Not really sure what to think just yet, as the site is really nothing more than that one page and a message board :p

But at least it's confirmation, after all that talk of a possible Sonic X TCG floating around. Wonder how hard they'll be to get ahold of, though...I was only able to find one booster pack of those Sonic X trading cards.

Sonic X Trading Cards have been around for a loooong time. I've seen tons of the little beggers over my time, a friend of mine into CCG's bought a pack so he could try and lure me in, alas it failed...

Miserably.

Not 2 b rude, but that is sooooooo stupid! They make a trading card game out of every thing! I hate it!

I wouldn't buy it for the game(as I really do hate card games like that)...but if the cards are pretty, then I might be interested in picking up a pack. I enjoy purchasing things when the artwork is decent and it involves characters I like..but that's about it.

That sounds like my opinion of Magic: the Gathering. smile

As far as the SX CCG's concerned, though, I confess that I'm far more likely - as an old school fan - to get annoyed over the sudden influx of people who think that reading data on (quite possibly inaccurate) CCG cards makes them an expert than anything in the game mechanics.

Many of the Magic cards I have were collected for that reason. It's certainly why I bought some of the Call of Cthulhu CCG.... the game is a little dubious, but the art very good indeed.

I was told about these cards coming out last year at the San Diego Comic con. The man said that they would be comeing out and selling them at the next years Comic Con. Which is now this year. I am going to the comic con again. Hopefully I will be able to find some cards.

Last year I was able to get a pack of some kind of collectable Sonic X cards. They were not trading cards, but some kind of collectables. They had pictures from the show and some info on the back of them. They all have a number too and the man said you can play crazy eights with them or something. Um....yeah. But they were still cool none the less. On the back of some of the cards was a picture to a puzzle. You needed all the cards in order to complete the pictue. Like I said. There were just some collectable things. I just bought one pack. I don't have them with me so I cannot put any scans up. Sorry.

That's okay - thanks for sharing. I haven't even seen any sign of a UK release yet; but again, I'm a little off the beaten track unless I trip over these things online.

At least, unlike some things, they'll be easily importable.

Well I went to Comic con yesterday. They were not selling the new cards yet. The box was on display! But they were not selling it or anything. Comic con is full of stuff that isn't for sale until many months from now. They said it would come out in September. They also said that the year before they had some TCG cards that were just like this came and are compatible with it. This game comes with a bunch of new cards though, rule book, etc. They stoped selling those cards a long time ago though. I have no idea what they were called or what they looked like. They were not the cards I got though last year, thats for sure. Thats about the only Sonic thing I could find there though. Sorry. I hope this info is a little useful.

Man, it'd be nice if whatever company that's making these would do a little bit more in the marketing department...I never ran into any game-style cards throughout my runs to the usual suspects- comic shops, bookstores, toy stores, game stores, etc...

Unless they just are selling THAT fast. I guess I should consider myself lucky to even find a pack last year of the collectible cards you mentioned. About a week after I bought them from Sam Goody, I returned to find them cleared out (and yet noone seems to want a Knuckles plush : p).

Guess I'll just have to keep a better eye out for the new series...Maybe some dealer at a convention I'm going to next month will have an early shipment or something.

Speaking as someone who couldn't get to San Diego: thanks! Sounds intriguing - I wonder if they're coming out with a new edition with a tweaked rules system.
