About Chidi"Maybe I'm a little bit weak; I let my frailty take the wheel."Name: Chidi Age: Late teens, possibly around level 24 Gender: Male Pokemon: Raichu
Appearance: In his Raichu form, Chidi's most notable features are his glassy white eyes, the large tear in his tail, and the odd O symbol branded on his left cheek. Chidi is often seen with many scars, bandages, and stitches decorating his thin frame, as well was a large number of piercings on his ears and his jagged tail.
Personality: Chidi is a Raichu of few words. He spends much of his time alone, philosophizing. He eats alone, he lives alone, and he enjoys his own company moreso than anyone elses. Despite these antisocial tendencies, Chidi is actually quite friendly and has a rather spunky personality. On occasion, this loner Raichu will make a friend or two, showing that its not to difficult for him to come out of his shell. Known for his michevious streak, he enjoys pranks of all sorts and will often direct them towards one person. These jokes are usually harmless, but more often than not, they backfire on the poor Raichu with disasterous results... but not for him. Chidi finds a way to sidestep these disasters, using his few companions as scapegoats. Because he has never been affected by his mistakes, he hasn't found a reason to learn from them. When all is done and when he feels no need to be around his friends, Chidi will once again drift back to a solitary life.
History: When questioned about his past, Chidi will simply reply 'that's unimportant', without giving it much thought. The truth is, simply, he has blacked it out from his mind, and finds no reason to relive these events. To summarize: Chidi was born into a pack of wild 'Chus that dwelt in the streets of Celadon City. As a Pichu, he found that he was... different than the others. He was quite fast, but this was his only advantage. Chidi couldn't perform a proper Thundershock, nor could he tolerate even the weakest Tackle. Much of his time was spent playing by the fountain in the Celadon Plaza, just outside the Department Store. He soon managed to evolve into a Pikachu, though much later than his siblings, and his growth process soon sped up. He finally managed to use a decent attack, Surf, and continued this increase of strength until he finally was permitted to evolve into a Raichu. His growth was soon halted, however, when a malignant strain of Pokerus struck his pack. A large number of them, including their leader, perished from the horrifying disease. The Pokemon that did not come down with the strange disease survived, but others weren't so lucky. The only two that came down with and survived the virus were Chidi and the leader's son, Kgosi, although it had terrible effects on the two. One of Kgosi's eyes rotted away, while Chidi fell into a state of emaciation, his fur no longer sleek and shiny, but rough and coarse. His eyes turned a shocking shade of white, but he retained his vision, and he found himself weaker than ever. Kgosi challenged Chidi to a battle, assuming that only one could stay and that one would lead the pack. Chidi was quickly defeated, with his tail shredded grotesquely, and banished from Celadon. Marking his cheek with a strange symbol to represent his triumph over the disease and the pain that it caused him, he fled the city.
Strengths: Chidi lost most of his strength and defense during the outbreak, retaining only his speed and his wits. He is astonishingly intelligent, which is probably the only reason he survived as long as he did on his own. He has trouble using electric attacks, usually focusing on his odd ability to use Surf. The only other attacks he can use are Quick Attack, Agility, and, if needed, the occasional Spark.
Weaknesses: Physical weaknesses aside, Chidi suffers from major mental issues. He suffers from frightening flashbacks and has a poor appetite. Physically, he has terrible defense stats and his attacks are lousy too. Chidi also experiences frequent seizure-like breakdowns whenever he works too hard. Therefore, he has no work ethic. As a human, he probably can't walk very well.

About Raichus"Yeah, we're all the same inside."Raichu Evolves from: Pikachu Evolves into: None Generation: First Species: Mouse Pokémon Type: Electric Height: 2 ft 7 in (0.8 m) Weight: 66.0 lb (30.0 kg)Chidi: "LIES." Ability: Static The name Raichu is a portmanteau of the Japanese words "rai", meaning "thunder", and "chuuchuu", which is the Japanese onomatopoeia for a mouse's squeak. Raichu's name is also a pun on the word Raijū, meaning "thunder animal".
