Ondine's Tale
Ondine was a water nymph in German mythology. She was very beautiful and (like all nymphs) immortal. The only threat to a nymph's eternal happiness is if she falls in love with a mortal and bears his child - she will lose her gift of everlasting life.
Ondine fell in love with a dashing knight - Sir Lawrence - and they were married. When they exchanged vows, Sir Lawrence said, "My every waking breath shall be my pledge of love and faithfulness to you." A year after their marriage Ondine gave birth to Lawrence’s son. From that moment on she began to age. As Ondine’s physical attractiveness diminished, Lawrence lost interest in his wife.
One afternoon Ondine was walking near the stables when she heard the familiar snoring of her husband. When she entered the stable, however, she saw Sir Lawrence lying in the arms of another woman. Ondine kicked her husband awake, pointed her finger at him, and uttered her curse: "You swore faithfulness to me with every waking breath, and I accepted your oath. So be it. As long as you are awake, you shall have your breath, but should you ever fall asleep, then that breath will be taken from you and you will die!"

Undines Legend
These are the elemental spirits of water. Their magic centers upon this element, whose course and function they can control. Undines exist within the water itself and cannot be seen with normal human vision. Their homes are typically within the coral caves in lakes or upon the banks of rivers, though smaller undines may choose to live under lily pads. Their appearance is similar to human beings in most cases, with the exception of those living in smaller streams or ponds. Undine clothing is shimmery, reflecting all the colors of water though green is typically the predominant color.
Every body of water is home to undines, from ocean waves, to rocky pools, to marshlands, to rivers, to lakes and ponds. Even waterfalls and fountains have an undine living in their midst.
Undines are ruled by Necksa. They are friendly toward humans and their presence has a strong influence on our emotional well-being. The moodiness of an individual can be traced to their elemental nature (such as when we say that a person is "all washed out"). Just as water can be beautiful in a fall or river, it can also be unattractive in a stagnant pool.
The activity of Undines is responsible for the vitality within all liquids - therefore they play a vital role in plant, animal, and human life. Undines appear to human most often in full human shape, as beautiful maidens.
Undines are seen as sensual and graceful in their movements, with very strong emotions. Undines are the most human and seductive of the four elemental types. They tend to be sympathetic and loving, and are most helpful in matters dealing with emotional issues, such as love and friendship, desire and lust.
According to a theory advanced by Paracelsus, an Undine is a water nymph or water spirit, the elemental of water. They are usually found in forest pools and waterfalls. They have beautiful voices, which are sometimes heard over the sound of water. According to some legends, undines cannot get a soul unless they marry a human man. This aspect has led them to be a popular motif in romantic and tragic literature.

A Ghost Of The Past
Name: Emi Maiha (blessed with beauty - dances of the waves)

Information on their previous life:
In her past life her name was Vailea, which means water that speaks. She lived off the in large penisula and often traveled up a great river that traveled into the penisula. Vailea was enchanted by humans she loved to swim up the river to a waterfall located by a small town. She would make the trip once a week and wait for the children to come for there morning water gathering.
She would swim just behind the waterfall and sing a melody for the children. It was a beautiful song she song and the children were often entranced by the song and found it difficult to leave the riverside, until their parents came calling and scolding them for staying so long.
Often times when the children would get a moment to relax and play they would come to the water and look for the singing. They'd spend much time looking for what made the water speak to them but they would never find it.
Time went by and she continued this routine for years. The children were growing up and many had stopped coming to the river, for they were far to busy. One however still came faithfully every week to hear the beautiful music. He would come before the children and climb into a tree to listen. The children would come and the music would start and he would be washed over by the feeling of wonder and enchantment.
That day was special and different. That day was the day that this boy, Haimona Wi, would swim in the river after the children were called away. It was the day he would nearly drown and it was the day that her would meet her. Vailea saved his life when he began to drown in the water, he'd come to as she lie him alongside the river.
He was instantly taken with her beauty and fell madly in love with her. They talked and before he left later that night he made her promise to return. And so their courtship began, he would meet her at the river everyday and they would talk over their day and she would sing for him. Slowly Vailea fell for the young human and after a nearly a years time past and just before winter, Haimona asked for Vailea hand in marriage. She gladly excepted and left her home in the waters to start a new life on land with her love.
They were happily married for two years and every week both would return to the river so Vailea could sing for the children. Going into the third year of there marriage she became pregnant and Vailea new very well what that meant. Upon bearing the child she would gain a soul and lose her immortality, but she was perfectly happy to do so for Haimona and so the little one, Noelani, was brought into the world.
Soon after Vailea began to age and she quickly warned her husband of Ondine curse. Haimona vowed he would never love another, but in the coming years, he eyes would glance a younger more beautiful women. It wasn't long before Haimona left Vailea for another, taking Neolani with him. He was so fearful of Ondines curse that he had his wife murdered in the hopes the curse would not take his life.
He didn't live more that 48 hours before the curse took affect and Haimona's life slipped away after closing he eyes for just a brief moment. Poor Neolani was left to fend for himself and disappeared into the forest never to be seen again.

