Oh my, my. If he were one to decide that he had a favorite student he woudl have to say that it was the one that he was having in his next class. First he had taught him how best to use those sticky toes of his and now this time around it was a sticky tongue that he was going to be learning how to use... hahahaha... Nibal was far to much fun to have classes with! It was a fairly simple, straight forward class this time, no excuse to go climbing buildings sadly and he was still doing his best, more so now, to resist the urge to have the class set up in a museum so that they could practice with him using that tongue of his to snag things out of the display cases.
Must. Resist. Evil.
Orpheus was waiting outside for this class less because it was needed to be held outside and more because he just felt like going outside. It was a nice day, warming up out and he figured it would be more fun. A cooler sat along with lots of supplies for the class, the cooler containing bottles of water for Nibal to drink as he needed them. Now all he had to do was wait for his students arrival.

Nibal was excited to be going to this class again. The last one had been so much fun! He wondered what he'd be learning to do next and if he'd get to climb the building again. That had been fun and he'd been practicing using his fingers and toes to pick up things.
Peri was a bit more concerned than his boy, curious as to what the man would be coming up with this time, and so was accompanying Nibal and dragon to where Orpheus was waiting. Not that he felt that Nibal would get lost between his office and outside, but because he wanted to know if his son would be climbing buildings again.
Kalseru was wandering along behind the boy. This was the second class for her to be attending and she hadn't really like the first teacher much. But Nibal had told her that he liked this one a lot more and so she would just have to wait and see, she supposed.

Orpheus' gaze focused and turned to look in the direction that the trio was coming from. His student, the student's father, and the student's dragon were all here for the class today? He took a few steps closer to look the dragon over, "First time I have seen one of this kind." He murmured before looking up to Peri and Nibal, "Hello, great to see the two of you again." An honest greeting as he had far to much fun with the last class and this one should prove to be just as much.

Nibal grinned. "She's a green dragon. P'las says there's only one other one and he's not even sure if it's hatched yet or not. He says that it's close to hatching, though."
Peri nodded to his fellow teacher. "I hope there's no building climbing this time...?" He asked.
Kal was happy to be talked about and she grinned draconically up at the man. Yes, she could see why her boy liked this man. He seemed much nicer than that magic-lady.

Orpheus gave a laugh, "No, unfortunately there will be no climbing this time." He said, "Unless you would like another visit?" He offered, always up for a bit of climbing himself.
He turned to Nibal, "She is a very pretty colored dragon, kinda makes me think of an emerald." There were some days when Orpheus seemed to have gems on the brain, normally when there were reports of such and such museum getting whatever new gem in on display. Somedays he believed they were trying to bait him into coming... But hey, he was semi retired-ish... for the most part at least...
"Today we will be having a rather routine sort of class but if you want to stay and observe I don't mind when parents do that." He assured Peri. Rather routine being relative to... well his classes.

Peri shook his head. "No, no. That's quite alright..."
Kalseru really liked this man now. She couldn't help but preen herself a bit at Orpheus' comment. She was a pretty color. Of course, green was the best color ever. Followed closely by blue, of course, seeing how her kid was blue. If only he was green...
Nibal grinned, but was a bit disappointed about the no climbing. Oh well, surely they'd be learning something just as fun.
Peri patted his son's shoulder. "I'll be off now. Got a class of my own to get set up and all." With that, he walked off towards the building.

Orpheus watched Peri go before a grin spread over his lips, and if he had a tail it would be wagging in a devilish sort of way. He turned to look at his student and gave a smile, "Ever consider the idea of using your tongue to help you pick things up?" He asked. This class was going to be fun...

Nibal turned from watching his father leave to look at the teacher. "My... tongue?" The boy was a bit confused, but it did sound cool. "I can do that?" If he had a tail, it would've been wagging as well.
Kal settled down to see how this class went. It seemed better than the last since there wasn't any desks and chairs around and it was outside...

He gave a nod, "A frog has a long tongue that can both extend and stick to things, makes it so that they can catch food though in your case I am sure it can be used for many other things as well. After all you have the smarts to use it for such things. First thing is first though and that would be practicing just the the extending of the tongue."
Would make a deadly weapon if the frog ever got a tongue piercing, could flick his tongue out and deck someone.

Nibal's eyes went very wide, then narrowed as he thought. How did one make their tongue extend out? Was it like sticking out your tongue, just farther? Well, he might as well try that, since he had no other idea as to where to start. Slowly, he stuck his tongue out, going crosseyed as he tried to see if it was working.
Nope. Frowning, the boy tried it again, slowly sticking out his tongue to no avail.

"I am not exactly sure on how we get your tongue to shoot out like that, I think that falls into that 'instinct' category." He said to the frog boy, that was a category that he was unable to teach so he could just try to figure out how it may work but mechanics and instinct were so very different.
"Try flicking out your tongue? Like a snake does, maybe if you do it quickly it will cause the reaction we are looking for?" He gave a guessing suggestion.

Nibal glanced up at the teacher as the man spoke, then tried to think. Instinct? Oh, a suggestion. Like a snake, huh? He thought for a moment, trying to think on exactly how a snake's tongue moved. Oh yeah, that's right. So Nibal tried to flick his tongue out, quickly this time around.
"Whoa!" The boy jumped backwards as his tongue shot out. He'd gone crosseyed again to try and see it and it had looked rather strange to see his own tongue shoot out like that. "Cool!" He grinned up at Orpheus.

Orpheus gave a laugh when the boy's tongue actually shot out all of a sudden, he then clapped his hands, "Very, very good." He praised his student especially since neither of them exactly knew how to get the tongue doing the shotting thing. That the idea he had for it worked made Orpheus quite happy.
"Alright, try that a couple of more times and then we will move on to the next part of the class."

Nibal grinned, almost dancing in excitement. "Okay." He tried to calm down to attempt it again. Taking a deep breath, he flicked his tongue out again. "Cool! It worked again!" And again. And again. Oh, and once more for good measure.

"Very good. Now what I have here." He picked up his clipboard and got out some regular, over the counter red, black, and white circular shaped targets, "Are what your going to be aiming for. The middle ring if you can hit it once with your tongue then then next ring out at least three times." That gave him a rather good sized area to work with the hardest part being the center circle.
