It was not a particularly unusual day. Okay, so it was a tad bit chilly. At least the sun was shining. But other than the cold breeze blowing by every now and then, all was perfectly normal.
Well, all that was normally normal. TC was leaning against the wall of the Velvet shop, her tail wrapped around her waist and laying perfectly still upon the big rock upon which she sat. One giant white paw bounced at a slow, steady rhythm and her eyes were focussed on a book which she was trying desperately to read from it's place on the grass. In her hand was a black violin, one hand outstretched, bent at the elbow and holding it at the neck, the other hand plucking at it like a guitar. She frowned every few notes, noticing the strange pluck of failure. Hey, at least it wasn't loud an obnoxious, or even noticable really without it's bow.
While she worked so hard on this feat she was trying to accomplish, one might notice much easier the young clouded leopard running in a giant circle. Again, she had the harnass on. Again, she was attached to a leash. But it was one of those long, running leashes attached to a metal pole near TC's giant foot. Khad could run a bit, at least... but it still wasn't the freedom she desired. She ran back and forth, stretching to the end of her chain and stopping before it snapped her back. She had learned the boundaries, and there was a small dirt path wearing in a circle on the grass. Mnm, paranoid ol' TC wasn't about to let Khad go running off... again.

There was a vaguly family orange and black figure clocked in purple with her ebony hair flowed down her back billowing now and then in the breeze. Willow was apporching and with amazing speed for a biped like her. Her tail flickers as she yawned, "Ya know I don't know what you think that's going to stop." She muttered as she apporched Khad and easily slipped the clip from Khad's leash bending down ot hugh her friend being nonconspicious as possible.
"Haha TC!" LP had followed Willow slightly reluctant. Humming she nodded. "Nice violin although why you're trying to play it like a guitar is beyond me."

Lusiphur peeked curiously from the overhang of the shoppe's roof, haing hidden there for most of the day because he had wanted to be near the shoppe - a chance see the others without drawing too much attention to himself - and without his owner. She was only a little ways down the street, picking up some ice cream from one of the other shoppes for the both of them...he was a child now, and she was trusting him more to understand...they were...using words now to communicate...
...but just yet he was unsure if he wanted to come out and greet these others...instead he simply climbed down the wall a little more, to the point where he might almost be noticed, but may still crawl back if any of them decided to strike at him for being a ...well. An enormous spider!

Khadira smiled big, leaping up on Willow as would a dog and offering a flicker of her.... extremely long tail. A flicker of such a massive thing would only lead to her whole lower body toppling over- her balance skills still weren't perfectly developed. But as she fell, she noticed she fell out of the boundaries of her leash and stared at it as it laid on the ground. Her pupils widened and an adorable little fangy grin crossed her muzzle as she crouched down and scooched along- trying not to draw attention to herself.
Ah, but TC was preoccupied for the moment. Having lost count of what beat she was on with the arrival of her friends, she moaned and dropped the lightweight black thing into her lap. "You have to begin somewhere." She growled out, more growling at herself than at LP, but still speaking to said other. "Have to learn the notes before you can use the bow." she stared at her fingers, which were creased with small, red lines now. Yes, she definately needed to get some calluses. Soon, they'd come. With this she dragged a small red-lined case out and set her precious new violin in it, kneeling, closing, and zipping it shut all in one move.
Khadira, by now, had found her way behind the rock and over to the building. She was hiding behind a bush, her body pressed against the very wall from which Luce hung. At first, she didn't notice him as a spider. She turned, rather, and hushed him- having caught him from the corner of her eyes. Then, she did a double take, stared at him, and let out a high-pitched yowl, reaching out form the bushes and climbing- full-clawed- up TC's pant leg. TC let out a screech as well, her own pupils widening. "KHAD!! OUCH! LET GO! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?!"

Willow giggled. "Of crouse you have to." Her tail flickered watching Khad as her friend ran around.
She blinked looking at Khad moving towards where the couldy leopard had been. Her tail flickered looking around. She didn't see nothing. "Khad there's nothing here to be scare of...."
LP chuckled, "Yeah but that's an awful way of learning you need a pick." She nodded watching Willow and Khad.... wait Khad.... she watched the leopard run and try to climb TC's pant leg. "Woahhhhh Leopardy. You'll hit a major vein.

