I just realized, how great I have it to live on the West Coast, which is the best place to experience the International J-Rock scene. J-Rock bands constantly come to the West Coast, specifically the Bay Area to play. There are a lot more J-Rock fans on the West Coast than on the East Coast. However I do feel a bit sorry for the fans on the East Coast who never get to go to concerts regularly. One big one that's coming up is of course "J-Rock Revolution" and I've heard many regrets from people living on the East Coast. I was just wondering, where the majority of fans really lie. Are there more on the East, than the West coast?

I live on the West Coast but I live in UT and normally the J-rocker go to LA not Vegas, but I did see Mana’s picture when I was at the Mandalay Bay in Vegas, I freaked when I saw in and my parents just stared at me like I was Crazy lol xd (oh, btw I only live an hour and 45mins from Vegas, so we go there a lot, most of the time just to go out and eat)

That's a big generalization.
The east coast has A LOT of jrock fans, and not just VK fans either. The New York music scene constantly draws a lot of incredible international talent from overseas, and we have a very large fan base here.
Yes, many bands come to the West Coast (its closer, cheaper air fare, assumption that there's a big enough ex pat population that would be a good demographic, perhaps, but its mostly the logistics and the money), but many bands also come to the East such as L'arc en ciel, Mucc, Melt Banana (they come here a lot), The Pillows, etcetc...
You dont need to feel sorry for us east coasters.
Yeah Jrock Revolution is happening on the West Coast, so its great for them. If they get a big response, the bands will have more incentive to travel further, ne?
Besides, I'm plotting to get myself to LA at the end of May anyway. ::shrugs::

Well, maybe. I know most of the Asian community J-Rock fans live on the West Coast though. The caucasian fandom might be spread out more over the entire country, since they access J-Rock mostly through internet means while here it's more of just part of our culture.

What makes you think that? Not all Asians are Japanese and are exposed to the Japanese music scene. And the east coast has a HUGE population of Asians (hello...largest Chinatown in the country?)

I'm neither East Coast, nor West Coast. I'm rigggghhhhttt up the Southern Center. I'm in Texas... the bottom of it... which is gay. As far as I know, we've only had to Anime Conventions, I missed both. And we've had one J-rock band play, that would be Dir en grey. Hell no am I missing that! So i'm pretty far up the J-rock/Vis.-Kei scene, except the bands that come to the Anime Con.'s which I always want to go to, but I never have money.
And, believe it or not, very, very few people are even relatively into anything Japanese, except my immediate friends. I know it's not saying alot, I just kinda expected it to be a little more... frequent here.

When you say that bands hit the east coast, you really mean that they hit New York. Much further south, and you'll almost never see anyone. For instance, Georgia has had Dir en grey, once, and that's about it.

For instance, Georgia has had Dir en grey, once, and that's about it. Boston and Conneticut and Pennsylvania often see gigs as well, though when bands venture to the East Coast, NYC is invariably a stop because it would be logistically silly if they didn't strike one of the most major cities on the East coast for culture and music. Plus the Japanese population there is sizeable.

I remember I heard D'espairsRay was first playing in Texas, and I was so disappointed I couldn't go, but then they did their U.S. tours... South by Southwest is held in Texas everyear and that attracts a crapload of Japanese artists. the folks at SXSW put on the Japan Nite U.S. tour every year, bringing a unique lineup of really great jrock bands all over the country.
