A well-built or rather muscular stallion stood at the edge of the cliff looking down. It was far down but his heart did not leap at the sight, no he was much to old for that now. He remembered being shoved off this very cliff for his first flight. His neck lifted so he could see the twinkling starts in the night sky. It was beautiful, the wind blew through his mane like a reminder that it was time to fly. Erik was out to this night, but he did not know where. They did not keep tabs on each other and he thought that was good thing. He could not see his relationship with Erik being like the one Cynara had with Cyrus. He shook his head at the thought, remembering where he was. The waves crashed at the seas below colliding with the sand, yes he remembered this place. With one swift motion those large ebony wings were out stretched and with one leap he fell off the cliff diving towards the bottom and twirling slightly one might say he was showing off now but that was not the case. The ground grew closer and as one were to think he would hit his wings moved clearing him of the danger and thrusting forward so he glided just above the ground and soon over the waters. He let his hooves touch the very tips of it. Slightly getting his legs what but not enough to make him care.

He rampaged over the waters for numerous minutes until he came to a landing at the beach shore looking out humming a slight song to himself. A lulluby that he had heard once but it was so mournful sometimes he wished he never heard it all yet its tune caught him and swept him away making him long for it until he hummed its sorrowful song. He hadn't noticed any others while he had made his midnight flight.

She wasn't the most muscular of horses, her sleek form was almost built more for looks than for flight or running. What she lacked in form she made up for in brains and courage, she could outsmart the best of them, and spent much of her time thinking.

Standing along the sea shore Anirniq's eyes focused on the fish that swam in the shallows. Her eyes flicked back and forth from one tiny rainbow colored fish to another. Raising her gaze she caught sight of a large black and white forum gliding through the air, but before she had time to call out he had landed further down the shore line.

"Hey..uh..you there!" She called, her musical voice fluttered through the air, "What was..what were you doing?" She had never seen anyone besides her father do something like that in the air..and she had certainly never flown.

(Sorry it took so long, and don't mind me. I've never rped a Soquili, if you think I'm doing anything wrong be sure to tell me. ^__^)

The stallion arched his neck to look back at the sound of a harmonious voice. He usually wouldn't care to look back but her voice was, sweet. Odd he hadn't met anyone with that sort of tone and he couldn't seem to let go of it. But as he turned their was more to this mare than he had thought, she wasn't like Gaiacenta muscular and let people know her brute strength. She seemed reserved and her form was more slender and more stunning than anything other.

His cool eyes watched her as she inquired him about his flight. "You mean, flying?" he questioned back. The ebony braids fell over his masked side of his face as he stepped forward closer to her. The pale moon reflecting her markings from her dark coat. He stopped far enough away that he didn't have to yell from a distance but far enough away that he wasn't invading her space nor she his.

[[It's alright. ^^ Your doing fine. <3]]

"Yes, Flying?" she questioned and stomped her feet excitedly, pleased that he had stepped forward instead of her having to initiate further contact. She had not seen another Soquili in sometime, not since she was a foal it seemed. Boldly, because she was quite inquisitive she stepped a bit closer a let out a snort. His white coat made a look of discomfort cross her face she had never seen someone so...well plain, he was not the standard color of brown or black she had seen before. The white stood out above all else in her mind, of course if it was daylight she would have noticed him in full and still have been intrigued.

"I've seen my father, but I guess I never asked. how do you...?" she started and stopped before asking too many questions, "I am Anirniq, and I guess I get a bit ahead of myself."

He frowned as her expression changed as his coat came into full view under the moon's silver light. She even had the audacity to snort at him. "I try to be, polite as some say and you snort at me?" he shook his head not understanding her as soon as she went off again about her father, flying and her name.

He thought it was best to be a gentleman as his etiquitte teacher would have said; she was brilliant and he could actually stand her. Usually others tended to irritate him or piss him off to want to be an anti-social butterfly. But she taught him things he needed to learn, "Ares," he replied shortly. He rose a brow, "You have wings and you have never flown before?" he wondered if it had anything to her being a half breed. Perhaps her guardian was the one that lacked wings and she had never learned. He typically wouldn't have given her the benefit of the doubt but he was now.

"I didn't mean to be rude, it is a pleasure to meet you, Ares," she made a haphazard attempt at a bow and then turned her attention back to his appearance, "No, I've never flown and I obviously have wings." She fluttered and extended her multicolored wings. She was without a doubt quite young and knew little of the world around her, she could probably learn a thing or two from Ares.

"The snort was more out of suprise," she added hastily.

"I suppose it was a matter of not being taught," her voice retained the flutey musical voice as she spoke, "I would assume since I have wings I could too."

She was aware she was probably coming across as an idiot and the heat rose to her face. She knew that birds could fly, bees and other bugs too but horses? Certainly they're meant to stay on the ground.

Snorting tended to be rude, obnoxious and even disheartning or rather what you did when you were agitated with someone or didn't like them. He felt his anger rise and then fall back...it had never fallen back before and he found this odd but he didn't take time to think on it. He nodded his head in his own greeting, he hadn't bowed a day in his life. He wasn't like his father. But his intentions weren't to be impolite either. She seemed to be a bit younger than he but still a mare.

His cool eyes watched her for a moment and as soon as he realized she was being honest he continued. His silky voice seemed to flow over one as the wind ran through the leaves of the trees, caressing each vein upon it. "If you have wings, you are mean to fly," she was much smaller than him now that he realized it and it was just another observation he had made instead of analyzing the poor girl. "Do you want to learn how to fly?" He of course wasn't going to push her off a cliff like it was done to him as a colt, that would be cruel. But perhaps he could help out the little mare.

He didn't look at her like a moron though, she clearly was not and just wanted to learn more on a subject that she was indeed clueless about but he wasn't going to reject her for that. The fact she blushed hit him in an odd way, but he dismissed it however. He had met many that seemed to flush from under their coats at odd conversations.

She bobbed her head in a pleased fashion, happy that he acepted her answer and thought for a moment. Was it possible for her to fly? Maybe she was not strong enough and could not complete such a task?

"Would it matter if my parents are not both flyers, then? I am part unicorn," she stated the obvious, her blunt nature was closely related to her inquisitive one. Questions and information if it is going to be said should be thrown out there and taken in, not everyone of course shares this view.

"Do you think I could...?"

He looked to her, "My mother is a normal soquili, my father is wind." His eyes seemed to shine a bit brighter, "It shouldn't matter," he replied with a smirk. He eyed her as he was thinking very seriously, but he was actually seemed to be joking with her. Something very unusual for Ares to do. Ah well, "I have faith in you, I'm sure you could." He thought it was comical how the mare stated she was part unicorn when it was quite obvious with her tail and horn but whom was counting?

"I suppose everyone has a mother and father then?" she was so naive when it came to the world, how would she fair against someone who was out to harm her? She was quite sure that he wouldn't, we was nice thus far even if he had called her rude.

"So..you'll teach me to fly?"

"Everyone that is born has a mother and father, yes. But not all mothers and fathers are there for their childeren." he replied hastily. "My mother didn't have a chance to take care of me and my father didn't give her a chance..." he looked to the skies, wondering why he just shared this with a complete stranger. Perhaps thats why, he wouldn't probably see her again.

"Anyways, in other words yes I can teach you how to fly." He'd hate to see her on her own. He wondered what would happen when she encountered danger...then again maybe he didn't want to know. "You know how to move them, I'm assuming." he was joking with her again. As he flexed his own wings, out.
