i wanted to keep it simple, since it was just practice. i feel pretty neutral about how it turned out, since my serious cging falls short. actually that's a lie i think it sux....... cging is hard for me emo
anyway, have at it, i would love some tips etcetc~

I think you should use both soft edged and hard edged shadows.

It's not too bad, but yeah like 2iyo said, try using some hard-edge brushes with the softer stuff.

I think that the hair is shaded too broadly - it's somewhere between cartoon chunk hair and realistically detailed, and i don't think it works.

Ditto'ing the call for hard-edged brushes. Too much use of soft-edged brushes makes the image look all mushy and ill-defined.
