my boyfriend's suicidal, what should i do?? with all that he's gone through he has every reason to be suicidal, i'm at a loss.

i'm not joking cry
his parents are divorced, his father beat him, his mother beat him, ppl pulled knives on him at school, tried to force him to take drugs, ppl would jump him and beat after school then him mom would beat him for coming home late, his brother tries to kill him while he sleeps, he snapped on some ppl once and almost killed them. the only thing he has right now is me, and i have to move to the other side of the country in july.

But I read websites and got help and thats what he should do as well.

Also keep in mind that if he, you, your friends, or anyone else that may be thinking about it, commits suicide, it only means that the tormentors win. Tell him to live his life and make something of himself so he can show up all those who rag on him by getting farther in life than they do. As for the parental beatings and violence in school, I would certainly contact the authorities ASAP. Also some therapy on his part for the apparent and not surprising emotional instability may be a good idea too, no matter how much we all hate it, just give him some time.

tell him to go to the cops and say he is getting child abused. Even if they don't belive him tell him to keep telling them

I can relate a little. Been through that. Harassed by people, smashed against the lockers, spit on, parent's divorced when I was like nine or ten, my step father forced himself on me when I was ten (he sexually assulted me for three years), delt with my friends taking drugs, I tried a few times and really didn't like it, verbally, and mentally abused by my ex boyfriend, father acts most of the time forgeting about my existance, seen my family tear apart, but I've seen it starting to mend tgether.
So, just listen to him. Don't be fake with him. Even if he feels like he's losing himself, let him know that he has you. Be real with him, but don't be to real to the point that it makes you seem cold. I wish somebody would have done that with me instead of acting like everything was magical butterflies and rainbows, or extreamly cold.
