An rich american man has financed the crossbreeding of a mare and a hippopotamus. The first bady of this new species called "ziphorse" is born in secret in a laboratory. It is called Zippy and was introduced to the international press last month. It has allready managed to dive very deep. Like its father it can close nostrils and its ears. The aim is to create an animal which could help sea rescuers. It's very incredible!

I always thought..That maybe is somebvody crossed a horned animal and a horse that the unicorn could become real again...Hell, if that, crossing a hippo and a horse is possible than why not a horned animal and a horse?!

Okay, I've been searching for anything on it and haven't found anything. If it was released then wouldn't it be big big news and shown everywhere or something? Where did you hear about it?

There is the Zonkey, or the Zorse. The Zonkey started when a pony mare and a Zebra stallion were put together. The mare gave birth to a foal with striped legs and looked like a Zebra cross. This may have been the same way the Zorse was made.

It's physically impossible. The two don't share the same amount of chromosome needed to preduce and offspring.
No money in the world can alter the chemical makeup to two animals.
We as humans have 48 chromosomes, we get 24 from our mother, and 24 from our father. Horses have 32(?) they get 16 chromosomes from each other their parents. Hippos' have somewhere up in the 100s' of chromosomes. So yeah. It's just not possible.

Thats not possible. Hippos and horses can't breed because they're not related to eachother in the animal kindom.
