mem·o·ry - [mem-uh-ree] –noun, plural -ries.
1. the mental capacity or faculty of retaining and reviving facts, events, impressions, etc., or of recalling or recognizing previous experiences.
Memories are a precious thing, holding onto them is important. Writing them down even more so, each person has their own set, whether they be good or bad or even both. The cruel world thrust him into new situations, turning both their lives upside down, bringing about the good and bad. So sometimes it's good to recollect.
This is a collection of those memories.

mainly this RP is about the happens of the last twenty years of the Goblin Court--the time since Macy became Jareth's adopted son. This was created for my own amusement, and perhaps to bug Sho into joining, lol.
In His Memories
anyone can join, remember this is the past.

It was worrisome. Shiayla was sat in her home, looking over a letter she had recieved from Jareth. She always told him her worries, and right now her worries lay with her son. Macy was curled up asleep with his father, both outside on a hammock set out on the cabin decking. Currently they were in a small village of Unicorns her brother was cheif of, they all accepted Murdoth and Macy.
'he was coming out here?? or isn't he??'she thought, Jareth always made his letters so cryptic and she didn't know if he said 'visit me' or 'I'm coming to visit'. Frowning she lowered the parchment and placed it on the countertop, her gaze drifting outsdie to where her love and their child slept, peacefully and oblivious to the world.

Jareth long since left the castle, after the funeral that had been held for his father the previous morning he felt the need to get away for a while. It seemed that it didn't matter how much you prepared for things, you were never entirely ready for them. He found this to be even more true in his mother's case, and though the Queen Mother had spoken beautifully of her departed husband and put on a brave but saddened face for her people, but he could feel her pain and also her relief that his father had finally found peace after nearly three hundred years of madness. His father had named him Prince Regent a few years into his illness, something Jareth had neither wanted or had been ready for, but fifty years ago he abdicated completely, letting his only son be crowned king in his place. So after the old king's tomb had been firmly locked up, Jareth had replied to Shiayla's letter to say that he was indeed going to see her. He had taken his favoured form of travel, as he flew over the mountains on snowy white wings, until he found the village his friend had mentioned, landing with a graceful swoop outside the small house.

By that time Macy was up and drawing on a peice of parchment in bright pink. He was sat on the deck, his father and mother inside cooking. Currently his picture looked like nothing but one big patch of scribbles, but he looked intense as he did, his little tongue poking out his mouth in concentration as he kept colouring. The unigon flicked his ears and looked up when he heard something and his gaze met that of the Goblin King, though he didn't know it.
"who'zit??" he asked curiously, cocking his head to the side as he gazed at the stranger. His four year old mind processed all the people he knew, this strange man wasn't known. Shiayla came out of the cabin to get Macy and stopped when she saw Jareth. "you know, writing more easily would allow me to prepare Jareth" she scolded playfully, eyebrow arched as she stood with one hand on her hip.

Jareth smiled at the child, he had yet to meet Macy but his mother certainly hadn't exagerated about him in her letters. The boy was adorable, if a little conspicuous. The horns that defines unicorns and dragons were both present, leaving no doubt about what he was. It saddened him that such a sweet child would never be accepted. "Well I said I'd see you, and now I'm here." he said irritably, but there was no malice in his voice.

Shiayla bent down and Macy got up, happily being scooped into his mothers arms, he snuggled himself comfortably and looked at Jareth, the same curious look on the Goblin King. "hmm, well it's a good job we always cook extra for meals then isn't it??" she said, talking to him like a mother to a growing child.
"who'zit??" he asked excitedly, a grin spreading onto his face. Shiayla smiled and laughed softly, running a hand through Macy's hair. "Macy, this is King Jareth, say hello" she explained in a motherly tone, his smile dropped a little. A king?? "h-hewwo..." he greeted, eyes downcast and voice soft with slight fright. "good boy, go see daddy" she said, putting him down, he turned quickly and picking his picture up held it out to Jareth. "for Jarif" he said quickly.

Jareth took the picture and smiled at it appraisingly like it was the greatest work of art in the world. "I shall treasure it." he said with a playful wink. His gaze returned to the child's mother, she had worked so hard to keep her family safe, he truly wished there was something more he could do to help. "I'm glad you've found somewhere safe at last." he said, although he knew the sanctuary would probably be short lived. "But you must know that you'll always be welcome at the castle."

Macy grinned and ran into the house to go find his dad, Shiayla watched him go and let a breath out when the Unigon was gone.
"I thankyou Jareth but I will not drag the Goblin Kingdom into my troubles" she paused a few seconds later and held a hand out for him to take "the village nearby got raided by the Dragon army...that's why I worte you that letter...so you could meet Macy, and maybe answer a request" she answered softly, letting her gaze flick up to meet Jareth's. The Unicorn was worried exceedingly, and it showed in her eyes. She smiled and beckoned him inside.
