Tame was making the most of his returning strength and was sitting in the shade of an old oak tree on the edge of the park, watching a group of kids play rugby. He had never really been into sports but now that his arm was encased in plaster, and itching horribly, he felt jealous of them and wished he could go out and enjoy himself like that. But there was no point in feeling sorry for himself just yet, it was only a broken arm after all. The Orb in his hand glowed happily wih it's insamely bright colours. "Maybe it likes the sunshine." Tame thought aloud to himself.

Nihls, walking through the park himself, with his head down and his hands in his pockets, one boney hand resting on the orb in his pocket, which he'd spent part of the morning retreiving from it's creative jaunt under the furniture while he was trying to practice. In an very -alive- gesture it had jumped off his side stand, miraculously not broken, knocked over his music stand and proceeded to roll under the credenza, scattering sheet music. He'd given up after it had run off twice more, for lack of better way to describe it, and lost two important pages of music behind the book case, which was going to take some creative retreival with a coat hanger later. But for now it seemed to be considerably more content, or at least it was staying in his pocket, seeming to stir slightly every so often. Nihls looked rather as though his drab attire was capable of actually making the day less sunny, his dull greyed hair wild and loose around the collar of an equaly gray coat with patched elbows and frayed cuffs. Truth be told, he had better coats that still looked just as tuned to the idea of begging people to overlook him, but this one was his favorate. It was worn into such submission that it was comfortable, and the pockets were big enough for his hands -and- the orb. And in guilty pleasure, a few semi soft caramels, one of which he stopped to unwrap and put in his mouth as he looked around, peering over the rim of small, nose pinching shades. "...I'd offer you one but as far as I know you haven't got a mouth." he noted, glancing down toward his pocket as unobtrusively as possibly, which made the orb flicker a little more brightly. Sulking? Amused? "...But then again you've surprised me already....several times. Please don't chew through my pocket if you -do- have a mouth...." He stuffed the empty candy wrapper in his side pocket, not the one with the orb, and with his other hand, lifted the orb out of his pocket for a moment, his grip on it maybe a little more cautious lest, for all he knew, it sprout wings and fly off to attack park dogs. Or just mess with their minds. He had no explination for that kind of attention....though the orb in the light swirrled inside with what he was guessing...very loosely, might have been a little bit of a thrill.

The young man's theory about the orb enjoying the light seemed to be correct as it cooed in a way that sounded a little overexcited and practically jumped out of his hand and proceeded to bouncyroll down the grassy hill. Bouncyroll was a word Tame had invented to describe how Abeo moved. It never just bounced or rolled, it always had to do both like it was overcompensating for something or it was in an exceptionally good mood. He had no idea why it would do something like this. The little orb had barely left his side since he found it in the hospital. But maybe he hadn't let it get enough exercise or something, but that was a stupid idea, this wasn't a dog he was thinking of, he didn't even know what it was!
"Hey! Get back here! People aren't supposed to see you!" the boy called worriedly, scrabbling clumsily to his feet and wincing at the pain as his sides were stretched. He sped down the hill, almost tripping on his overly baggy jeans, his plaster encased arm waving stiffly as he half ran, half hobbled after his new "friend".

The shout caught Nihls attention, jerking his head that direction as though he'd been drawn on a string...and in all honestly wasn't quite sure what to make of what he was seeing, since it seemed entirely too coincidental to his own morning. A young man with his arm in a cast, charging pell mell down the hill after...not a child...not a dog....nothing so mundane....but an very very lively and brightly colored orb spinning toward his general direction at high speed. "You have got to be k...hey!" His own orb jerked free from his distraction slackened grip, dropping onto the grass and twirling off to one side, like a child spinning in circles just because it could. "Don't!" he protested, making a furtive lunge for the thing, trying to keep one eye on the charging young man, so he could try -not- to be in his headlong charge.

Tame finally managed to catch up with the wayward orb and made a lunge for it, in a vain attempt to catch the darn thing while it was still in mid air. What was going on? It had been as good as gold until only a few minutes earlier. Why would it want to run away now? Had he done something wrong?
Thoughts scrambled in his head as he hit the ground and remembered all too quickly why he had enjoyed a fairly long stay at the hospital only a few days ago. His already bruised ribs would no doubt become slightly worse as the wind was knocked out of him. He also remembered why he had never liked team sports of the ball throwing variety when he was at school.
Abeo rolled around in a little circle, making a noise that sounded suspiciously like giggling, but it was not alone as there was another equally colourful orb nearby. The young man also realised that the thing he had landed on was certainly not grass, but looked an awful lot like a human being.
This was not turning out to be the best of days.

"OOPH!!!!" Nihls made an explosively startled sound as the young man bareled into him, cast and all thudded them both to the ground, barely a hands breath away from his own orb, which seemed to be fraternizing with the other, multicolored one, and.......giggling. It sure sounded like giggling anyway. Blasted smug thing.... He sputtered slightly, trying to catch his own breath from underneath the casted young man, fumbling around as he realized his shades had jumped ship...literaly, and were lying on the grass in front of him. "....Ordinarily.......hello...is sufficient....but I suppose...it couldn't be avoided...." He grumped, in an winded fashion from the ground.

