He'd learned his lesson the hard way. An almost broken leg, more bruises than he could count, and a sound knock to the head had managed to rattle some sense into him. The injuries had kept him away from home longer than he'd intended. He didn't want his father seeing him like that. He was suppose to be strong and he was suppose to be a good son and he'd been neither of those.
Eventually he knew that if he didn't return that his father would come looking for him and that would be worse. So he'd headed back toward the little clearing near the river where his family usually was. At least if he was there then maybe he could find his father and apologize for being gone. If he was lucky he wouldn't get asked where he was.
How was he suppose to explain to his father that he'd picked a fight with something big and nasty and had gotten hurt?

He wasn't by the clearing but, not far from that, was the river where he stood, guarding over two foals who he had promised to take on an 'adventure'. One seemed far more impressed than the other but that was always the case. "Careful there, Wylie. Don't stick y'face too far into th'watah now."
Wylie... There was one in every group, out of the two he had, that reminded him far too much of himself. Wylie was this one and the last... Sedi. He sighed softly, giving his head a slow shake as his thoughts drifted towards the son that had taken off because of something that he'd thought of as silly.
He had thought of going to look for him once or twice but, knowing his own spirit just as he knew Kitara's, he'd figured that their son was doing just fine wherever he was. He'd come home when he was ready to and, when he did, they would have to have a nice, long talk. Just because the family had extended didn't mean he was going to go about forgetting any other part.

He nosed at a few plants that almost smelt like his family before he headed through the trees. His family wasn't there which meant that his father was probably with the Green Lady. Her and his .... his siblings. More of them.
He shook his head as he pushed a few branches aside and saw his father by the water. There were indeed two foals around his legs. The did look like the pretty Green Lady and he snorted softly. Stupid father going off with someone else, someone he liked too.
His ears swiveled around when he heard a noise behind them. "Dah....." He hadn't gotten as close to the water as his brother for too long. It tasted good and it was cool but he wouldn't be caught splashing around in it or trying to stick his face in the stuff. He shuffled closer to his Dah as he eyed the other big thing.

He turned his head to follow Dodger's gaze, taking a defensive stance as his nose caught scent of an unfamiliar stallion... He snorted, taking another breath before he realized that the scent really wasn't all that unfamiliar. His eyes softened, shoulders falling slightly as he relaxed. "Sedi."
He continued to splash around for a bit before he realized that no one was paying attention to him anymore. Snorting he scampered up the side of the bank, skidding to a halt and nearly knocking into Dodger's hind legs as he did so. "Da! Da! What's that?!"

"So day came out huh?" He didn't really like the way the blue and green foal was looking at him but he was probably weird looking to them. It was a good bet they hadn't seen anyone other than their parents and the two sisters.
He huffed at his brother. "Watch it." He took a few steps away from the other just in case he decided to do something else stupid and get him caught up in it too. "What's a Sedi?"

"Oui... Only been wanderin' 'round for a couple o' days now. Already causin' jus' as much trouble as you an' Beau when you was little." He nodded slowly before tilting his head to give Dodger's shoulder a gentle nudge. "Sedi is a brother... Like Wylie there only bigger an' older."
"He's not gonna be bigger f'ever!" His backside wriggled as he gave a little hop before butting against his father's leg. He leaned against the older stallion, starring up at Sedi in awe. "Wow. He is big. Is he like you, Da? Huh? Huh?"

"Can't get into as much trouble as me." He shook his head slightly and laughed. There was no way that anyone could be as much trouble as him. That was his name after all. His eyes turned to the green foal as he started talking. "I'm gonna be bigger dan ya for a long time."
His ears twitched as his brother started asking questions again. At least if Wylie did it then he didn't have to but he still got to hear the answers. "Why don't he look like us?" He'd figured out that the three of them looked like their Mama and Dah even if different but this Sedi didn't look like Mama at all.

