k, so like the big dork that I am, I've started watching this new show on lifetime called blood ties about vampires and such. (I'll give almost anything a chance) and was wondering if anybody else had seen it? It's based off of a different book series and different author, but I can't help but keep thinking, "damn that seems way like anita blake..." not all of it exactly, but it tends to ring a bell, although it's a very distant bell...
just a thought.

I've read the series, by Tanya Huff and it's really good. Once you get into it, you find out it's waaaaay different than Anita Blake. But the TV series is making it a little....I don't know, Hollywood-ish. If you like it, I suggest you try the books, they're really great reading.

I love that sirese! If only I could get my hands on episode 1, 2, 3 and four ! I've seen five-8 and can't wait to get more. Did you say theres a book sirese? WHO IS THE AUTHOR?!?!?!?!

Tanya Huff is the author. I just ordered the first 2 books from amazon & while I was waiting for them to be delivered, I found the TV show. I have watched all the episodes, but have yet to read the books.

I started to watch it think it was like Anita Blake but was disappointed to find it was hardly like it.I still watch it through cuz its pretty good n Henry is sooooooo cute heart .

I've seen the episodes and downloaded some off itunes. It's very good, and Vicky seems to be like Anita but not much. I wish there was more fighting in the series and Vicky could be more of a bad a** like Anita. Unfortunatly not and Henry seems like a wimp, but a hot one at that. Mike, I really don't like him. I just don't, I get a wiggy vibe from him. Conny is a good character but could have a more played role. They could have left her out of the series since her character isn't in it very much.
Over all, it's a good series and I wish Anita Blake could become one too.

I love that show so much Henry is so hot! *Cough* Well yea anyway it seems like the books would be good but Im watching the series on lifetime, now Im just waiting for it to start the new season.

He reminds me a bit of of Jean-Claude in a way, even though he looks more like Richard. And then Mike reminds me of Richard attitude-wise (later books though). ::shrugs::

to see the whole series, hop onto youtube.
It's funny though because the guy that plays Henry also played as the horny boyfriend in The Pacifier. I was watching it one day and actually looked at the guy and started laughing. Normally, an actor can change outfits and hair-do's and acting styles, but after watching Blood Ties and seeing him in The Pacifier, he just looked like Henry poorly ghetto-fied.

I like the series ^^, but the books are way better *apart from the spin offs i've never like them*
I've been trying to get the blood bank number 6 in the collection but u can only get it as a double book with number 5 *pouts*
