Who do you like better. Personally, I like Rose/Billie better, Freema really provides very little spark for me. I know it's kinda unfair to compare as we've had two series of Rose, and two episodes of Martha, but yeah....

I think I prefer Martha. Of course as you point out we're more used to Rose, but hey, anyone who saves the Doctor's life...

I live in America and have yet to see the new episodes of Doctor Who, so I am going to have to say Billie.

I can't stand Martha, for one reason and one reason only-- the Doctor couldn't get himself so badly buggered up with Rose as his companion. Now Martha's here, it's starting to look like open season on him! (And him an endangered species, too...) After all, she can fix him right up. Two close calls in as many episodes? I'm guessing this is just the beginning. Villains will be wiping the floor with him on a regular basis... sad

Blame the scriptwriters. Along those same lines, Martha's medical knowledge has saved the Doctor's life in both cases.

Martha just annoyed me with that whole mobile scene at the begining. I know too many people like her. But she started to grow on me when she started tlaking about Harry Potter with the Doctor. I'm sure that I'll warm to her in time.

i loved Rose heart she was dippy and a bit daft but she brought a bit of simple humanity to the whole thing, marthas ok though, shes a completely different character to Rose so i'll give her a chance, she was good in the shakespear episode.

Actually, Martha's got something going for her in my books-- she seems set to keep calling the Doctor "Mr Smith." Which is amusing. And he hasn't had any sort of nickname for a while, has he? Honestly, I don't mind her except for the fact she keeps letting him get his arse handed to him.
