She needs to take a couple of grammar lessons. She's my best friend, but sometimes I just want to smash her head into a wall. I can translate almost any "txt talk" because the aim conversations with her are, well to put it lightly, horrifying.
Is it possible to politely tell someone that if they don't learn proper English you will kill them? sweatdrop

I have friends like that, it's annoying. "Honey, I care about you like my sister. But I can't understand a word you type or say. English would be loved." That's what I usually say...

I've given up teaching my friends to write proper English outside of school. They don't want to listen to me... -_-

The only text talk my friends and I use are to make fun of others.. >_>;
Or when We're in a hurry and really have to get off the computer.
Thats the only time.
One of my friends, D< She has some serious problems. I mean, every other word she spells is either
1) Text talk
2) Disgusting spelling

My friends have learned that the more txt tlk they use at me, the less I'll respond. Sometimes they stop, sometimes they don't. gonk

Oh, that's the same with me! Except my friend's actually pretty literate. Sometimes she says "brb", "g2g", "idk", and other illiterate phrases like those, but otherwise she's pretty literate.
My other two friends, though, are a completely separate story. Their every typed word is an abbreviation, so I have fun teasing them, like "Does 'nyce' stand for 'New York City'?" It's really annoying too.

You should probably just tell your friend that txt talk isn't your style or something.
