Both fighters are set in a field of grass where the wind is slightly blowing and the clouds are fairly overhead as the morning comes upon them both, a slight fog passing over the dew of the grass, lowering visibility by 30% (which means, with normal sight, both fighters can barely see one another if there is more than 30ft between them; if the distance goes over 50ft, they become invisible in the fog by normal sights). Around them was a circular boundary set up, designated by an unpenetratable magical wall that was transparent, but still a bit visible, standing at fifty feet tall. Outside this barrier, cameras were set up, giving people a chance to watch this fight from the safety of their TVs, while there were watches kept on the fighter's locations.

Both fighters stood from the center by fifteen feet each, making thirty feet between them both. And then a horn goes off....

FIGHT!

Quote:
Size of the Arena: 100 ft diameter, Wall equals 50 ft tall

Spectators' Location: All spectactors can only be present in some other place aside from the fighting area, using either the television to watch the match or any other appropriate method.

Ring Out: Going over the wall, which means past the boundary itself, or ascending into the air past 60 ft.

Special Rules: After the first post on Page 2, the fog will decrease, making visibility only 15% lower. So, both fighters can truly see one another no matter where they are, yet if they are more than 50 ft apart, they see the other barely.

After the first post on Page 4, the fog disappears as the sun rises, yet the sun will occasionally be blocked out by the clouds.

((Other events may randomly occur as the match progresses, assuming it prolongs.))

The cameras began to flicker on and off, static and random bits of information flashing through the link to those watching beyond. Lights began flashing on and off in a pattern of increasing spaz inducing patterns. Every TV watching altered to show a single face in gunmetal gray that looked to have been plastered on the screens. When he spoke, the TVs and screens spoke for him, "Bow to the marvel of the technological genius, The Wizard of the computing world. Know the victory of Zero Cool is at hand. R-bzzt-r-bzzt-Rise up, and C-bzzt-bzzt-ch-ch-ch-bzzt-CHEER!"

The slender figure was clad in a loose fitting black shirt and a pair of sweat pants, almost cliche for a computer guru. A black beret sat loosely on his misshapen head, a surgeons mask hiding his face as if he were frightened to breathe pure air. At his side he carried several bioelectric energy cells, five to be precise, but one was not what it seemed. He also carried what looked to be a collar with a computer cable attached and a small pistol that looked much like a toy, but didn't seem to fire bullets. A slight click filled the air before that single weapon began to whine.

And so, her next battle began.

She looked to be nothing special. No fancy gadgetry, no ultimate armour...just regular clothes and a few weapons. A tight leather black sleeveless shirt, black baggy pants that closely resemble Hakamas, only they weren't, black leather boots that lace up to the knees, and leather gloves that extended to her elbows comprised her attire.
Her hair was silky, black, and straight. It hung to her chin and was parted in the middle. She had a veeeery pale face, and charcoal eyes that looked rather bored at the moment. Over all, she was kinda pretty, but she usually didn't like it when people told her that. She was 5'8" and weighed 116 pounds.
Her weaponry included two Wakizashis crafted specially for her, which were worn in black scabbards crisscrossed on her lower back. Attached to her right glove there seemed to be tiny spikes sticking out, which would enhance a punch greatly. Good ol' puncture wounds to the face.
In the pockets of her very baggy pants, she had miscellaneous items that would help out in a fight. A few throwing daggers, smoke bombs, and five very interesting looking marbles that were an assortment of colours. A few shreds of cloth were there too, since she realized they come in handy for plugging any wounds she might get in a battle.
Also, unlike her previous battles, she had one knew weapon. A small mechanical device was strapped around her wrist. Hm...wonder what that's for.
Her main sword, her Odachi, didn't appear to be around. Or maybe it was? Who knows. She had a lot of tricks up her sleeves. Wait, she's not wearing sleeves.
She stood there, yawning briefly and looking around, not paying too much attention to her opponent. She'd just let him attack first. He could attack now for all she cared. She didn't like waiting. She was somebody who basically cared about nothing but fighting and hurting people.

Her motto (and Kenpachi's motto from Bleach): Cuts and death are a small price to pay for a bit of fun.

She shifted from foot to foot, waiting for the guy to make a move.

With a slight 'ding' the weapon completed its charging cycle and appeared to be ready for firing. Satisfied he drew one of his energy cells and flicked a switch, unleashing a torrent of blue energy before he vanished from sight. His cloaking system was designed to eliminate visual and extrasensory perception, a dampening field constantly around him removing vibrations and sound. He would disappear into the fog and be off running, unseen and unheard, even when examined by most magical means. His goal was to slip around behind her. ~If she made no action he would slip in from behind to shove a blade through her chest while unleashing a powerful energy-based blast at her spine. If the blast connected the nerve endings around it would flare, causing spasms before shutting down.~

((Oye. I'm back. o:
Sorry for making everybody wait. I should be able to post a lot more often now.
Now, let us User Image))

Raine remained motionless even as he picked one of his energy cells and vanished from sight. Her expression didn't flinch a bit, and her eyes remained expressionless and bored. Indeed, it seemed she was barely paying any attention to him at all.
Her cold grey eyes stared straight ahead at where he had vanished from..and she just...waited.
He would be able to slip around her inhindered in any way, and even he would be able to draw his blade. And then, he shoved the blade into her chest from the back, unleashing energy as he did so. Except, there was a problem.
As he tried to shove the blade through her, he would find that it would merely hit her back with a hard thud, and then go no further. It was like hitting a brick wall, which was weird, because she wasn't wearing any armour at all.
So then, what was this odd shield around her?
Didn't matter though, because now she knew where he was.
She turned suddenly and drove her right elbow backwards as she did so, intending to drive it right into the invisible figure's face.
Surprisingly, there was a crap load of power into this, even though she didn't look overly muscular. He'd probably fall backwards onto his bum and have a massive headache, and a broken nose if this should hit.
It was odd though...he was trying to kill her, and she simpily countered with an elbow. She obviously wasn't taking this very seriously yet.

