Both fighters are set in a field of grass where the wind is slightly blowing and the clouds are fairly overhead as the morning comes upon them both, a slight fog passing over the dew of the grass, lowering visibility by 30% (which means, with normal sight, both fighters can barely see one another if there is more than 30ft between them; if the distance goes over 50ft, they become invisible in the fog by normal sights). Around them was a circular boundary set up, designated by an unpenetratable magical wall that was transparent, but still a bit visible, standing at fifty feet tall. Outside this barrier, cameras were set up, giving people a chance to watch this fight from the safety of their TVs, while there were watches kept on the fighter's locations. Both fighters stood from the center by fifteen feet each, making thirty feet between them both. And then a horn goes off.... FIGHT!Quote: Size of the Arena: 100 ft diameter, Wall equals 50 ft tall Spectators' Location: All spectactors can only be present in some other place aside from the fighting area, using either the television to watch the match or any other appropriate method. Ring Out: Going over the wall, which means past the boundary itself, or ascending into the air past 60 ft. Special Rules: After the first post on Page 2, the fog will decrease, making visibility only 15% lower. So, both fighters can truly see one another no matter where they are, yet if they are more than 50 ft apart, they see the other barely. After the first post on Page 4, the fog disappears as the sun rises, yet the sun will occasionally be blocked out by the clouds. ((Other events may randomly occur as the match progresses, assuming it prolongs.))

As opposed to a single man standing across the center of the arena from Ebby there would be a giant built of living wood. The monolith was at least twenty feet in height and seemed to have no joints at which to bend, moving in wahtever direction fancied the being within. Emerald flames danced about the three fingered claws of the great armor of the Gaea's Embrace, hiding Qwy within, sheilding and armoring him from attacks that were certain to be made in the span of the fight.

The sickly sweet stench of damp grass burning drifted along with the fog, a modestly noisy sizzle announcing Ebby's presence, roiling clouds fo steam pouring off of the ICS-Balroth LE, his machine of choice for this encounter. The air around the towering, deceptively elegant mecha wavered as heat poured out from it, causing the plants around it to catch in minor blazes, burning meekly as the water evaporated from them.
Within the much redisigned and perfected ACS-Radiance based design, Ebby's eyes carefully scanned readouts fed directly into his synapses. The fog was of minimal hindrance in view of the complex sensory array built into the machien and its pilot - Qwy and his naturalistic armor were easily detected. As it so hapenned, the verdant monolith was a few feet taller, and no doubt, much more massively built than the flowing lines of the Balroth.
A fluid, whipping motion brought the mech's arm to bear, leveled in Qwy's direction, preparing to fire...

Qwy seemed to waste no time getting started, which seemed to ring true for his opponent as well. The flames that burst from the grass at the presense of the mecha began to rage, growing from mere embers to a conflagration that quickly enveloped the entire arena. The fog would quickly burn away and leave a fine powder in the air as the flames turned a deep emerald. The ground trembled as the monolith began to move, a nimbus of verdant flame coursing through the armor as it aimed to simply cross the negligable expanse between them and body slam the mecha. The two were only thirty feet away from one another and between an incredible burst of speed usually not available to the Embrace and its own reach crossing the distancecame as a flash of lightning. While it was true that the mecha could fire in that brief moment, Qwy's monolith was not one to bend to most ordinance, not even plasma weapons.

The Balroth was a rapid encounter combat ICS - the startling aglity of the Embrace's charge was comfortably within its specifications. A ruined furrow of torn up earth marked it's sudden dash away from the attack, diving to the Embrace's right and maintaing a enemy-focused facing as it fired, a blazing inferno of plasma blasting out from the arm mounted weapon, superheated until it became a cloud of Sol like flame...

Small pops filled the air as the plasma surged through the fine powder that was now raining down upon the arena. Like small pinecones the intense heat of the plasma based attack did not incinerate the poder but instead caused it to 'bloom,' for lack of a better word. In the attack's wake a quickly growing line of what seemed to be flame colored roses would be sprouting in the air. The plasma attack would hit the embrace dead on, which was not surprising given the monolith's bulk. Instead of destroying it, however, the superheated plasma would wash over the bark and cause the flames to surge into a column of Greenfire that reached high into the heavens. Even the air would begin to burn in a most unnatural way, giving way to a pillar of wood and bark that spanned thirty feet in diameter with a height of at least one hundred feet, easily, likely more. Qwy and the Embrace were nestled within the new 'tree,' protected momentarily, so it seemed.