Her Person And What She Likes
Personality from baby to adult:
Baby - She is calm baby, not very loud and doesnt cry often. She is very aware of the emotions of the people around her. She always comes to life and is very active when in water. She smiles at just about everything. She is shy and unfortable around people who have unclear motives.

Toddler - She is a pretty calm toddler as well, but not as quiet as she use to be. She is developing a love for music and will often hum loudly to any music she hears. She plays on the piano whenever she gets a chance. She still loves water and it seems as though the water loves her. She can swim, it is amazing because she was not taught. It just seems to come naturally. As she did when she was a baby she still has a big smile and like to show teeth as often as possible. She is only shy when meeting new people and will often hide from them until they seek her out or happen upon her.

Child - She is no longer a calm little one. Now she is absolutely full of energy and the water in the house respond her vibrant energy. She loves to swim and has decided to join the swim team, unfortunately she scares everyone because she can go under water and stay under for the whole of the race. She swims gracefully much like a angelfish and with the speed of a dolphin. She is obsessed with floating drops of water over to her or flicking them at her siblings, which gets annoying. She still loves music and is taking piano lessons. She sings quite beautifully. The oddest thing about her is she seems to make tons of kids cry, laugh uncontrollably, panic, and display an array of emotion more outrightly than normal.

Teen - She has seems to calm down once again, but she has her moments. She sometimes plays jokes on other moving bucket sized amounts of water and dumping them on the unsuspecting. The swim team is her passion and piano and singing have taken a backseat to it for now, even if she is a natural at all three. She has become rather lady-like besides being a bit of a trickster. She is intelligent and loves to write. She has control over her power with emotions but when she feels like someone needs a good cry or a long laugh she uses her powers. She does not like to see people upset and is always trying to help.
After learning about her past she was deeply hurt by her betrail in her past life and becomes a bit depressed. She cries often and sometime for no reason at all. She becomes a bit untrusting of men and vows not to get married and have children. She often dreams about the little boy she had and wonders what could have happened to him. You can see in her eyes that she wants to know. In spite of this she is inspired by her past life to write romantic stories, some with a tragic ending, but most end happily ever after.

Youth - As a youth she has started to get over the betrayal she went through in her past life. However, learning about her past has made her a very emotional person. She wears her emotions on her sleeve and expresses them readily whenever given the chance. She is beginning to trust the male species once again. Her writing has gotten much better and she wants to be a novelist when she graduates from college. She has been researching her former self's past life and really wants to find out if the little boy was okay.
She swims daily and is a graceful as a mermaid when doing so, she is considering trying out from the gaian olympics. She has taken a great interest in water ballet, she thinks it is a beautiful activity, and begins to take classes to learn water ballet. She often says it like the emotion in the ballet calls to her. She continues to sing and enjoys doing so while in the shower or in the bathtub. She often opens the windows so that others may hear her. she practices the piano daily, she has decided she would like to write her own song. Her days off being a trickster are over, the emotional responce of the reciever is not one she cares for all that much.

Adult - As an adult Emi writes constantly, her stories are full of magic and wonder. She usually had a dreamy expression on her face while she writes. Her emotions are moe in check now but she is still very emotional. She has finally realized making people express emotions, when they don't want to even if they need it is wrong.

Hair color: Black, not to dark however, with streaks of ocean blues and greens through her hair.
Eye colors: Her eyes are an ocean green, somewhat shiny and appear as though they have been soaked in waters.

Physical description From Wand-Adult:
Wand - The wand is made of coral from the ocean. The coral's color is that of soft pinks and oranges, as well as some white. At the top of the wand is a white clam shell with a dark cyan gem embedded in the center of it. At the bottom of the shell a kelp ribbon is tied with lily peddles extending downward from beneath the kelp ribbon.

Baby - As a baby Emi is a healthy, plump little girl. She hair has wavy curl which are short and close to her head. She has rosy read cheeks and fair skin. She is not wearing anything except for a small blanket that depicts an ocean scene on it. She is smiling a bright smile. She is wearing a gold charm bracelet with a gold sea shell on it.

Toddler - As a toddler Emi is a petite little girl. Her wavy hair has grown out a bit and resided just below her eyes. She wears a small seashell clamp in hair on the left side. Her skin is a little darker but still fair and she still has cute rosy red cheeks. She wears a cute little dress, that come about mid-way down her thigh and is ever so slightly semi-transparent. There are small ribbons tied below the bust and half way between the shoulder and the elbow. The sleeves are long and stops where her fingers. The dress is a light ocean green and appears shimmery and the ribbons are dark cyan and shiny. The dress is flowy and moves easily. She isnt not wearing any shoes for she doesnt care for them. Her charm bracelet now contains a pearl.