Raichu resembles a large, bipedal lagomorph, very similar to a jerboa. It has orange fur, a white underbelly, brown paws and yellow sacs on its cheeks. Its ears are large and pointed and partially curly and it has a whip-like tail that ends in a yellow lightning bolt shape. This end of the tail is flat in females and pointed in males.
Like all Electric-type Pokémon, electricity features prominently in Raichu's life processes. Raichu absorbs electric charges from the environment as needed by either planting its tail in the ground or raising it in the air to gather electricity from the atmosphere. It then stores the accumulated charge in its cheek pouches, like its pre-evolved form Pikachu.
Raichu's ability to contain electric currents is impressive; it is common for its electrical attacks to have a power of 10,000 volts, although record potential differences of up to 100,000 volts have been recorded. Even when not battling, Raichu's body exudes a weak electric charge that makes it luminescent in darkness and can give a nasty shock to anyone who touches it carelessly. Raichu is stronger than Pikachu and they are extremely rare in the wild, due to the fact that Thunder Stones are needed for Pikachu to evolve into Raichu. Raichu can only be found in power plants.
Raichu's attitude is partially dependent on the amount of electricity that courses through its body. The more electric power it stores, the more energetic it becomes. Its muscles are stimulated, a phenomenon especially noticeable in its ears, which stand straight up. At extremely high doses of electricity, Raichu becomes unduly aggressive. As a safeguard against this, Raichu frequently calms itself down by discharging excess electricity using its tail as a ground. In the wild, this results in characteristic patches of scorched earth around a Raichu's nest.
Like most Electric-type Pokémon, Raichu has very good speed and special attack, but poor defenses. Unusually enough, Raichu also has a high attack stat, giving it the potential to use physical attacks quite effectively. Although Raichu learns mostly Electric-type attacks on its own, it can also learn the useful moves Reflect and Light Screen, which can support it and its teammates.Information: (c) Wikipedia.org

The SicknessGreat souls suffer in silence.Warning: the following e-mails describe the virus in great detail. If you can not tolerate it, do ignore them. :3 January 5: Celadon Pokemon Center A flock of dead Zubat was discovered just outside of Cycling Road seven days ago; at first we assumed that they died from a fight of some sort, due to the large amount of blood, but there were no external injuries present. Now we are recieving many patients, all infected with the same disease. Early symptoms of the virus include nausea, dizziness, sever weakness, severe headache, and joint, muscle, or abdominal pain. The disease goes on to cause diarrhea, vomiting blood, red eyes, internal hemorrhage, as well as external hemorrhage from all anatomical orifices, including nose, mouth, eyes, ears, and other parts of the body. Luckily, the virus only seems to be infecting Pokemon. Further testing is required. Can you help? - Nurse M. Joy January 20: Cinnabar Island Research Facility We have recieved a sample of the Pokemon disease from Celadon and have run some tests on it. Looking under a microscope reveals its similarity to the Pokerus disease. Pokerus, as you know, in a beneficial virus discovered in the Johto region. Despite their similarities in appearance, the two seem to have very different symptoms. Can you send me a full report, including the recovery rate, a list of infected Pokemon, and any other information you may have? - Dr. D. Silverstein, Cinnabar Research February 2: Celadon Pokemon Center Current number of cases: 143 Current death toll: 128 (89% fatality rate) Most of the infected Pokemon are of the Flying variety, which leads me to believe that the virus is airborne. We investigated the Rattata nests nearby, and none seem to be carriers; remember the last time we had an outbreak of this sort? Apparently, the disease cannot be 'carried'... you either have it or you don't. In our care, we have a large number of Raichu and Pikachu from a local pack; a large number of them were infected with the disorder. Two males are displaying signs of recovery. Believe it or not, there are visible symptoms of recovery, namely the eyes. In every Pokemon that has survived, the eyes have been affected in one of three ways. The