"Oh dear God! I am so sorry, sir!" Tame babbled apologetically, as he clumsily got to his feet, ignoring the pain in his ribs for a moment and attempting to help the other man up. At least the person he had landed on was not screaming or accusing him of assault. "I-I got distracted and I wasn't looking where I was going." he tried to explain nervously. Running into random strangers, was not exactly a sensible way to pass the time. He looked at the ground again, and realised that he hadn't been seing double, there really was another orb. Although this one was slightly different, it was more purple and had a different symbol inside it.

"No no...." Nihls waved a hand dismissively to wave off the young mans attempts to help him up. "I'm fine, I'm fine....you're the one who looks like a war casualty." He pointed out, clamboring to his feet. One of the advantages, however few, he found to being a 'mixed blood' as he was meant that although he aged....rather badly compared to some...he wasn't half as decrepit as he was fairly sure he looked, though he could fake it well enough in a pinch. "...Anyway...I could have gotten out of the way if I'd been paying a little more attention to something else...as I'm sure you see." He grimaced, scowling at the orb, which seemed to have settled for the moment, though there was something damned impish about the way it was resting there that suggested that it would just dodge again if he made a move toward it. "Are you alright? I doubt I make the best landing pad..." A wry smile, with an edge of teeth, some of which are a touch sharper than they ought to be. "Too damn boney."

Truthfully, Tame's ribs hurt a lot more than he would have willingly let on, but that was his own fault for straining himself by running then falling over. He was a bit of a stubborn git when it came to admitting something was wrong with him, as he hated causing people trouble. If he hadn't passed out instantly when he got hit by that car he would definitely have said "It's ok, I'm fine, I don't need to go to hospital."
"What? This?" he said lifting his cast arm a little. "I just got into a little accident recently." he laughed nervously, there was someting about this man's smile that unsettled him. "And I'm fine, really, just a little winded."
He glanced at the two orbs. His own one seemed to be chirping happily at the other one. "You have one too. I thought I was the only one." he said, quickly changing the subject.

"So whats a big one? Missing limbs?" He joked, dusting himself off as he eyed the orbs again, slidelong. Funny how well they seemed to get on, and how quick they'd found each other.....and managed to engineer this little colision. "...I do. It showed up a few mights ago...." He volunteered the information cautiously, seeking reactions for good or ill. "Decided to be lively this morning for a change, it knocked over my music stand. I'd say I was trying to wear it out, but I'm not sure if you can...." The young man seemed to be human enough, though there was of course a lot of things he could be that -looked- human enough... His own orb swirlled inside contentedly, chirping in return, which did nothing to make him stop wondering if they'd somehow -planned- this. He paused another moment and offered a hand to Tame. "Erik Nihls."

The young man took the hand that was offered and shook it, though rather reluctantly. "I'm Tame Maibyo." he replied and glanced back to Abeo who, for an orb, looked very pleased with itself. "I think mine was given to me." he said. "When I was in hospital, somebody took the trouble of giftwrapping it and leaving it by my bed." he paused, unsure about whether to tell the other man about the note that came with it.

In spite of his perhaps...less than healthy complection, Erik's grip was firm enough, and at best only a little cool. "Well thats a more refined presentation than I received..." And didn't involve tresspassing into his room, somehow without being heard. "...My appologies." he added, in a gesture that was a calculated and incredibly polite snipe, though by this point he was no longer weather or not he actually saw reactions in peoples faces, or read them there by long experience. "I've been aware of the fact I come across as rather 'ghoulish' looking. But if there's anything actually wrong with me, rest assured no ones caught anything but the chance to look more interesting by comparison."

Feeling rather embarrassed, Tame cleared his throat and looked away. Had he been that easy to read? It was unusual that he should feel so uncomfortable, as he was usually fairly good with people. He knew when to smile and maintain eye contact and hold a conversation. But right now he was pretty much terrified of this man, and he hated himself for being so superficial. Just because someone looked a little...odd, most certainly did not mean that they were some kind of degenerate murderer or something. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be rude." he said weakly. It was a bit late for apologies, he thought about picking up Abeo and pegging it home, but his side still hurt and he probably wouldn't be able to get very far.

"Actually you were about as polite as I've seen." He offered an thinner smile, this one flashing no hint of his somewhat eerie teeth. "Technicly...it was rude of me to assume to know your mind." But on the nose apparently. He would have felt rather the fool if he'd been wrong, though this to some extent, largely bolstered his 'inner cynic'. But it made things no clearer on another front. The 'baubles' or 'orbs' or what have you. Why them? He couldn't draw a single paralel between himself and Tame to explain the arrivals. "hm. Makes you wonder if there's any planning at all doesn't it?" He noted, half forgetting that Tame was probably as likely as he was to develop the power to read minds.
