Is that one of the books of that Lovecraft guy?
Yeah, everywhere I can find, says its fictional. But i've talked to atleast one who have said some of the spells have worked, so either she was completely bonkers, or it all depends on how you present things. If you are intending on contacting a spirit, you most likely will.

I've read it. It's based off of the work of H.P. Lovecraft. It's a nice mythology and such and maybe some of the stuff presented works. I don't know; I never tried any of it.
It sure was an interesting read though. I vaguely remember hearing how a lot of the stuff is based off of Sumerian this-or-that, so the stuff presented may have some power. I'm not inclined to bother with it anyway. Ritual magic was never my thing.

Lost Elf I haven't read it and I never will beacuse it's pure fiction when it claims to be real. Hey? Guess what? That's your opinion, not anyone elses. Its all on what you beleive. Don't say that. Athough it is based on H.P Lovecrafts work, that doesn't mean its fiction, for all we know, all fiction is real, atleast in the astral but thats what it is, brining in "fictional" beings into phyical form. I didn't ask if its fiction, I asked if any ones read it and practices the tome.

Its also one of those things where you have to see it to beleive it, like the astral. and yea, the solomon key is better cause it has a better description on what to do, i'm stuck right now and i'm just trying to find the right path.

In doing that they can focus on the specific thing instead of having millions of thoughts going off. Words don't have "magickal powers", it is the person using the energy.

THANK YOU, you answered a question I've had for a long time. "Why the hell do people bother with spells and fancy words and stuff when you can just do it without all that?" XD

XD For some people, they need the "all that" to get into the right mind set. Other people like the physical representation. Some people use the words and ritual to help focus and drive what they want. For others its part of a tradition with meaning and roots. Along those lines, whatever works for you works. On topic though, as stated by others, the Necromincron is a work of fiction based on Lovecraft. Certainly it could still work for you, but you're probably working with thought forms is all. Meh, like I said before, whatever works.

I haven't read it, so I may be completely wrong, but everything I have read about it, says that it is ficticious.
Not that that fact should stop anyone from finding it helpful in terms of workings. Susan Price's The Ghost Drum, is fiction, but the concepts in it pretty much defined how I worked with magic for a long time, because a lot of more scholarly works (for want of a better term) were just too far over my head
