It was Midnight in the D'ob and not a single Nequus was stirring, at least not to the familiar's point of view. The tiny familiars made their way around the sleeping Nequus until they spotted one that was still awake. Buach was stomping a grey hoof on the ground, his ears pinned back against his skull. His dark green pelt made it possible for him to hide in the green foliage of the forest that lined the Valley, but his light green wings made him stand out whenever he had them unfolded. Tonight, they were tucked against both of his sides.
He sighed slightly as his effort to find decent minerals in the ground failed. He knew that he wasn't that intellegent or strong, but what he lacked in those areas he flourished in the others. His agility was his strongest suite along with his power. He could go for days on end at a trot and still wouldn't be weary. The green-pelted Nequus lifted his head up as he gazed around the Valley with his bright green eyes. "Too quiet," he muttered under his breath. He didn't want to admit it that he was happy that it was this quiet...for the meantime.

 Having trained his body for nearly the whole day, the tribal green stallion had been exhausted and ready for bed when that hour rolled around. Such a wonderful sleep. Nice sleep, quiet sleep, and in the morning he could do as he always did, train himself stupid. Looking forward to the quiet of the night, the large Aeri had settled into a comfortable position and was waning towards sleep, when a bit of noise caught his attention. He had been paying attention when he had first choosen his sleeping area, but now it was apparent he wasn't exactly alone. At first, the Aeri merely pinned his ears in annoyance, willing to ignore that little stomp... that is, until a voice trailed after it too. "Not quiet enough", he growled under his breath, shifting his weight as his joints cracked and his knees went unlocked. Ugh, so much for that comfortable position he thought bitterly. Glaring into the darkness with tired crimson eyes, he pondered seeking out whoever it was, but decided against it and turned tail, about to search out another place to sleep.

Buach heard a voice from behind him and he quickly spun around. It was then that he saw a flash of green-bright green. He cringed slightly. How could anyone walk around with that bright color drawing attention to itself. He flicked his tail irritably as he fluttered his wings against his side. "Well, it was quiet until someone had to break it," he said in a soft voice to the other Nequus. Turning around, he took a few steps away from the area he had been digging and he began to lightly dig again.
He twitched his ears towards the back of his head to hear if the other Nequus would dare to come near him. He didn't want to reveal his true nature. That was the one reason why his parents kicked him away from his and his siblings tree. His psychotic nature made him very unstable most of the time and he had even plotted to kill his younger brother. Lowering his head down towards the ground, he sniffed at the dirt to detect if there were any good minerals in it.

About to go on his way without much objection, Zak just happened to hear what was said next. So there was someone else awake out here, not that he could see him very well at all. "Speaking 'bout yourself there?" he retorted, for as he recalled, he was the one who had been woken up, not the other way around. The large Aeri wasn't exactly sure to whom he was speaking with, but he did shift his body back around, not about to keep his back open in such a tired state. Despite this, he was rather confident about his chances, for who really wanted to tangle with a large brute, after all, he was an intimitator, not a full out brawler. Flicking his short excuse of a tail, he felt his head bob as his knees locked again out of habit. Hell, he was tired, but he didn't quite like the idea of not getting in the last word here. Figuring, and hoping for sleep's sake, that this encouter would end quickly, and either he or the other would find enough sense to move on. Not him though, not Zak, he was comfortable where he was, and rather edgy at this point.

Buach growled angrily, yet he didn't turn around. He didn't want to argue with some tired Nequus over something silly. He flicked his tail again as he glanced back at the Aeri. "No, was talking about you," he said before lifting his head up and slowly trotting away from the area. Maybe somewhere near the edge of the forest line he could find some good minerals. He didn't really expect the other Nequus to follow him. Sleep was one thing many Nequus needed, but not him.
Insomnia took over his body at night and sometimes he didn't remember what went on during the night-time hours. He doubted he would remember this Nequus when the sun rose over the mountain-top, but for now his mind was focused on something else other than the world around him.

Talking about him? Puh, he snorted at that, for he seriously doubted he had a problem with snoring during the night. Perhaps it wasn't exactly the best thing for him right now, but he found it difficult to let anything go. For a long moment he indeed pondered over following the other nequus, but nearly clapped his teeth together and went off in another direction. He didn't exactly see where the other had went off too, and he couldn't exactly hear the hoof beats either, but he figured the very slight chance of him picking the exact path as the other, was very slim to none. On his way to find a better sleeping place, for he actually now that other was contaminated with bad feeling, and sleep would not find him; he mumbled about how idiotic some particular Nequus could be. Zak was a very spiritual kinda guy, and believed in several superstitions, one being that you would never find sleep in the exact same place more then once.

Buach narrowed his eyes as he watched the other stallion wander away. He didn’t pursue the other Nequus, but he wandered away from the D’ob area to find someplace that was his calling. Maybe there he could find someone worthy of being in his presense and could stand his ‘childish’ ways.

For all he was worth Zak was tired to the core, and the fact the fool didn't follow him was all the more pleasure for him. The presence of others? Who needed such a thing, friends were for the weak. Being friendly was just low and tom foolery. However, alliances were a god-send. That disagreeable stallion on the other hand, was far from his needs. With little effort Zak found a remote area away from the giddy bae and the other valley dwellers, soon sleep would catch him, and he would welcome it with open hooves.
