Natsuki got quite the special order when a anonymous caller contacted her on her mobile phone. The request was her magical multi-flavoured carnival birthday cake. Three gorgeous layers with rich frosting, creamy filling, and soft, spongy cake. What better way to christen her new kitchen than with a special birthday surprise for her dear pal Chloe and her handsome associate, Dr. Kyou. Natsuki slaved over the hot ovens for hours making sure each layer was baked to complete and utter perfection. Carefully sculpted flowers and accents were handmade from sugar and marzipan.

Just one bite, and your taste buds dance in a merry-go-round of sweet flavors. The best thing about it, is that no two pieces taste the same! There's more than enough to go around to everyone! Since the lab recently exploded, Natsuki decided to pass on adding candles to her work of art. She carefully placed it on a cart with a gorgeous linen table cloth, awaiting to unveil her latest creation.

"That's one sexy cake," Natsuki beamed, staring at her craftsmanship with a satisfied smile. "I just hope everyone likes it..."

It wasn't like Ravi to hold a party, but it seemed to him that the two being celebrated deserved it. Chloe and Kyou had offered not only Ravi, but others, as well, so much, that it only seemed fitting to celebrate the both if he was able. It was easy enough to find a place to hold the party in - thank the gods for newspaper classifieds - but he hadn't expected the owner of the housing complex to be an owner of a Raevan of himself! Furthermore, Mr. Julian Sweet had offered to sponsor the event, as well. Natsuki, a holder of a fel essence like he was, had offered to not only bake a cake for the Doctor and his assistant, but also to play as disk jockey for the party. Everyone seemed eager to offer Chloe and Kyou their condolences. It'd be wrong of Ravi not to help! Even if it meant, he thought with a suppressed shudder, socializing.

Though he loathed the thought of smiling for several hours straight, he looked forward to meeting with others interested in the Raevans. He was close to deciding on a soul for his Raevan, but perhaps some more interaction with other involvedwith Lab 305 would prompt Ravi to action. He had hesitated for too long... he wouldn't want to worry the Doctor.

Feeling he was being looked at from behind, Ravi turned to face We`rika over at the bar. Yes, it had been the Huichol who had helped convince Ravi to hold this event in the first place. Somehow, and inexplicably so, the two had become friends of a sort, and communication between the two, while broken, was still maintained. When Chloe and Kyou's birthdays were drawing near, somehow We`rika had known of it, too, and together the two formulated their plans for the party.

They'd also worked together on deciding who would hold which jobs for the event. As We`rika's expertise involved more mischievous activities, he was placed in charge of the alcohol and pinata. Ravi allotted himself the duties of the hors d'ouvres making and introductions - he could manage politeness for a few seconds, after all.

He looked at the watch on his right wrist. Hmm. Perhaps it was still a little early to expect guests...

Ravi's eyes narrowed when he saw We`rika stack yet another shot glass into some ...shape. Was that supposed to be a pyramid? See, this was why Ravi stayed AWAY from alcohol. Apparently the Huichol lacked similar reservations. Sighing, Ravi crossed his arms and looked away from We`rika and back towards the entrance.

"'Fashionably late' is how the saying goes, isn't it?" he quipped. "I believe you... made your point when you delivered the invitations. All we have to do now is wait." He offered a quick, over-the-shoulder glance to We`rika, and spat, "Control yourself a little? I'd like you to still be standing when the Doctor and Chloe arrive." His fingers tapped against his arm - a nervous habit? Perhaps he was a bit on edge, as well. It was certainly out of character for him to be this outgoing. Already, the Lab seemed to be changing him...

Natsuki loved parties, especially when she got to help plan it. When she figured out that We'rika and Ravi, two of the guys she met at the Lab's Partie D'Amour. Being as OCD as she is, she wasn't going to rely on a team of men to plan a party, though she had more confidence in the exacting nature of Tsu, and Julian's calculation abilities. She arrived early to set up, and then dashed back hack to her place to dress accordingly.

"Sorry to keep you waiting, gentleman," Natsuki said, as she walked in dressed to kill, and toting her laptop. She was well prepared for a night of killer tunes, and possibly a little mixing things up. "Hope you aren't too disappointed. And keep those fingers away from the cake until its time to eat it. I have a knife, and I will use it."

Natsuki threw her head back and laughed, throwing a wink to Ravi and We'rika. She hoped everyone received their invitations, as they took forever to get finished. "Mix me up something light and fruity, We`rika? I need to finish setting up."