What a nuisance, honestly. The Balroth slowed to a halt in the shadow of the great tree, Standing quite still a foot or two of of the ground, supported by anti-grav fields that were, as a default, active. Ponderously, it seemed to examine the massive tree, its 'head' angling up and down - though it was doubtful that its receptors were really so limited as to require such a humanoid behavior.

The great tree began to sway, the bark creaking as it started to bend and twist to the powerful will that now controlled it from within. Living wood began to spay out in all directions, long spines of wood extending like feelers to the extent of the arena, unless otherwise hindered. The same green flame began to lick up the sides of the tree as the dust in the air began to swirl and the flame colored roses fell to the ground.

In a sudden blast of heat and raging colors, something burst from the Balroth's hands, weaving an angry orange web of flames aroudn it before tightening, becoming flesh with the machine's surface - the Balroth was now incased in additional armor, a warm redish glow wavering in the air around it.

The feelers began to extend towards the armor, the only precursor to what would happen next. The entire upper mass of the tree would begin to flow, twisting to make a 180 and slam its upper limits down on the armor. The greenfire would ensure that any flame it came in contact with was quickly coverted or dispelled. The druidic magic within would act as a sort of catalyst to corrosive acts placed upon metal surfaces. The spiked mass fell with the intent of pulverising the figure.

This s**t was getting tedious. Very, very tedious. The poor field that was playing host to this s**t wasn't all to happy either - another set of torn up furrows marked yet another quick dash from the ICS Balroth. No longer moving along the ground, the tough little machine was hovering, blazing out of the way of the incoming strike - just before runnign head on, football tackle style into the base of the tree.
Amazingly, the next noise to blast through the arena would likely be a sickening crack - the sound of such a huge, monumental piece of greenery being uprooted.

As the Balroth moved the spores in the air would attempt to cling to the suit, heat and flame causing the seeds to burst open and begin a rampant growth pattern. Even if they could not force their way into any cracks or seams, wrapping around the mechanical suit to entangle it was not a poor goal. Any heat and flame applied would only exponentially increase the rate of growth, and they seemed highly capable of regeneration. Furthermore, the spikes that nor radiated from the base of the tree would make movement incredibly difficult, and would continuously alert Qwy to his opponent's location. Crashing into the trunk of the tree would force its roots, limited though they may be, to rip from the ground. The entire organic construct would tilt for a moment before simply lifting 'round the other way. Inside Qwy could be assumed to be upside down as the end that had sought to crush the mechanical suit sent roots through the ground at an incredible rate. As one last spite the same druidic magic that had sought to corrupt the suit before would still find its way to the mechanical construct through its own voluntary contact.

How convenient, then, that the melded plate was not really metal - not as such, no. The spikes were a minor impediment, the mech hovering off the ground lightly, and the plating taking the damage comfortably. Really, the only harm of any worth was the damage caused directly on collision. Even so, it was almost neglible. With a susserating hum, the Balroth floated away from the tree, moving closer to the edges of the permited combat area...

The idea of the introduction of druidic magic into the frame of the Balroth was not to simply degrade metal this time around, but enforce the will of nature. While it was true that metal components would decay, for lack of a better all-encompassing term, the energy would also seize more natural and earthly components. The idea of grabbing anything bourne from nature and either turning it to useless mush or having it break apart the Balroth from the inside was fun, but likely limited in application due to limited contact.
That idea set aside for a moment, the rampant growth throughout the arena continued, the roses sprouting into pillar of Greenfire, which caused more seeds to pop and more roses to fall. The forst of spikes extending from tree expanded, reaching all the way along the massive trunk, their number only incresing throughout the arena. Streaks of blue light began to arc across the sunlit sky, their light cutting through that of the sun.