"'Cause Ah'm his Da' but your Momma's not his Momma." He nodded slowly as he turned, making sure that his next words were directed specifically at his eldest son. "But that don't mean Ah care 'bout him any less an' that don't make him any less part o' dis family we got."
After addressing Dodger's question he glanced down so that he could answer Wylie's. "Sedi's alot like me... Prob'ly more than he wants t'be an' more than Ah'd like t'admit... Ain't that right, Sedi?"
He listened to his father's words and, for once, didn't say anything afterwards. Instead he turned his head waiting to hear what Sedi would say. Wasn't it a good thing to be like Da?

"Yea .... das probably right." Though he would bet his Dah didn't go picking stupid fights when he was younger. He still didn't really like that Remy had two families in two different places but maybe, just maybe, he could get used to it.
He looked down at the green foal and smiled. "Das why I get in so much trouble."
His face scrunched slightly as he thought about that. He didn't really get it since he hadn't met anyone but Mama that Dah liked. "Are we gonna meat Sedi's Mama?" He looked up at Remy after a moment.

"My momma says I'm gonna be jus' like Da." He grinned as he looked up at the large stallion. "You kinda look like Tanwen." He turned back to his father. "Don't he, Da? He's got white hair an' glowy eyes an' blue on 'is coat. Jus' like Tanwen."
"D'at he does, Wylie. 'Course, that's 'cause Tanwen looks like me." He nickered softly as he dropped his head down to give the green foal a gentle nudge before turning towards Dodger. "Ah'd like you to... Some day."
Sighing softly he let his eyes close, opening them to glance up at the sky. "Wylie, Dodger... Ah think Ah hear your momma callin' you. Y'think y'can follow th'river back to tha lake?" It wasn't that far, of course... No great distance that Rogue would get too upset about. "Ah'll be along soon... Gonna talk to Sedi a bit."

"Tanwen? .... oh! The other basket." He remembered there being three of them. So Tanwen must be the one that wasn't here now. He had been thinking of sneeking off again to wait for Remy to come find him again when his father told the foals to leave.
So he wasn't going to get out of it now.
"Least she's gotta be pretty." He snorted slightly before he turned around back toward the river. He knew how to get home. It was the same way they'd come and that was beside the water.
"Long a Wylie don't do anything stupid can get home." He nodded and trotted off slowly. If his brother had even part of a brain he'd come along too since Dah said so.

"I'm not gonna do nothin' stupid." He snorted softly as he trotted after Dodger, dipping his head to n** at his brother's side before pulling off ahead of him. He knew where he was going just fine... 'Course, he knew not to go too far ahead of Dodger. Momma'd be mad if either of them came back alone but if they came back together that'd be okay.
He waited for the two colts to make their way down along the river, watching them disappear into the woods before turning to his eldest son. "Sedi..." He didn't even know where to begin.
His brow furrowed slightly as he looked his son over. Sedi was a stallion now. He'd grown up from the foal that had first emerged from a basket that had seemed too tiny to house a growing colt. Something about him had even changed since he'd taken off what... Almost a month ago? "Y'back for good now?"

"Ya ... back fer good now." he nodded and hoped that his father didn't notice anything too obvious. All the bruises had gone and the one cut he had faded and he didn't limp anymore so he should be safe.
"Shouldn't'ave run off like dat. Still not sure ah like that ya stole Rogue but ..... i guess she likes ya." If she liked his Dah then it was pretty obvious that she wouldn't like him like that.
"You are too. Always do something stupid." He huffed and followed after his brother. Wylie always got himself into something so he'd do it now too. At least he knew better than to go off alone. Mama got really upset if they did that.

"You tell me... How'd Ah steal somethin' that nevah b'longed t'you in tha first place?" He snorted softly, trying hard not to smile. "Y'right though... Y'shouldn't've run off like that. Ah was worried 'bout you."
He looked his son over again. At first glance he didn't notice anything out of place but as he looked closer he saw a spot where it seemed as if soft fuzz was just now growing back in. His eyes narrowed slightly as he looked up at the younger stallion. "What did you do while you was gone?"

"Ah don't know but ya did." He snorted and shook his head. Remy'd stolen her and that was that. At least he'd agreed that he'd drop it even if he didn't really want to.
"Ah ... wandered 'round. Tha's all." He didn't really want to tell his father who and what he'd gotten into a fight with. Remy would be mad at him and he'd just gotten home and didn't want to be in trouble.