Well that was the least bit surprising! He wondered, after that, if it was indeed safe to come out - to reveal himself...in some way perhaps, he owed it to this woman to apologize? To tell her that it had been hewho had scared the kitten and forced the claw?
Well, if that were the case, he'd lower himself down the wall a bit more, and reach up to brush his hair back a bit before clearing his throat. "I...apologize. Perhaps it was I who frightened the kitten? I did not realize that she might be scared of...me."

Khadira kept trying to climb up TC's legs, causing small dibbles of blood to leak down her leg under her black pants. She cringed in pain, finally leaning down and grabbing the small one by the scruff of the neck. "Khad!" She sighed, finally settling her down and pulling her close. "What are you freaking out about and how did you get off your...." her train of thought was (lucky for Willow) interupted by the spider-child and his words. She tilted her head to the side, then looked at Khad, then to Luce, then to Khad, then to Luce, then to Khad, then to... well, you get the picture. With a smile that crept up her face with each turn of her pupils, she eventually lost it in a huge mass of laughter. "KHAD YOU'RE AFRAID OF SPIDERS?" She laughed. The small kitten had never been afraid of anything. She had always taken everything in stride. Curiously, she had walked up to even the most dangerous of situations and poked at it with a stick. TC had had to save her bum many times... even when it wasn't dangerous. That was one reason for that leash. The other was TC's absolute fear of the world in general these days. But to see the kitten who feared nothinig suddenly freak out like that? It was priceless. Turning to the spider, she smiled. "Don't worry, dear." She wasn't at all afraid of spiders. As terrified as she was of the world, she adored spiders. Perhaps her and Khad were exact opposites? Who knew. "It's not your fault Khadira's a big wuss."
Well, look whose calling the kettle black. Khadira clinged to TC's pantleg, not digging in with her claws this time, and peered around at Luce with a shiver and wide eyes.

Willow on the other hand looked at the child with eyes that widened and seemed instead of scared to admire his body. This, he was almost as capitivating a Nayati; much younger but still.
"Nay." She finally spoke in her soft mystical tone back no longer caring about anything else. "Khad's not that big o' a wuss. You know it." Okay so it'd been a while since she seen TC and Khad but she knew for a fact Khad wasn't as scare of the world as TC had been.
Her tail flickered eyes still on Luse. "And, Whom may this strapping young Funnel Spider be?"
LP blinked, she backed up for a second before grinning. "Ah haha Khadders, you don't need to be scare of him. He's another velvet I doubt he'd hurt others, none of the others had..... welll there was an incidnet I heard about but that's just soemthing between those two."

Lusiphur nodded cordially to TC, accepting her words as truth. Well, truth enough for him to say the least! After all, it wasn't to say that the young leopard was necessary scared witless - perhaps he had just surprised the thing and it had been a bit of a fright for her? She could theoretically still learn to be his...well. Not his enemy, hopefully, but Lusiphur was unsure that he wanted to consider her a friend just yet, he was always careful with his relationships...
"I hope she does not think me a threat."
Glancing up at Willow he blinked, outer eyes first and middle eye last..."My name is Lusiphur. And no, I would not hurt another Velvet without provocation." Well there was the warning lable, loud and clear for everyone to read...after all one couldn't expect him to just lie down and take it if another one attacked him first!

"Ah, don't worry. She'll get over it." She chuckled out, grabbing Khad and pushing her towards the spider-child. "See Khad? Nothing to be worried about..." She kept pushing her in his direction, but she was not budging much. Maybe an inch every few seconds. Her claws were dug into the dirt and she was struggling with all the energy in her to keep away. All the energy in her, by the way, was a lot. With a frown, TC let go, and Khadira- still struggling against nothing- toppled onto her back on the earth, leapt up as fast as she could, and ran over to Willow. Peering up at the tiger, she offered big, sparkly, pleady eyes, her tail pulled low to the earth and her energy seen in nothing but her shaking body for once. Khad was absolutely terrified. It was quite funny, really. TC was, for once, being the exact opposite. "Come on Khad, you've seen worse at the zoo!" She muttered, flailing her arms out to the side-- but stopping herself and looking at Luce again. "No offense. Sorry." She apologized.