A loud clang resounded through the air as Jason became visible once more, and unless that same barrier was shielding her arm Raine would have just broken her elbow. He didn't even seem to have felt the blow, blinking at her once before glancing down to his weapon and simply blasting her again. The blast would be accompanied by a sweep of the vibroblade across her midsection, testing this apparent defense. At the same moment his left eye seemed to generate an inner luminescence, one of his components analyzing the supernatural frequencies and energy concentrations in the area. If there was magic, he'd get a feel for it, and he'd work to disable it not long thereafter.

Thankfully, she did have that same barrier around her elbow, only to a lesser degree. Therefore, as it smacked into him and he became visible again, a large cracking noise errupted throughout the battle area, indicating that her defense was cracked, and indeed was not an "ultimate" defense.
Either way, as she turned and realized that her attack was basically worthless, she'd simply back up a bit, but not in time for him to attempt a couple other attacks on her.
He'd simply find that it would be like blasting and scraping a brick wall, and nothing more.
And yes, his eye -would- be able to tell probably what it was. It wasn't like she was a god with some invisible force around her...'cause that just wouldn't be cool.
The barrier around her consisted of a form of dark energy that resided in her very soul, and she could pour the dark energy out into a solidified form and make it do whatever she wished. Shield, weapon, object, illusions, you name it..she could do it. However, this energy was a lot different from other energies that might be found around. Hers appeared to be..something really odd, as though it were mixed with some other force maybe? It was hard to say, because she didn't really know herself. She wasn't exactly human, and her origins were a mystery to herself.
Whatever the case may be, this energy couldn't merely be erased from the battle, because it was actually a part of her. He would have to kill her to stop her from using it.
Course, the more she used her dark energy, however, the more energy it sucked from her. But she would last a very long time, because she had an incredibly vast amount of energy. The aura around her body was part of this energy, as she had merely placed a thin layer of it around her body that wouldn't be visible to the naked eye. Although, if it were hit hard enough, it would crack and shatter.
The reason that the aura around her elbow cracked and not elsewhere, was because she focused the aura more heavily on her midsection and head, rather than her limbs.
She intended to back up quite a few feet from him, unless of course he decided to advance or shoot her or something in that time frame. If he should let her back up, she'd simply crouch down low to the ground and place her right palm flat on the grass, where she would then place a rather large amount of dark energy beneath the surface of the Earth, intending it for later use.

The gaunt man would not be giving her even a moment's respite, following her as his body seemed to swell. Every motion passed without him making a single sound or making any vibrations in the ground or air. He contemplated rushing in while cloaked, but figured it would be a waste of resources. As his anlysis continued his blade began to resonate with a different frequency along the blade. Apparently he was trying to find a resonance which would allow his blade to slide through the energy barrier with ease, either by disrupting it or simply cutting it. He did not, however, attack with the blade, instead twisting himself to deliver a kick towards her chest, though oddly slightly high and to his right, as well as deliver a blast from his firearm down the length of his body to her. Something about that spindly leg didn't look fun, or healthy for that matter.

((Sorry, I'm making you wait so much before I post. D: It's really tough for me to keep up with this, since I have school and a job now and need sleep. x_x I'll try to be more dilligent.))

Well, that stunk. It seemed she wouldn't have any time to compose herself and do stuff with her energy. He stayed on her very well, and she knew he was no amateur. He would most likely be a tough opponent, one not to be underestimated.
And now it seemed he was going to try a little H2H and weaponry attacks on her. She was pretty good at Hand-to-hand.
As he twisted to kick her, she stepped suddenly to the side and turned her body slight, so that his kick would merely fly right past her chest. As he turned to shoot her, she'd duck in hopes that the bullet would miss. Even if it -did- hit, it was doubtful it would penetrate the barrier of her shadow armour, but she didn't fancy getting hit anyways, just in case her defense failed her.
If these things should work, she'd merely move in as his foot and arm were still raised. She pulled her right arm around her stomach, as though it were hugging her. Then, she thrust it backwards from the way it originally wrapped, launching an elbow straight for his stomach while she remained crouched. This elbow again had a lot of force, and it seemed that she too was testing his own barriers.
Whatever the case was, her body began to glow faintly, a greyish aura pouring off of her. It seemed she was gearing up for some form of assault.

((Its fine, take your time. I've got the whole job and school thing too, I now how it can be sometimes. And, for reference, they're energy blasts, not bullets. XP Designed to ******** up neurological and technological pathways. Bullets don't do much to his breed, and as such they need different weapons.))

The strike would land softly against his stomach, the suit under his clothing absorbing the blow and dispersing the kinetic force across his frame. Within his line of sight the technological readouts that monitored his bodygave him information about his current bioelectricity level, which seemed unaffected by the blow, and his suits current durability. In all, the world to him seemed to be some sort of video game, complete with a count for his ammo and a Friend or Foe Identification system. This having been said, the moment Raine went in for that strike the leg would shift internally. At connection the sweatpants would dissolve away and unleash a torrent of a silvery viscous fluid all over her and her barrier. Suddenly, nanites! Thousands of them. A rapid conversion of matter and energy would start taking place as they sought to eat whatever was in their way. In short, they'd be eating Raine's barrier at a subatomic level, siphoning energy and any matter within into their conversion system.