Child - As a child Emi remains petite. Her wavy curls have grown out even more and now drape over her shoulders. She has two braids on either side of her temple which are pulled around to the back of her head and connected together with a seashell clamp. The gems in her had and the one on her forehead have a slight glow to them now. The charm bracelet she wears now contains a waterlily charm. She also wears a gold necklace with a waterlily pendant hanging from it. She wears a dress that is dark cyan and fades to white near the bottom. The fabic is rather silky and flows as well. It has a thick sash below the bust that is a little darker than the dress itself. The dress is sleeveless and has a modest draping v-neck (as she is still a child) and extends to her knees. She still doesnt like to wear shoes, so she is barefoot.

Teen - As a teen Emi remains petite, but is beginning to get some curves about her and is fairly developed for a teenager. Her wavy curl now comes to about midback she has a seashell clamp in her hair on both side of her temple to keep her long curls out of her face. The gems she posess still contain the slight glow and she still wear the necklace with the waterlily pendant. Her charm bracelet now contains a gold charm shaped like a music note. She wears a shirt that has a draping v-neck, which is not very modest anymore, it has a ribbon below the bust and the shirt is self bares her mid-drift and ends at the ribbon. Her bottom is a skirt that stops about mid-thigh. The skirt is flowy and top on the skirt is the ribbon at the bottom of the shirt. Both the top and the skirt are ocean green and made of ever so slightly semi-transparent shimmery material. As it is not lady like to be barefoot, she wears a pair of strappy sandals.

Youth - Emi is still petite and nearing the end of her developement. She has ample curves and is very beautiful, making mmost mens heads turn at the sight of her. Her wavy curls hang down the lenght of her back. She has a few braids hanging throughout her hair with the small seashell clamps hanging at the top of two of the braids closest to her forehead the seashell clamps have a few strings of small pearls hanging from them. Her gems continue to glow and she still wheres her waterlily pendant necklace. She wears a dressy tank top with a draping neckline, the shist is lose and made of fabric that flows. It is a very oceany blue and has a ribbon about a inch from the bottom keeping the shirt in place. She wears a pair of kakhi flowing goucho type pants, only they are not gouchos and entend all the way down to her ankles. The pants a very flowing, just as the shirt, because the clothing breathes better and is easier to move in. She wears a cute pair of strappy sandles just as she did as a teen. Her charm bracelet contains another charm, remsembling the gems she has on her forehead and hands.

Adult - Emi is petite but curvy and voluptous. She wavy curls have grown down to her bottom and she is happy with the length. She has a seashell clamp in her hair on each side her temple, with a few strings of small pearls and ocean gems hanging from them. Her charm bracelet is now complete with her last charm of an ocean wave. Her gems continue to glow. She still wears her necklace with the waterlily pendant. She wears a dress that is a light shimmery green and slightly semi-transparent. The dress has sleeves with draping fabric which is bundled by ribbon midway down the bicep and again at the elbow. The sleeve is open, long and hangs to about midthigh. The sleeves have a loop around them that is worn and the wrist and a piece of fabric drapes down from the loop. The dress itself starts at the bust, is bundled below the bust and extends down draping at her feet. She still wears a pair of strappy sandals.

There's Magic In Her
Abilities:
Sea lungs - Emi has the ability to breathe under water. The ability depends upon how rested she is and how big the body of water is. The larger the body of water and the more rested she is the longer she can remain underwater. The maxium amount of time she can spend underwater is 3 hours, but she must be fully rested. This ability is developes in the child stage.
Hydromancy - Emi has the ability to move water without toucing it. She makes water lively and helps with the vitality of water. She can sense when a body of water is near. Water helps her gain strenght. This power begins to develope in the child stage but isnt very controlable until she is a teen.
Emotive Expressibility - When a person is around Emi there emotions are at their peak, people can control there emotional expressions when they are in their presence. Emi can turn this power off, but she likes to help solve problems so she uses this power the most and it annoys many people. If she is using this power against someone, it will lead to emotion overload and the person will pass out from exhaustion. This power developes in the child stage.
Invisibility - Emi has the ability to become invisible, but this power only works when she is in water and is of no use to her other wise. The power developes in the teen stage.
Immortality - Emi is immortal, but it comes with it restraints.

Weaknesses:
Compassion - Emi is very compassionate, which can sometimes cause a problem. she may not see when someone is decieving her and if she does she is too quick to forgive. She often gives her enemies the benefit of the doubt, which leads to her getting her.
Gained Soul - If she bears the child of a human man, she will gain a soul and lose her immortality.
Caustrophobia - Emi isn't to fond of enclosed spaces. She can handle them but if she is in to small a space for to long, she begins to panic. The panic can cause problems with her magic.

