwhich already being chewed industiuosly with a chug from his glass, his almost pathological attachement to Coke making a delicious sandwich hearbreakingly good.

Edd nodded towards Jester as he walked in and began devouring. Edd seemed unphased by Uru's method of eating; he had seen it all before. He arched his brow, and stopped eating the delicious sandwich long enough to speak.
"What company izzat, Uru?"
PostPosted: Thu Jun 21, 2007 9:53 am

"You know the place - I showed you when I found the ad. The crazy bastards, yeah?"

Uru chowed down like a steam engine, tearing chunks off of the double sandwich and washign them away with Coke. He chattered jovialy, a surprisingly youthful tone for some carrying sucha thing straped to their back. Then again, he himself looked rather young for the part - pale, as-yet little-scarred skin, a rosy complexion and a habit for rather gawdy decorum despite plain clothes all marked him for a college student, or perhaps a just barely graduate.

Gabriel wondered how the man, greg, new about the undercity's plan for WWZ. He dismissed as so much craziness, and set about his sandwich. During the course that was the symphony of ********, he wondered how these four strangers came to be in a strange place all at the same time. He was becoming more and more amused as time passed, but as mention of a gun came about, he felt for some of the weapons hidden about his person, the steel sinew that was his person creaking the slighteset as he did so. His trained eyes casually flicked across each of his companions, checking them out for any noticable weaponry. He didn't note anything on either of the two he had come with, but the newcomer had something strapped to his back, and the angle he was sitting at obscured it beyond recognition for Gabriel. He cleared his throat loudly after finishing the sandwich, which he accomplished without breathing, or so it would appear.

"******** seemed to smiley for me."
Edd finished his delicious sandwich, and then looked at Uru.
"Hey man, we got a car to drive. I'll see ye around in like, tomorrow, alright? I mean, no offense, but you're workin for a corp now, and ye could be wired wi'out even knowing it."
Edd slowly stood up, and waited for his companions to follow.

Jester who until this point was focused completely on the sandwich that he had been eating noticed an ever so quiet creaking coming from one of his companions who seemed to be looking for something on his person. He knew that creaking, he had been to the Undercity enough times to remember it. Gabriel was one of them. Jester didn't much like them, but this one seemed nice enough so far, he would give him a chance. All the same though, he opened his canvas messenger bag and ever so stealthily and quickly he slid a short lead pipe into the sleeve of his hoodie. Only some sort of enhanced vision could have caught him in the act. And then he grabbed a wallet that he had stolen out of some poor businessmans back pocket, pulled it out of the bag, and emptied all of the money out of it. More than enough for his sandwich, much more. He left it on the counter, put the wallet back in the bag and closed it. As he did this he saw Edd get up so he followed suit, making sure to keep the pipe from falling out of his sleeve.