most common result is a loss of eyesight, paired with ocular albinism; perhaps the virus is centered in the eye sockets? We actually have a Pidgey in our care that is suffering from ocular albinism; it doesn't seem to hurt the Pokemon. They just have these strange black eyes... Another symptom, one that is affecting Raichu A, is the disintigration of the eyes. It's a gruesome process... it's as if the eye rots away, leaving an empty socket. We've tried to treat this, but there seems to be no stopping it. If the Raichu fully recovers, an eye patch will be given before we release it. No one wants to see a one-eyed Raichu, right? The final result is apparent in the smaller recovering Raichu. The eyes seem to be losing all color; the last Pokemon to get this ended up with an entire lack of iris, with solid white eyes. I'm not sure why this happens instead of ocular albinism... do you have any theories, David? -Joy February 6: Cinnabar Island Research Facility Keep me updated on the recovery of the two Raichu; this information could be vital. A blood sample of some sort could be useful in ascertaining the cause of the eye problems. Now, in regard to Raichu B: perhaps the disease is eating away at the inside of the iris, resulting in loss of color...? Can the Pokemon still see? Also, please tell me about the Raichu before infection, if anything is known. That could also help. - Dr. D. Silverstein February 15: Celadon Pokemon Center Well, the two Pokemon appear to have fully recovered. Raichu A's left eye is entirely gone. We have treated the wound with antibiotics and fitted the Pokemon for an eyepatch. Also, the veins in the Pokemon's face are quite visible, especially the one's leading from the eyes vertically down to the neck. I have seen Raichu A running around... he's easily recognized by his enormous size. He also seems to be a higher ranking Pokemon in the hierarchy of the group, if not somewhat of a bully. Raichu B, on the other hand, is much smaller. Before the virus took hold, he stood at 1 ft. 10 in. and weighed precisely 40 lb. Now that he is no longer infected, he has lost ten pounds. The poor creature looks emaciated, and refuses to eat. I have no choice but to release him with his friend, due to the Center's standards, but I can't help but feel concerned. The nine other 'chus died last week. Three young Pikachu experienced a complete breakdown; they seemed to have seizures before expelling a large amount of blood and shutting down. It was terrible... the others just seemed to stop living. Autopsies show that their insides are almost completely liquified. I'm not sure how much more I can take of this, David. I mailed you a blood sample of the recovered Raichu last Thursday. Did you recieve it? It seems that the outbreak has ended. We haven't seen any new patients since the 'Chu group. - Nurse M. Joy March 21: Cinnabar Research Facility We found that the blood of the Pokemon contained antibodies, so the disease cannot occur again. We quickly set to work on developing a vaccine; I'm mailing you our successful batch of antibiotics via Viridian Express. It did not take long to develop it, really, but do note that a vaccine will take us much more time. It's interesting how the virus's symptoms are similar to the human Ebola Hemorraghic Fever; perhaps we should call it 'Pokebola'... lol. Anyways, did you release the Raichu? -Dr. D. Silverstein

Feeling the moment slip away Losing direction you're losing faith You're wishing for someone Feeling it all begin to slide Am I just like you All the things you do - can't help myself
How do you feel when there's no sun And how will you be when rain clouds come And pull you down again How will you feel when there's no one Am I just like you
Turning to face what you've become Bury the ashes of someone Broken by the strain Trying to fill that space inside Am I just like you All the things you do - can't help myself
How do you feel when there's no sun And how will you be when rain clouds come And pull you down again How will you feel when there's no one Am I just like you All the things you do
Don't ever feel That you're alone I'll never let you down I'll never leave you dry Don't fall apart Don't let it go Carry the notion Carry the notion back to me
Feeling the moment slip away Feeling the moment slip away
Cause I'm just like you
How do you feel when there's no sun And how will you be when rain clouds come And pull you down again How will you feel when there's no one
Am I just like you?
