When You think you have ALOT of gold and you go spending alot. I did, I thought I had around 10k ( stupid me )

And I went shopping for a new set of clothes and now i have 82 gold ! o.O Anyone else have a day like that?

I have a similar impulsive spending habit... Though not so much now, due to the fact I generally don't want to change anything (except for getting an Angelic scarg, and winged anklets... but what are the chances of getting those?).
But, yes... It's exactly what happened to me when housing came out... gonk

I find that it helps to conserve gold if you set cutoffs for spending. For instance, when I was new, I would stop spending if my gold got to 1000 because back then 1000 was enough for clothes that weren't pesant. But then again I love the pesant clothes because I find them cute. Anyway, I then set my next cutoff limit at 10,000. So I wouldn't spend so much gold that I went below that. My cutoff after that was 20,000 and at that point I really didn't have any items I desperately wanted. So I ended up getting up to 30,000 for housing..spent it all and earned it back again. Now my next cutoff is 50,000. I'm at about 43,000 right now.