Personality: She is very loving and very protective. Children are her passion and she wants as many as possible. She is intelligent and has high standards when it come to education. She is very pacient when it comes to her children, but not so much if they are threatened. She is outgoing and friendly, loving to be around people. Despite all these wonderful things she doesnt remember names well and speaks her mind, whether or not you want her opinion. She is a mother first and very mothering to all in general.
Likes: Shizu loves music, she can play the piano and guitar. She loves to spare and teach proper sparring. She loves to teach in general and is rather good at it. Flying is her favorite hobby, but she also greatly enjoys archry.
Dislikes: Shizu is not to fond of disrespectful and irresponsible people. This is for people who are constantly so, not for the average mistake. She does not tolerate neglectful parenting nor abuse or any kind. However, she also doesn't like it when people do not discipline their children at all.

Good/Evil: good
Powers:
Flight - Shizu has large white angel wings which can retracted into her back, don't ask how, it magic I guess. Regardless of whether her wings are out or not she can fly, she is special in that way.
Energy weapons - She can create three weapons using her own energy. An energy sword, an energy dagger and energy balls[beam]. She also can put energy into things, but things melt and she doesnt have great control over the part of her power.
Teleportation - She can transport herself by particles from one place to another, however she has to have been there before and she can travel to great a distance. She may jump from city to city [close cities], but not from country to country [or cities to far from one another].
Phasing - She can phase through solid objects, basically walk through wall. She must be partially focused on the task otherwise she will walk into the wall and bump her head, or literally walk into the wall and get stuck for a minute.
Slow Growth - She is not an anyway immortal and can be killed, but by age eighteen she has almost stopped aging. She will remain visibly and physically the same for hundreds of years aging very slowly. This is just a Collistan trait.
Abilities: She is a very good archer and just as good with a sword.
Weapons: Her weapons include her energy beams/sword/dagger and her celestial bow and arrows.

History: Shizu is not from gaia orginally, she came here a little while back when she was eighteen. She is from the planet Collista and when she came to gaia her planet had been in a war the neighboring system. Her parents, the emperor and emperess of Collista, forced there only child to flee. It was there effort to save the bloodline which lead Shizu to gaia.
She traveled for quite sometime before she crashed on gaia. It caused quite a stink because it produced a fire in the forest where she crashed. However no one ever found knew it was her because never found any remains of her ship or anything. Shizu barely remembers her escape from the fire.
She quickly learned the ways of gaia and enrolled herself in a private school, which was a good thing as well as a bad thing. The school was full of vampires, demons, angels, humans and other races as well, which is common for gaia. Unfortunately the school was also constantly attacked and bumbarded leaving the students fighting for there lives. It was at this school however that Shizu met Fiction Angelus, her best friend and children's godmother, and Sky Tasumaki , her love. It was long before romance blossomed and the pair began thinking of marriage.
After the sort of graduated from there blown up school the two married and Sky, her demonic angel, gave her her wings. It wasn't long before Shizu began thinking about children, the two had many wonderful adventures together, but Shizu wanted a child, so she discussed it with Sky. The two agreed that they would adopt a child for now and Kaori entered there life.
After adopted Kaori there relationship went through a rocky period and fell apart for the first two years of her life. There loves was very strong though and the got back together. The both wanted more kids, so when the opportunity arrised to have a paintling baby they took it. While they waited for the small baby to come out of her tub, Sky went on a journey and returned with a girl, named Sky, who's soul he saved and name he took long ago. He said he'd finally found her body and gave her back her soul. Her parents died long ago so Sky wanted to rename her and have her become part of our family. Thus 12 year old Sora joined the family.
Sky was called away to war before little Aiko was born from her tub. A while went by with no word, then the family recieved notice Sky was missing in action. The family didn't want to believe he was dead, they were sad but the had to go on with the daily lives, with just there memories of Sky.
Despite not having a husband anymore Shizu still wanted more children and while Aiko was still rather young, just a month old, she went to a clinic that takes items, with emotional value and turns the into lifeforces so families can have babies, although they have no DNA resembling the parents. It was nine months later that Kiyoshi was born. The growing family settled into life quite nicely, but unexpectedly Shizu became the guardian of an adult Herald who was forced from her home and separated form her brother. Now the family is adjusting and life is good.

Pets: She has two cabbits. Their names are Kaori and Gemini. Kaori is the younger of the two, she is caramel with white fur in her ears and her tail is white. Gemini is the older of the two, she is black with grey fur in her ears and a grey tail. She now has several gaian pets, so many however they will not be explained here.
