Missed the beginning (again) but yay! It's not cancelled! And it's early next week!
-I have mixed feeling about Novice Hame still looking after the Face of Boe, especially with the gun. -Hm..being able to buy emotions would make drama a hell of a lot easier -If he still had his scooter, he could make it fly, and then he could chase after them. Maybe. -Aww..I want a kitten! -These cars aren't that exciting are they? They could at least decorate them a bit. -This episode is a bit on the risky side, don't you think? -Martha gonna die -Is Novice Hame in mourning? Or is the black uniform the new ninja get up? (Okay, so it looked black, it's actually grey, but still.) -Those are some fat off crabs -Okay, now I feel sorry for her. -Number of times Martha's nearly died from lack of oxygen: Two. Let's see if it can get to five before the end of the series. -Don't die yet! We need to know the secret! (Well, I think I know it, but we'll never be sure otherwise.) -That one city full of very good singers.
(Happy 727th Episode everybody!)

The Macra are one of the old enemies re-appearing by the way biggrin Quote: The Macra appeared in the 1967 Second Doctor story The Macra Terror by Ian Stuart Black and they are an intelligent, giant crab-like species from an unnamed planet colonised by humanity in the future. In appearance, they resemble giant vast, lumbering crustaceans with extended eyes on stalks and formidable, enormous claws. The Macra invaded the control centre of the colony and seized the levers of power without the colonists - including their Pilot - knowing what had happened. Thereafter the Macra only appeared at night, after the humans were in their quarters respecting a curfew. Lacking vocal cords, they presumably communicate by some form of telepathy and have strong hypnotic powers which can alter human perception and affect the brain. They also have the ability to ensure messages are vocalised through electronic apparatus such as television or sensor speakers. Both these tools were used to keep the human colonists suppressed and subjected on the Macra planet. The humans instead believed they were blissfully happy. This provided a cover for the Macra to use the colonists as miners in a vast gas mine. The gas produced was deadly to the miners but vital to the Macra, enabling them to move more quickly and rejuvenating their abilities. The Second Doctor effected a revolution on the Macra planet and helped an engineer an explosion in the control centre, destroying the Macra in charge and presumably dooming the species. David Tennant has indicated that a monster from the Troughton Era will return in the 2007 series. It was discovered to be the Macra, and they appeared in the episode Gridlock. In the episode, the Macra are found to be alive on the surface of New Earth where they could survive the planet's toxic atmosphere. They are shrouded at the bottom where they snatch the flying cars and track them through the lights they generate. The Doctor theorized that the Macra had developed into their current form where they almost apper nothing more then feral beings. No explanation is given on the Macra's current fate except that they were referenced as being billions of years old who developed a mighty empire.

Quote: * The Doctor repeats the phrase "New New New New New New New New New New New New New New New York", as he had said in New Earth. * This episode reveals the "great secret" promised to The Doctor by the Face of Boe in New Earth - that he is not the only remaining Time Lord ("You are not alone"). However, the Doctor denies this, possibly refering to a previous episode where he says "I would know in here" tapping his forhead. * This episode is set in the year 5,000,000,053: 30 years after New Earth. This is the furthest known point into the future that the TARDIS has ever travelled within a Doctor Who episode. * This is the third Doctor Who episode to be set after the year five billion and to feature the Face of Boe, following series one's The End of the World and series two's New Earth (although the Face did feature on a news article in The Long Game and was mentioned in Bad Wolf). Gridlock is also the second episode to feature the Sisters of Plenitude who previously appeared in New Earth. * Novice Hame (who first appeared in New Earth) returned in this episode, somewhat aged from her previous appearance. This was also proven in the trailer for Doctor Who Confidential episode 3 and Totally Doctor Who. * The episode marks the first reappearance of the large crustacean Macra race. The Doctor refers to their vast gas mines which enslaved humans, a reference to the Second Doctor serial The Macra Terror, remarking that the Macra have "devolved" from their previous, more intelligent, state. * There is no appearance of the Arc Word Mr. Saxon. * The Doctor talks about his home planet, Gallifrey for the first time since its destruction in the Time War So, like, no more saxon this week either :O

The Last Lord of Time Are threads Mergeable in here? If not I'll just copy my thread in to here and you can delete the other one (that was posted first ninja ) if you want. Yeh, The other one was posted first. I didn't realise it was made until I'd posted this, and I had to go back to doing my homework so I didn't do anything about it. I'll just leave both of them cause it's two in the morning and it doesn't really matter anyway.