Willow smiled watching Luse. When Khad had ran over to her she simply smiled. The poor Leopard; she took her paw and ruffled Khad's fur. Looking back towards Luse she sniggered. "Nay she'll warm up to you. I'm sure she's just shy of things with more legs than we're use to." Her tail flickered softly as she looked to luse and back to Khad.
"Aw come'on Khadders; He's as friendly as a fish is to water." She grinned. Nothing really bothered her, she knew enough about Luses kind as not to irriated him. "Yeah, there shouldn't be any provocation. Slightly consideirng you could kill someone, if you're posion is devolped enough." Her tail flickered, pausing.
"Rosey, that's not how I ment it and you know it." Her eyes narrowed and her head snapped towards the ghost.
LP lofted a brow. "Hmm.... Well atleast no spiders live in my celler or cave as large as you...." She said towards luse aiming at a compliment. "Otherwise I might find myself sleeping outside, because they wouldn't be velveteen if there were."
Her eyes narrowed towards Willow and her Ghost. What was this about that's not how I ment it..... She seemed slightly wary about this.

'Worse at the zoo'? Lusiphur was much less annoyed or offended than he was honestly fascinated by what the woman said. He had never been to a zoo after all - he had glimpsed other animals in the many movies, comics and books he had been exposed to, but he had always been curious about seeing them up close and personal. "No apology necessary, miss...we cannot all be fearless, all the time," he noted politely.
Of course, however, Lusiphur could not see the ghost...and tilted his head curiously when, from his point of view, Willow began speaking to nothingness. He had heard of psychotic people before, and how they often saw things that weren't there, or spoke with people who didn't exist, but as always his experience was what he had seen...and filmmakers loved their special effects. Even audiences got to see the ghosts. "And you are, miss?" It was only fair that he learn her name as well, or so he thought. Those large eyes took to LP, though, as Lusiphur smiled simply, keeping his fangs well behind his lips.
"But spiders really don't care, you see. If you see well enough to leave them alone, they will leave you alone...although, it might not always appear that way," he noted with a bit of a pucker to his lips. It wasn't uncommon, the person who had gone to bed perfectly asleep and woken up with a spiderbite.
(( Continuing later sounds good to me. I might be home a little 'late' though...yay for my turn to work the 6 shift. e.e ))

TC knew about the 'spiderbite' incident quite well. Or, rather, she thought she did. There had been many a mornings she'd woken up with large welts in her legs or arms. Where else could they have come from but spiders? What, with living in a cave in the middle of the wilderness, what else was there to expect? Besides, what else could it be? It's not like TC had ever randomly waken up in the middle of the night and brushed herself against several sharp objects or bushes of anything of the sort and then crawled back into bed...
Khadira, too, gazed strangely at Willow as she spoke to the ghost. She had seen her friend do similar things before. She had heard of the 'ghosts' and such. But Khadira was too happy-go-lucky to think about death or the afterlife or any such things. It was hard for such a optimistic individual to grasp the concepts of 'ghosts'. Ah, but spiders were a concept she grasped well. Spiders = eight legs, lots of eyes, and fangs. It was frightening really. Such a tiny thing could cause her so much grief. At this thought, she scrambled further up Willow and whined, pulling her long tail tightly around her eyes.. but then loosening it up and peering halfway over the top of it. Sort of like a little kid at the movies covering his eyes and peering through split fingers. It was adorable, really.
TC sighed softly, one clawed paw resting on her hip and the other draped lazily to the side. "That's one silly little kit I've got there."

LP shurged, "True but still. Giant spiders, besides the ones that talk, aren't what I appericate in my cave. The little ones I can handle, they're easier to shoo away from things they shouldn't be at."
Willow's brow lofted towards Khad. "Look Khadders, he's just a big ball of floof with eight legs and a couple o' eyes." Her tail flickered at Khad's ear trying to tickle it.
Looking at Rosey she shook her head chuckling. "No Rosey I doubt that'd work on her." She shurged and tried to remove herself from Khad but only ended up tripping and falling. Looking at Khad she sighed and sat up rubbing her elbows. "Yeah Rosey.... that makes it really not hurt." She rolled her eyes muttering.

Some of the rough hairs on Lusiphur's legs bristled slightly at being called 'just a big ball of floof'...he wasn't going to admit his distaste for the phrase, he didn't want to allow the young tigress to know it bothered her - but he kept in mind to watch for things that she might not appreciate later on. It never hurt to keep extra ammunition in the wings just in case.
"Is it usual for you to talk to the thin air, miss...?" Well Khadira had been introduced to him by way of her owner, but Willow had asked his name and not even offered hers in return. He had no idea what to call her. Khadira, well...he supposed that if he did not threaten her - or at least not speak with her she might beome more readily accustomed to his appearance, and eventaully to him.
