I've been considering bleaching my hair in an attempt to look more like my idol, Harley Quinn. However, I'm afraid it might look bad. So I photoshopped two images of myself to give me blonde hair and a general idea of how it would look.  What do you think? Bleach it, and hope for the best, or continue being a red-headed Harley? Any of you ever bleached your hair, does it REALLY hurt as bad as people say it does?

Meh, it might not be so bad...if it gets dyed properly. It is hard to make sure it will look like you want it to though.

As Ve said, it's worth a try. You can always redye your hair darker if it doesn't work.
I'm going for white blonde myself. Halfway there-- currently your Photoshopped color. And yeah, it does wreak havoc on your hair.

Leatrice As Ve said, it's worth a try. You can always redye your hair darker if it doesn't work.
I'm going for white blonde myself. Halfway there-- currently your Photoshopped color. And yeah, it does wreak havoc on your hair. It's taken a few years to get healthy hair, and I'm scared of killing it to go blonde... only to not like it. And re-dying it dark right after bleaching it will not only wreak havoc on my hair, but my wallet as well.

So your choice make it wisely biggrin Judging by the horrible reaction most of my friends have had to the edit, and the fact that not even my boyfriend thinks I can pull it off, it seems I'm not going to do it. : ( I'm the only one who actually thought I looked cute in the pictures.

When I bleached my hair it got totally destroyed. It was in really horrible shape for a long time. It's still not fully recovered. ;(

I bleached my hair in December 05. Not all though, but I'd say about..half?
It really killed it, it turned all dry and disgusting like hay. It's grown out now, cos I've cut it all off, but I still remember the dryness. x__X
I think you should go for it though, it seems to suit you.
